The Force Awakens

I gasp for air as I woke up from my 'coma'. Rey held me down. I looked at them with fear. Rey called in Chewie, who held me down. I saw Finn, not responding.

"Stay still Hera." Rey touched my hand, I started to calm down. "I fought him. Its okay now."

"What? How?" I looked at her. Then there was a pull. "You're force sensitive." There was some dark pull, just like I had with Ben, a long time ago, but there was more light than dark.

"Kylo Ren wont hurt you anymore." She stood up, i grabbed her hand.

"Rey?" She looked back at me. "Are you okay?"

"I will for know. You should get some rest. Its been a long day for you. We're landing in 10." She walked out. I pulled my knees to my chest. I couldn't get the idea what had just happened. That isn't Ben, but still, deep down, he's in there. Im not going to stop trying. The ship landed. I got out of the ship, behind everyone. They were hugging each other. BB-8 ran to me. He made a happy shriek.

"Hey, i missed you too." I kneeled down. He was happy to see me.

"Hera?" I stood up and saw Poe. The worry in his eyes were suddenly gone. "Oh thank goodness." He ran up to me, hugging. I hugged him back, tight. "I thought I lost you." He cried.

"You cant get rid of me that easy." He chuckles. He pulls me away from the hug. He saw my face. He traced the wound. I winced in pain.

"Kylo?" I didn't answer, i just looked away. He just hugged me again. I cried on his shoulder.

"It was Ben." There was nothing from Poe. I just stayed in his arms. I needed it.

"Hera come, we need to heal that properly." Said Rex as he took me away. I sat on the table, as he put bandages on. I was just in my tank top and pants, it was hot and i just couldn't breathe. "Kylo Ren did that?"

"Uh yeah. I tried to beat him, but he was too strong." I dangle my legs back and forth. Rex came and sat down with me as he was done treating the scar on my face.

"Im glad your back. Everyone was getting worried about you. We didn't hear from you for days. We all thought you were gone. General Leia was devastated. She knew you were alive though. She didn't give up on you." I nodded my head. "Poe was so sad, he wanted to go back and get you but, he knew the risks. He knew you wouldn't want him to come back for you." I looked at Rex. He was sad.

"Whats wrong Rex?" I asked him.

"I know you don't like me, but I care about you." My face fell. "As a friend. Just you in that horrible base, i didn't want to think that you were dead. With everything that's happening now, i just don't know what to believe anymore." I grabbed his hand. He picked up his head.

"As a friend, We're all we have now. I promised that I give my life to the resistance, like my parents. Don't stop believing Rex, you can do so much more." I patted his hand. I jumped off of the bed and grabbed my top. "You're not that bad Rex."

"Thanks." I waved goodbye as I walked out of the room. I started to head to the quarters. Everyone started to turn to look at me. I gave them a little wave. I started to make my way to the front where Leia was. Leia's face softens. She comes up to me and touches the scar that Ben gave me. I winced.

"Hera-"

"Its fine." I told her, holding her hand. Poe just looked at us from the distance.

"Come, so we talk somewhere quiet." I followed her to a small room.

"I saw him Leia. It was Ben." I started to tear up. "I tried to stop him." Leia comes up to me and wipes my tears away.

"He's still in there, i know it. Ben is still there."

"I told him to come home. I saw his face, as if he was controlled or something." I rubbed my face, making me see stars. "You should've seen him Leia."

"He still does care about you, thats for sure." I faked chuckled. "Why do you think he let you go so easy?" She wasn't wrong. Out of all the times he could've killed me, he didn't. Him slashing my face, that wasn't him, but he could've done worse. "I can sense him Hera, he feels guilty what he did to Han and you. Hes not too far from coming to the light side. When he saw you at Jakku, you were scratching the surface. Now we just have to dig deeper."

"We can bring him back?" She nods.

"It'll take time, but there will be a time he'll come back." I hugged her. "You are a brave girl. I love you for that. I cant tell you how proud i am of you." She moved my hair to the side. "Hera Dameron, you are the best warrior." I gave her a half smile.

"General, come look at this." We both looked at each other. She reminds me so much of him. The kindness, the love, he got from her.

"Go on General." I bowed. Leia chuckled. She gave me a kiss on the head as she left. I left to go to my room. BB-8 followed me. "Had fun on your little mission?" He nodded. "I know you did." I plopped on my bed. I just stared at the ceiling. No thoughts, nothing. I kicked off my boots from my bed and just listen to BB-8 sing, I closed my eyes. I heard breathing, not mine. I quickly sat up. I walked out of the room and followed the feeling. I slid down the halls, kept walking away from the room. I stopped outside, there he was, just standing there. I was looking around, hoping nobody would see him.

"Hera."

"You need to leave." I raised my hand. I closed my eyes. It has to be a dream. I had to be sleeping.

"No you're not." I looked at him, up and down, shook to the core.

"You cant be here." I turned the other way to go back to my room. I shut the door behind me. I placed my head against it.

"The force is still connecting us." I jumped from his voice, that was coming from my room now. "You cant escape that."

"Why are you here?" I turned to him. It seems so real, as if he was here. His tall, black figure just standing in my room.

"Please forgive me." I walked up to him. Looking down at my small figure. We just looked at each other. Him staring me down and me staring him down.

"What do you want from me?" I whispered.

"You. All I want is you." He looked at the scar on my face. "I didn't mean to do that."

"But you did it."

"Snoke wanted me to do it. I didn't want to." He told me, without breaking eye contact.

"I? Meaning Kylo or Ben?" I saw the scar i gave him, same place he gave me.

"Hera?" I turned to my left to see Poe walking to me. I turned back to Ben, who was gone. "Who were you talking to?"

"Nobody." I pushed my hair back. "I was just talking to myself." Poe nodded slowly. "Whats up?"

"Just came to check up on you." He leaned against my wall. "So Ben did that?" He pointed at the scar. I nodded.

"He's not himself. Leia and I want to bring him to the light." He sighed and looked at me.

"You still wont let him go huh?" I shook my head. "Do you believe you can save him?"

"If there's a chance, im willing to take it. Nobodys gone forever."
