Thoma

"So... I'm surprised that this part of Liyue is pretty much closed off."

"I went to the harbour today, it was pretty nice."

"Shitty weather still, though."

You

"..."

No reply.

You were still unconscious and resting on several pillows.

Every day, Thoma would talk to you. Even annoy you. Impatience was getting to him.

Thoma

"... Can't believe this will probably last for yet another week."

"Oh! And I've still been trying to look for the gem — I think I've got us a lead."

"I sound crazy."

He told himself. 

Thoma sighed and lay down on the pillow stack next to you. Every hour or so, Thoma would change the chilled cloth on your head.

"Food... Please..."

Thoma saw a weak individual with a cloak over their head, crawling towards him.

Thoma

*Gasp*

"Jeez... Sorry, you startled me."

???

"I need food..."

Thoma

"Oh, uhm... Alright. Let's see what we have here..."

As Thoma reached out to grab a loaf of bread from his bag of food, he noticed in the corner of his eye — the suspicious individual was reaching for your leg. 

Thoma quickly grabbed his polearm and made an attempt to slice their arm off. 

Thoma

"Stop right there! What do you want?!"

???

*Sigh*

"Guess I'm not good at acting after all."

"It's obvious as to what I want."

They took their hood down and revealed their identity.

Thoma

"Heizou, what the fuck?!"

Heizou

"So, what's going on between you two?"

"Hm?"

Thoma

"I-"

Heizou

"So what, you fuck with them for one night, and suddenly you're all over them?"

Thoma

"That's not how it is!"

He yelled, flustered out of his mind.

Heizou

"Pfft... Whatever. You know why I'm here."

"I'm getting that bounty."

"No matter what it takes."

Thoma gave him an upset glare.

Thoma

"How did you even-"

Heizou

"Again, why do you always seem to forget the fact that I'm a detective?"

"We don't have to make things difficult, Thoma. Just hand them over, easy as that."

"They're blacked out. This is my opportunity."

Thoma

"I trusted you..."

Heizou

"Yeah? You told me not to tell anyone you guys fucked. And I did just that."

"I never said I wouldn't come after them."

"I'm surprised you haven't turned them in, hah."

Thoma

"Well... I sort of made a deal with them, so there's no getting out of this now."

"Someone like me can't take down Y/N like that."

"Really, I don't think anyone can."

Heizou

"Wowie! Someone's gotten to know Y/N."

"Ah... Okay, I'm tired of talking."

"Hand them over."

Thoma

"No."

Heizou

*Sigh*

Heizou swung his leg around, sending an immense wave of Anemo energy straight for Thoma's face. 

Thoma was blown away, and Heizou swung you over his shoulder.

Thoma

"Y/N!"

The unending night came to an abrupt end. The sun rose and gleamed instantly. Heizou glanced around in confusion and felt a strong grasp on his garments.

Thoma

"The sun?..."

You

"Unhand me."

Heizou

They're awake?!

With a tight grip on his clothes, you turned things around — Heizou was now thrown over your shoulder while you stood tall. 

In an attempt to escape your grasp, Heizou only ended up getting worse injuries. You threw him to the ground, and he lay there, helpless.

Thoma

"Y/N?..."

Thoma was still sitting inside the cave that he'd been camping in for the past week after being blown away by Heizou, watching you beat the shit out of him.

Heizou's hands twitched as you threw plenty of fists into his face, attempting to grab hold of the grass surrounding him in a state of severe pain. 

Thoma

"W-Wait..."

"Y/N stop!"

At this rate, you were going to kill him.

You took a dagger out from Heizou's pocket and...

Stuck it through your own head.

.

.

Aimed right through your forehead.

You stood still, just sitting on top of Heizou's bloody body, as your own blood dripped down your face. 

Heizou

"..."

"What?..."

Both Thoma and Heizou shared afraid and confused expressions.

You

"Mmh... Stop it."

Thoma

"Y/N?..."

Thoma finally got up, approaching you and Heizou.

You

"Hey, Thoma..."

Thoma

"Yes?"

He replied almost instantly.

You

"Help me... Take the knife out please."

Thoma

"Oh, I don't know... What if I-"

You

"You won't mess anything up. Trust me."

"Just help me take it out."

Thoma

"Oh..."

"Okay..."

Thoma took a big, deep breath in and wrapped his hand around the handle of the dagger, slowly removing it from your forehead. 

Heizou, on the other hand, was still bloody and twitching on the ground from the impact you caused upon him.

You

"Ouch."

Thoma

"Sorry... I'm trying my best here."

Once the dagger was fully removed from your head, you let out a big breath of relief. 

You ripped a piece of Heizou's clothing and used it to wipe the blood dripping from your head, which was already stopping. 

Heizou was still twitching.

Thoma

"Uhm..."

You

"Ugh. The pussy's having a seizure."

Thoma

"A seizure?! We need to get him a doctor right now!"

You

"He'll be fine."

"It's what he gets for trying to take me."

Thoma

"He's still twitching! Y/N, we need to get someone!"

You

"He'll be fine."

Heizou abruptly stopped twitching and sat up, breathing ever so heavily.

Heizou

"You... You're fucking crazy!"

You

"I don't care."

Heizou

"Ugh... Thoma, what are you doing travelling around with a fucking monster?!"

Heizou yelled while tenderly taking care of his broken and bloody nose.

Thoma

"..."

You

"Why don't you answer that question, Thoma?"

Thoma

"Oh, I uh... I don't know how to answer that question."

"A-Anyways..."

"Y/N, there's... A lot we need to talk about."

You

"Like?"

Thoma

"A lot."

Heizou

"Are you just leaving me here?!"

You

"Yes, yes we are."

"Goodbye, detective."

-A SHORT DISTANCE FROM LIYUE HARBOUR, BY THE OCEAN-

Thoma

"So... What was that?"

You

"What was what?"

Thoma

"Come on Y/N, you know what I'm talking about."

You two sat beside each other by the ocean, not too far from the harbour, but not too close so citizens could spot the two of you.

You

"The... Nap?"

Thoma chuckled.

Thoma

"Now we both know that wasn't just a nap."

"Talk to me."

Thoma turned his body so he was now facing you.

Thoma

"You know, Xiao told me a few things."

You

"About?!"

You eagerly asked.

Thoma

"He uh... Told me this isn't the first time it's happened."

"Xiao uttered something that hasn't left my mind still."

"He told me — 'Expect it to be dark for a while' or something along those lines. I can't quite remember."

You

*Sigh*

"How long was I out for? A week? Two weeks?"

Thoma

"No, no, only one."

You

"Good."

"... That happens sometimes. When injuries are too grave, I just knock myself out for a week or two. It doesn't really matter, though."

*Sigh* "I knew this was going to happen."

Thoma

"Can you please explain?"

You gave him an angry look.

You

"Why do you want to know so much about me?!"

Thoma

"Because, Y/N."

"There's so much about you that I want to know."

"Everybody makes you out to be someone you're not. I know there's more to you than just... 'Y/N'".

You

"Who are you?... The Thoma I know isn't wise."

He chuckled.

Thoma

"I'm Thoma."

"Who are you?"

You sighed and looked off into the ocean on Liyue Harbour. 

You

"I am..."
