She gasped outward watching all the memories flow back into her mind. Her eyes widen with every memory that passed by, the laughs, the cries, the fights, the celebrations. She was reliving the past hundred years of her life on Asgard; her siblings, her birthday, her astounding red hair lighting up the world's eyes, the commoners that she'd visit, and what Loki had said before about Maximilian.

Maximilian wasn't a simple dragon, he was a dragon converted by Seraphina's magic. Sera was angered at her siblings for not letting her have the big ball for her sixteenth name day. She sought wcover in Max, who was her friend that she kept in secret due to the fact that he had taken a liking to Seraphina since she was younger, but Seraphina was part of the royal family and Max was a simple commoner. He admired her from afar, watching the younger Odinson play around in field along with her brother Loki. She would always have the biggest smile on her face while she played in the meadow, Max would often get in trouble by his parents for staring at the princess of Asgard. But his gawking and his parents yelling only made him even more determined to talk to the princess.
And that's exactly what he did the next day, opening his mouth and saying sweet things to her, slowly capturing her heart.

The only one who caught on was Loki, often noting that Seraphina would escape and bribe the guards to sneak off with Max. And just like in snap because of fit of anger, Seraphina converted her first love into a dragon. While in dragon form, Seraphina forgot everything and only focused on her anger not remembering that she lashed out at Max. The only one aware of what happened was a far off Loki in the corner.

"Why didn't you turn him back? Why did you never tell me? He's been living all this time as a dragon and you couldn't tell me!" Seraphina got angrier at Loki with every step she took towards him, watching him grow nervous at his sister's rage.

"Just like your memories, the person who inflicted the magic can be the only person to switch it back."

"Take me to Maximilian."

Loki took Seraphina to the meadow against all their siblings orders, but Seraphina was old enough to decide what was good or bad for her own sake. Loki wouldn't hurt her, not after she gave him another chance, he wouldn't hurt her because she was the only one who believed that he could change.

Reaching the meadow, Max soared high above their heads before landing with his enormous feet, and arching his wings back and eyeing the pair down. Seraphina didn't know what to do, say, or how to act. The simple friend that she thought she made was the first love of her life, and he didn't seem to be angered at her for what she did to him.

"How do I turn him back?" Seraphina asked Loki.

"You're a dragon, figure it out." Loki sassed at her.

"I'm not in the mood for sarcastic remarks, Loki. I would've gone to Tony for that. I need your help. I can't keep Max like this for another day." Seraphina begged for her brother's help once again.

"It has to come from within, like I said before you're the fire dragon. You're the literal Queen of all of them, you can figure it out sister." Loki offered his words of wisdom trying to at least guide Seraphina in the right motion. Any emotion at all would undone the magic done whether it be love, anger, sadness, or guilt.

Seraphina stepped closer to Max, laying her small hand on the side of his scaly face. Laying her hand on his face, Max leaned in closer to Seraphina almost in a comfort notion. He kept digging further down so that his whole body was hugging her, she still held her stance but was having a hard time trying to not shed a tear. "Max, I'm sorry. I remember everything, my past on Asgard, our story, and you being by my side until the end. I'm sorry that I don't know how to turn you back because if there's something that I want is to hug you again. I want to hear your voice, see your face, and touch your skin. But I can't. I can't. I'm the Queen of Dragons and I can't turn my ex boyfriend into a human being. There aren't anymore words beside I'm sorry." Seraphina hugged the dragon back shedding a small tear onto his scaly skin. She kept crying into his scales out of agony that she couldn't bring him back, but it was when Max started to feel somethings g change within him. Something wasn't the same.

Seraphina could feel a sensation burning her hands, actually causing her pain which she's never felt before. She stepped back looking down at her hands which were glowing red, magic. She felt afraid that the one opportunity she had could ended up going wrong, she started wheezing before lifting her hand up and facing it towards Max's direction. Seraphina turned away from as the magic erupted forward causing a blast of red energy to shoot at Max. The sonic boom of it caused an deep indent in the meadow with no dragon to be seen anywhere. Seraphina and Loki both looked at each other before going over to see what had happened. Looking into the hole, they saw a man sprawled in the dirt, shivering at the sudden change in temperature due to the dragon's skin.

Seraphina jumped into the whole running down towards Max, checking to see if he was alright. She moved his hands away from his face carefully using her gentle touch to calm him down. "Max, it's me. You're fine. It's alright. You're back." He had an immediate reaction to hearing Seraphina's voice again jumping to his feet and wrapping her in his embrace, she held onto him clenching her hands to not let go.

"All these years, you're still as beautiful as I remember." Max cupped her cheeks leaning in towards her but was held at a distance by Seraphina.

"I have to apologize-"

"You're already forgiven, my queen. All these years I'd hope that you'd return to me and you did. You came with the Goddess Isa, and I knew you've returned to your home. You're here in Asgard right where you need to be."

"Yes. I returned but Max, I was on Midgard for all these years. Loki condemned me to live an eternity there and it was only recently that I remembered you because my lost memories had been restored."

"I don't follow, my Queen."

"I've found comfort in the arms of another while you were my first love, the man that I love has my heart completely."

"But I don't understand Seraphina, we were made to end up together always, love." Max used words that Seraphina would imagine Steve would say if she was back on Earth. Steve had her heart now and he had in completely, she didn't know if he felt the same but if he did then Seraphina had the best love in the world.

"I'm sorry if this is hard to hear Max, but Steve is the love of my life now."

Seraphina could tell that Max was holding back from letting a full sob out at this point, "He's the love of your life, but you will always be the love of mine." Max held a long kiss to the top of Seraphina's forehead before walking away from her forever. He was heartbroken by the woman who he waited his entire life for, he wished he was the man she loved but she would comfort in the arms of another.

Seraphina and Loki returned to the castle only to be yelled at by their older siblings. They didn't care of what their siblings had felt about their disobeyed orders. Loki was the God of Mischief and Seraphina was the Goddess of Dragons, both of their rigid characters didn't care of what they were being scolded at.

"Seraphina, you can't just come and go as you please especially with our brother who caused you damage. You're the princess of Asgard and have to act as such, going around and complete your own endeavors isn't what you were raised on." Thor scolded at the two especially at Seraphina who had more on the line than Loki.

"No, I wasn't raised on that but you are wrong about certain things, brother. I'm no princess, I am Queen. The matter of fact is that I've received my memories again and I remember what my childhood was like, our little fights, when we would play hide and seek in the throne room, and when I would comfort Loki for being the one left out. I get that I have a duty to Asgard but I can protect myself, and I've proven it time and time again when I was living on Midgard." Seraphina yelled storming out of the room with Loki smiling in the corner of the room. Sera heard the pleas of her siblings about her misbehavior but she was independent and she'd proven that to everybody. But her siblings didn't stop her from leaving but a strange woman figure stopped her from leaving. Seraphina made her way around her but the woman didn't let her leave, when Seraphina tried once more the woman tackled her to the ground holding her down.

"Let me go!" Seraphina struggled trying to escape from her grasp. "Thor, do something."

Thor looked at the woman and gave her a small nod, releasing her grasp on Seraphina who let out a grunt. "What the hell is going on?" Seraphina asked, "Do you know her?"

"Seraphina, meet Alessandra she's your-"

"I'm your protector more importantly the protector of the famous fire dragon."
