the next day i woke up feeling refreshed. i sat up in bed and took a moment to stretch, enjoying the feeling of the morning sun on my skin. my phone pinged on the nightstand, signalling a notification. i grabbed it and saw a text message from drew. just as i was about to open the message, i got a phone call from the director, luca guadagnino.

him and i had worked on 'bones and all' together a few years back and became close in a sense. i smiled at his name on my phone and answered.

i hit the answer button and brought the phone to my ear. "luca, hi." i said, my voice a mixture of surprise and excitement. i hadn't spoken to him in a while, and i was curious as to why he was calling me out of the blue.

"azaria, good to hear from you." luca's voice came through the phone. "i have a project i'm working on right now, and i want to talk to you about something."

my interest was piqued at his words. "oh, yeah? what about?" i asked, sitting up a bit straighter in my bed.

"i've been working on a script for a new movie." he explained. "and when i was discussing possible actors for the roles, your name came up. and i immediately thought, yes, she's perfect."

my heart skipped a beat at his words, pride and excitement filling me. "really? that sounds amazing." i said, trying to maintain my composure. "but what's the project about?"

"the movie is about two people who meet under unexpected circumstances." he explained, his voice lowering. "they come from different worlds, but fate brings them together. and as their bond grows, they realize that they have an unspoken connection that surpasses anything they've ever experienced."

my curiosity was piqued. "that sounds...interesting." i said, my mind already racing with possibilities. "who did you have in mind for the other lead?"

"well, that's what i wanted to talk to you about." luca replied, the hint of a smile in his voice. "i was wondering if you'd be open to working with drew?"

my heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name. "drew?" i repeated, my voice wavering slightly. "drew as in drew who?" i asked. i had a feeling it was about my drew, but i wanted confirmation.

"yes, drew starkey." luca said, confirming my suspicion. "i have spoken with him already and he's very interested in the project. i was just calling to see if you were on board as well."

my mind was reeling with this new information. working with drew on a movie? it was both exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. i took a deep breath. "of course, i'd love to work with drew. plus i'd love to work with you again."

"excellent. i was hoping you'd say that." luca responded, a sense of satisfaction in his tone. "i'll have my team get in touch with your team to sort out the details. but i must say, i can't wait to see the two of you together on screen."

a mixture of nervousness and anticipation fluttered in my stomach at his words. "i can't wait either." i managed to say, a smile spreading across my face. "thank you for thinking about me for this role luca, i truly appreciate it."

"of course. your talent speaks for itself." luca replied, his tone sincere. "i'll speak to you soon, azaria. have a good day."

"you too. bye." i said, ending the call. i sat in silence for a moment, processing the conversation i just had.

my mind was filled with thoughts and emotions. working with drew would certainly bring a new dynamic to our relationship. i smiled as i opened my messages with drew to view his message.

sorry for the lack of updates on this book, i was at a point where i didn't know wtf to do for this book but i'm back now and expect loads of updates as this is the book i'm solely focused on!
