"Today's little moments become tomorrow's precious memories."
Day one of waking up in their new house, Pan and Logan had ended up sleeping in the same bed again.
Not like that you weirdos.
Nightmares from the younger teen had woken the older teen up and she had immediately rushed next door to him. Comforting the boy until he came back to the present moment and then he fell asleep next to Pan in his bed, trapping her in his arms as he hugged her in his sleep. His grip almost deathly tight as he clung to her as if he would lose her.
Pan had stayed with him, and eventually fallen into slumber as well, her arm that was wrapped around him not leaving him at all durning her sleep.
Panacea had woken up first like normal, and just lay quietly next to her younger cousin until he woke up a good hour and a half later as the smell of pancakes wafted into the room.
"Mornin'," Logan mumbled to Pan who chuckled as she took in his bed ridden appearance.
His dark brown hair was sticking up in places, and in other places it was flattened down against his head, "I look stupid, don't I?" Logan asked his older cousin.
Pan's giggles as she left the bed was his answer and Logan groaned as he reached up to attempt to flatten his hair down.

'What's the plan today?' Pan managed to sign to her mother between another fork full of pancakes.
Thalia sighed from the oven, the two teens sitting in front of her on the island, "Well, we have a booking at the hospital," both teens flinched uncomfortably at the mention of the place they both ended up going to after past accidents, "For a check up for you both, then we have a few more documents that I need to finish up at the Council."
Both teens looked unenthusiastic, "Great," Logan muttered as Pan sighed, poking at her pancakes with a deep frown on her face.
"Oh, come on," Thalia rolled her eyes at them, "It won't be too bad."
Logan and Pan simultaneously looked up at her and had the exact same deadpanned expressions.
"Hopefully?" Thalia managed out in a weak voice with a weak smile.
'Doubtful,' they both signed together.
Thalia sighed, facepalming at them as they smiled innocently at her.

After Logan's check up(everything was healing fine still, no problems at all.), it was time for Pan's.
Everything was running smoothly until the blood test.
"What the..?" The nurse muttered as she looked at the screen. The results of the blood test available to see on the screen.
"What?" Thalia asked, her curiosity(and worry) getting the best of her as she moved closer to the nurse and the computer.
The nurse frowned, "It seems that there's an error in the reading, it says that there's an extra chromosome in your daughter's blood cells."
Pan and Logan shared a glance as Thalia glanced back at them, "What does that mean?"
"Either you or your husband have an extra chromosome, or her genes have mutated, either from a radiation or a meiosis has gone wrong," the nurse said simply as she wrote something down on her clipboard.
"Will it affect Pan in any way?" Thalia asked carefully.
The nurse shook her head, "If it hasn't affected her by now, I highly doubt it," she said easily, "There is a low chance of anything abnormal happening but it's very unlikely."
The three breathed out in relief, causing the nurse to give them an odd look, "Are you alright?" she asked all of them.
"Yes, thank you," Thalia answered quickly, "So is there anything else?"
"Nope," The nurse smiled, "Everything is healthy with Panacea."
Pan smiled weakly as Logan slipped his hand into hers.
Looks like their good luck had run to the end of its course.

'Life sucks,' Logan signed to Pan as they waited for Thalia to finish the documents that she had finally got from someone at the help desk(after an hour and a half(!), most of which Pan and Logan had spent spamming each other on their cell phones).
'Tell me about it,' Pan sighed, 'And I'm the one with a mutation.'
'Well,' Logan tilted his head slightly, 'At least there's a high chance that it won't really affect you at all. So there's nothing to worry about.'
'Yet,' Pan finished his sentence, a small glimmer appearing in her eyes that Logan didn't understand, 'There's still a chance that something could happen.'
'But it's extremely unlikely,' Logan countered swiftly. His hands shaking slightly at the mere thought of losing Pan.
Pan narrowed her eyes onto him, 'But there's still a chance.'
'And yet, it's still unlikely,' Logan repeated firmly, a hard, determined look on his face.
The Hammer girl sighed, 'I'm assuming that my mutation was caused by those pills,' She gave Logan a hard look to which he bit his lip nervously as his fingers fumbled in his lap, 'And knowing both my father, and your father, as well as the company they are working at slash that Silas owns,' Logan's face unconsciously hardened at the mention of his father's new name, 'That whatever was in those pills is at least going to be harmful to me at some point in time.'
'You make it sound like you're going to die,' Logan chuckled weakly, his eyes watering slightly as he sniffed slightly.
Pan said nothing, only taking his hand in hers and smiling at him. An odd sort of resignation sparkling in her duller green eyes.
"All done," Thalia said finally, making the two teens look at her as she stood up to stretch her arms, "As soon as these are processed, we'll be legally free of those two."
Logan grinned a relieved smile, "Fantastic," he said, jumping up and hugging his aunt, his hand slipping out of Pan's as he did.
Pan couldn't help but smile as she stood up, hugging her mother and cousin as well, even if she had doubts about somethings, she knew for certain that this is what she wanted.
A real family.
Here's Chapter Thirty Three, 'cause I really want a question answered on this chapter so I can start the next one, so double update!
I finally have some plot for those pills.
You have no idea how it was p***ing me off that I had no clue on what I was doing with that small plot.
Important Question!: Did any of you want to see something specific before I head back into the TFP episodes?
What the frag is up with the no notifications?
And if you hadn't noticed, I have an updating schedule now. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday this book will be updated.
But(!), until the notifications on Wattpad go back to normal this will be the last update for a while. Sorry to Pan's loyal followers.
Hope you enjoyed!
