"You boys have been so good lately!" The mother suddenly spoke.. That's what sent Edd in a spiral.

"Thomas, I haven't heard a single complaint of you talking back! The teacher is so proud of you my boy!" She kissed his forehead as he did a small, somewhat cheeky, smile. Edd just stared at him, only with his eyes, so his mother didn't notice, but now he knew tom wasn't allowed to be followed. Since he broke his bad ways and became 'a good boy', the boogeyman had no choice but to leave him.. Heck, he got a confirmation when his mother gave him a piece of candy after he ate all his breakfast! He never had that when he was 'bad'.

Now he was wondering, did Matt break his habit of biting his fingernails? Because another reason the boogeyman came was because Matt bit his nails obsessively. But..so far he didn't. Another confirmation came as he was about to understand Matt broke that habit. "Also, I didn't forget you, Matt!" The mother hugged him as he hugged back, with his kind hearted smile. "I'm glad you stopped biting your finger nails.." She bumped his arm with her elbow as she winked, and he just smiled back again. Edd was outraged, how the hell did the brothers stop being naughty under his nose?!

His mother looked at Edd. He knew he'd be compared. All parents did it. But surprisingly his mother sat something in front of him. He slowly looked up, his hair still frizzy.

'You ripped the toy's head off, so I got you a new one honey, I hope you get better soon

Edd then noticed something.. When he did wake up, there was fluff from insides a bear. He saw a grey tabby cat plus, with cute button eyes and sewed on smile, small whiskers on it, it also had stripes that were a darker grey. Edd just took the plush and sat it down in his lap as they all ate..

Edd slowly realized all he had on his side was a plush, flashlight and his instincts... He no longer had another accompany..
