I woke up from the sun hitting my face. I rubbed my eyes. I looked to the side and saw BB-8 gone, probably with Poe or Rey. I sat up from the bed.

"Ben!" I yelled at i saw him at the foot of my bed. Him just standing there scared the living shit out of me. I held my hand over my chest. "Were you watching me sleep?"

"No, i just came in." I rolled my eyes. Bens been doing this connection thing for a while now, its been about a year now. I didn't mind, i get to see Ben, not Kylo Ren for the first time. I pulled off the covers and walked to the sink. I heard a cough coming from Ben. I wiped off the water from my face with a towel. I grabbed some clothes for the training session that Poe and I are having for the new pilots. I dressed up.

"Don't you have something better to do? I don't know, force choke someone? Why do always talk to me?" Ben gave it a second.

"I like your company." I turned around, trying so hard not to smile.

"If you want to come, I'm doing some training. If that doesn't bore you." I told him as I walked to the door.

"If you're inviting." We both walked to the base. He couldn't see where I was since i didnt let him. "Aren't you small to fly a ship?" I faked a laugh.

"Don't underestimate my ability." I crossed my arms, talking low so nobody will find me crazy talking to myself.

"What are you, pilot? Commander?"

"Co-commander. Poe and I share the title." He hums. "Dont you have something to do at your base? I seem to think that you're just in your room, just talking to me. I do have to say Ben-" he gave me a look, "don't try to fall for me." He chuckles.

"Not planning on it. I have more interesting things to do than fall for you."

"You did kiss me. You were definitely not planning on that." I pointed out from a long time ago. Remembering that moment brought back so much. It hurts.

"I didn't want to leave that adorable face hanging." I clicked my tongue.

"So you still think im adorable?" I laughed.

"Did not." He lied, he totally did.

"Did too!"

"Did not!" He started to get red.

"Did too!" I yelled. I stopped myself. I felt eyes on me. I slowly turned around, every crew member looked at me. "What? You never seen someone talk to herself before?" They all stayed silent. "What would General Leia say if she saw all of you just standing there?" They all went back to work.

"We would need someone like you on my base."

"Over my dead body." Poe comes out of nowhere, giving me a confused look.

"Who are you talking to?" I gulped. I looked at Ben, who's behind Poe. Poe turned around and saw nothing. "Hera?" I shut down the connection between me and Ben.

"Lets get this training on the road." I smiled as I walked in the base where we were training. "Hello everyone! My name is Hera Dameron."

"Im Poe Dameron. Today we'll show you the basics, since these are newer ships to you, we have to go over all the controls." Someone raised their hand. "Yes?"

"Is it true that you dated Kylo Ren?" The pilots started to talk. I took a deep breath. How did they know? It was kept a secret. Poe turned to me. He saw  how terrified i was.

"Anything pilot related?" Poe suggested. Trying to save me from the pain. "Not Kylo Ren related? Please?" He claps his hands.

"Did he give you that scar?"

"Did you make Kylo Ren?"

"Did you beat him? Thats why you got the scar?"

"Do you still love him?" I ran out of the room. It was too much to handle. I took myself outside, calm, peaceful. What i needed. I played with my necklace, side to side.

"You dated Kylo Ren?" Rey comes in. I sighed. "Im sorry, i just overheard everything."

"Kylo and I had a thing. Before he turned into Kylo Ren." Rey sat down across from me.

"You knew him before?"

"Ben Solo. He was sweet, kind, caring and just beautiful. I fell for him when I getting trained by Master Luke. Even though it was forbidden to date, we didnt care. But i said something and I told myself that the jedi life wasn't for me, i left. Just now, i found out that Kylo was Ben." I touched the necklace. "It did break my heart, but i know deep down, Ben's alive." Rey just looked at me. I tried not to break down, not in front of her.

"He kept you at the base because he still cares."

"You think so?" I chuckled. Then i sat there, collecting my thoughts. I cant even tell anymore.

"Ive looked in his mind. He hasn't forgotten you. He hoped one day he'll find you. Keep you safe." Rey looked at me. "All he cares about is keeping you safe, from everything and Kylo." I took a deep breath. He cares still. Chewie tells Rey to get ready as they were leaving in a few. "Since this whole finding Skywalker, and me being force sensitive, I wanted to say thank you."

"For what?" I laughed.

"For helping me out." For the past year, ive been training Rey. How to control the force, little things ive done back then.

"Its my pleasure Rey. When you see Master Luke, tell him I said hi." I stood up to give Rey a hug. "Good luck."

"I need all the luck I need." She hugged me back.

"Safe travels Rey."

"You be safe too Hera." She walks away as I sat back down. I traced my fingers with the table patterns. I walked back to the training room, Poe was in serious mode, yelling at the pilots.

"Hera?" I quickly turned around. I nearly tripped over myself.

"Jules?" She smiles as she came for a hug. It's so good to finally see her. After all this time. "Where have you been?"

"Just came back from a mission, Jedis needed help." I just smiled at her. My best friend. "Ive been here and there. Im just so glad to see you again."

"I thought you were gone!"

"I told the General and Poe not to tell you that i was here. I didn't want to interfere your work."

"Im just glad you're safe." I just cant believe it. "How you been? Anything new? Its just been a long time."

"So long." She laughs. "Well, i went across the galaxy, looking for some jedis. No luck. We didnt stop. General wanted us back at base."

"What about the others? What happened that night that Ben destroyed the temple." She sighs.

"I barely escaped." She shook her head.

"What happened?"

"I think its for the best Hera." I looked at her. She saw how much i needed to know. "I overheard Master Luke talk about Ben. He had this darkness rising in him. He went to confront him. And Ben turned on him. When I escape with the others, the temple was burning. He had vanished with a handful of other students. And slaughtered the rest. Leia blamed Snoke." I covered my mouth. "See Hera, it was better not to tell you. Leia and Han-"

"I needed to know." She grabbed my arms.

"Ben-"

"Is Kylo Ren, i know. I've seen him." Her eyes widen. "Im just trying to puzzle this in."

"He isnt Ben Solo you knew." I looked down. I cant believe it. I pulled my hair as i was stressed. "I know this is hard to take in." I trusted him, i regained his trust for the past couple of months. "Im sorry Hera. I really am." She grabbed my arm. I looked at her with teary eyes. I shook my head.

"I have to go." I walked back into the training. Poe jumped down from the plane, after he saw me. He wipes my tear and gives me a hug.
