Pᴀɴᴀᴄᴇᴀ Hᴀᴍᴍᴇʀ
Lee knocked on Panacea's door, "Panacea?"
There was rustling before the door opened swiftly and a blur of black, orange, white and blue quickly hugged her father's chest.
"Hey, sweetie," Lee chuckled as he pressed a kiss to her head.
A small humm vibrated from Pan's throat, without letting any words escape and she pulled back slightly from Lee's chest to smile up at him.
Lee's breath caught in his throat at the pure and innocent look on his daughter's face. Even after all this time, she always would be kept apart from the true evils of this world.
"I'm sorry it took so long to come back this time," Lee apologized as he pulled back from her.
Pan's smile dimmed slightly but regained itself as she darted back into her room. She came back out with post-it notes and a pen.
'You came back. I'm really happy to see you again,' Pan wrote, 'I want to tell you so much.'
"Over dinner?" Lee asked, a smile on his face, "Your mother's cooking."
Pan's face lit up, 'Mom's cooking is awesome! You missed out on a lot of great meals.'
"I bet I have," Lee messed up Pan's hair which gained a mock glare from her, "Want to head to the lounge, little keeper?"
Pan grinned at the nickname, nodding her head as she lead the way. Her post-it notes and pen in hand.
Lee chuckled at her carefreeness as he trailed after her. Pan smiled to her mother as she passed the doorway into the kitchen. Thalia smiled back to her daughter before going back to cooking.
Pan entered the lounge and flopped onto her usual couch. The pillow with a hammer stitched on it squished under her backside.
Lee laughed at the look on Pan's face, one fullied of content as she lay back on her favourite seat.
"So I heard you have new friends," Lee started as he sat down on a spare seat, "any of them boys," he teased.
Pan scowled at him and poked her tongue out, 'I don't like them romantically,' She wrote down.
"Good," Lee laughed, "Wouldn't want to hunt them down and give them the dad talk."
Pan laughed silently, reaching over to punch her father's arm with a mock scowl and Lee laughed.
"How are your grades?" Lee asked, raising an eyebrow suspiciously.
"Her grades are prefect. All A's," Thalia cut in as she carried three trays with plates of food on them, into the lounge. Thalia handed Pan her tray that had a greenish colored pill on the side.
'Thanks, Mom,' Pan smiled as she held the note up.
"No problem, honey," Thaila smiled before handing Lee his plate and sitting down on her usual seat.
"All A's?" Lee grinned, "Congrats."
'Thanks,' Pan showed him the note before quickly taking her pill before having any food. She sculled down the water in her glass as she swallowed the pill.
Lee managed to hide his surprise, "You still take the pills?"
Pan nodded, grimacing at the bitter taste of the pill. 'Always.'
"She needs them, otherwise she'll get sick," Thalia said, narrowing her accusing eyes on Lee that Pan didn't notice, the Hammer girl munching away on her dinner, before going to her own dinner.
Lee hid the wince as he dug into his own meal, his eyes widened, "This is delicious," He grinned.
Pan grinned at him in a "I-Told-You-So" way as Thalia's cheeks pinkened the slightest at his comment.
"Thanks," Thalia muttered. Then the family of three lulled into silence.

Pan lay in her bed, looking at the ceiling of her room.
The light from the moon shining through the gap in her curtains as she heard her parents frustrated whisper-shouts at each other from down the hall, her door open just a crack, the light from the hallway streaming in.
"What are in those pills, Lee!" Pan winced at the venom in her mother's voice.
"Nothing dangerous, they're helping her, I swear!" Lee's voice insisted furiously.
"Then why does everytime I try to take her off them, she gets sick?" Thalia hissed at him.
"I don't know, I swear," Lee told her, "They shouldn't do that."
"Then why does it happen, Lee, this is our daughter at risk!" Thalia almost shouted.
"Don't you think I know that, Thals!" Lee snapped back.
Pan sighed and stood up, silently making her way to the door that she slammed shut, effectively shutting both of her parents up.
Pan lay back in her bed and sighed as she closed her eyes, falling into a deep slumber.

"Pan, honey?" Thalia's voice whispered as she gently shook her daughter's sumbering body.
Pan blinked as she woke up, her face showing her confusion as she rolled over to face her mother.
"He's gone. He left shorty after you shut your door last night," Thalia sighed shaking her head grimly to her daughter.
Pan sighed before she threw herself into her mother's arms, a sob escaping her lips as they hugged each other.
"Did you want to stay home today?" Thalia whispered after she pressed a fond kiss to Pan's head.
Pan shook her head with a small, sad smile.
"Want to hang with your new friends?" Thalia chuckled knowingly as she released Pan.
Pan chuckled and nodded her head.
"Alright then," Thalia smiled, her eyes twinkling with amusement, "I'll leave you to get ready."
Pan nodded her thanks as her mother left the room. A sigh escaped Pan's lips as she finally got out of her nice, warm, and comfy bed.
Here's Chapter Seven.
