Thoma sat on the edge of your bed, looking at you.

"I want to stay tonight. It'll be easier tomorrow."

"I have a few extra pillows in a separate pile. They're clean, so don't worry."

You struggled to get up, but Thoma stopped you.

"Wait, wait, wait!"

"I got it, don't worry. It's your time to rest."

"Where's the other pile?"

"It's in that little crevice over there."

You pointed.

"Make sure you get a few so you can lay on some too."

"Maybe I'll steal another mattress for you someday."

Thoma chuckled while putting the pillows down on the ground.

"Let's lay off the theft for a while, yeah?"

"How am I supposed to live?"

As the sun rose, you sat on the grass. It was a little chilly outside, but you didn't mind. You grew bored while waiting for Thoma to wake up and began picking at all the different flowers on the ground.

*Yawn* "You're up early."

"Yes."

Thoma

"Y'know what time it is?"

"Seven three three."

Thoma

"... Sorry?"

"Yes. I can read time."

"Oh! You have a watch."

He realized, looking over your shoulder.

"I do?"

"Yes. That's the correct way to say it."

"Oh. It just changed. It's 7:34 now."

"See? You're a natural."

You smiled.

"Not many people are out in the city right now."

"If you lay low, I could buy us something to eat."

Thoma searched the area for a fruit vendor. He led you to one and picked up a Sunsettia.

"Yes, it has a name. It's called a sunsettia."

He gave the vendor some mora.

He asked, while you two continued to walk around Inazuma City, eating sunsettias.

"Oh, come on, not everyone is terrible."

"You're the one person that isn't terrible."

Thoma turned his head to look at you, still walking. You were just looking down at your feet, watching your footsteps to conceal yourself.

"He's not terrible."

"We've been down here for hours... Are we even still in Inazuma?"

You laughed, skipping through the wide path in a cave. You were way underground; you didn't even know how to get back up.

"This was a really stupid idea. Is there any other way that I can make up for it and get my bracelet back?"

"My mom gave me that necklace, and you broke it."

"So you're going to find it and get me a new one."

"Yeah. She's dead. So don't you go spitting in my face, talking about how it was 'just a cheap necklace'; it was important to me."
