A Year Later

Today is the day, Ben and I fight. With our lightsabers of course. We never fight, i mean how could we? All the students went, we just thought it would nice to be last. We're actually excited about this, we wanted to do it, Luke said we were great with our lessons, this is our last stop, my last one. Ive put a lot of thought into this, ive told Master Luke, im going home. He didn't want me to leave, but he understood. I just dont know what to say to Ben.

"Hey Hera." Rex comes running to me. I turned around. "Im betting on you." I frowned.

"Youre betting on me?" I crossed my arms.

"Because I know that you'll kick ass out there." He was pulling words out of his ass. "Are you busy later?" He steps closer to me.

"I dont know Rex, its been quite a day."

"Not even a walk?" He smiles. Rex gets thrown across the the field, as he stood up, he started to look around who did it. I look to see Ben, who put down his hand.

"Ready?" Ben said as we walked to a piece of land together.

"Are you?" I smirked. Everyone was sitting on the ground.

"Alright, this is for me to see who is smarter, stronger with their abilities. The person who surrenders, loses. You can use your force and lightsabers. Don't kill each other please."

"That wont be a problem." I winked at Ben. He just chuckled.

"Whenever you're ready." Luke steps out and went with the others. Ben and I bowed down and took our stances. The lights from our sabers came out. Orange and blue. We both nodded. We ran to each other. Our lightsabers collided. Ben hovered over me, i was bending backwards. I pushed him off and hit our lightsabers left, right, middle, right and left. The sounds of them hitting each other were all you can hear. The blue and orange sparks were flying everywhere.

"Going easy on me Ben?" I laughed as we walked in circles.

"I thought you needed it." He smirked. I was now hovering over Ben. He pushed me away. I flew across the ground i landed on my stomach.

"Are you sure about this Master Luke? They might kill each other." May told Luke.

"No worries, they would never hurt each other." I stood up quickly as Ben ran to me. I hit his saber over and over again. I pushed him off of me. I spin as
Ben tried to hit me over and over. I used my force to push him away. He did a flip but came running back. But he pushed me back. I hit the ground.

"Ah." I winced. I grabbed my lightsaber, which wasn't by me. I saw it by where i was at before. Ben came in fast. I used the force to get my lightsaber before anything happens. Just as Ben came, the lightsaber was in my hands and I quickly turned it on. I got up, me and Ben were eye to eye. We grunted as he tried to push me off. I tried to switch my hands but my hand slips and Ben accidentally hit me. "AH!" I screamed in pain.

Bens POV

My lightsaber went across her chest. I quickly turned off my lightsaber. What have I done. I put too much pressure. Everyone in the class gasps.

"Hera!" I yelled as I tried to wake her up. "Hera!" I looked up to see everybody running. "Uncle Luke!" I screamed. I touched her cheeks. "Come on Hera!"

"Hera!" Jules starts running towards us.

"I got her!" said Rex, picking her up and ran back to the Temple. I stood there, tears falling. What have I done. I didn't mean it. I saw my Uncle, i walked up to him

"It was an accident." We walked away. I stayed in my room, i haven't heard anything about Hera all day. Rex comes in and tells me that shes awake. I ran out of my room, ignoring my uncle as I ran to medical wing. I looked for her, room by room. There she was. I opened the door.

"Hera!" I ran to her, giving her a hug. She winced and i backed up.

"Its okay Ben." She gave me a small smile.

"I didn't mean it." She grabbed my hand.

"I know. Its was my fault. I slipped." I looked at the bandage on her chest. "You didnt do any damage. The nurse said that its just a burn, since i was wearing protective stuff, itll heal."

"I wouldn't know what to do if I had hurt you."

"Hey, at least you won." She giggles. "Plus i might get a killer scar." The door bursts open. It was my Uncle Luke.

"What happened?" He said as he came in.

"Its fine. It wasn't his fault. It was all me. Im fine. It was just a burn, nothing too extreme." She smiled back. Her smile makes me melt.

Hera's POV

I spent the whole day in the medical wing. Took a break of training for a week. Ben has visited me more than the nurses did. Ive gotten better, my chest doesn't hurt as much as it did a week ago. Sad part was i was leaving tonight.

"Todays is the day that I'm going to tell Ben, i love him." I told Jules, who i also havent told about leaving.

"About time, i swear." She laughs. "You guys are just too cute." She fixes my hair, putting it up in a high ponytail, fixing the strands of my hair. I had to tell Jules that i was leaving too. This is going to harder that I thought. "Does Master Luke know?"

"I think he does. He keeps saying that the force brought us together." I looked at her. "Whenever im with Ben, i feel like the force knows."

"The force is never wrong." I heard a knock.

"Its Ben!"

"Good luck!" She smiles.

"Hey come on." Ben said as we snuck out of our rooms and to the garden. We held hands as we ran. We laughed as we got away from the others. We hid in rose bushes so they wont see us.

"Hey uh Ben?" He hummed. Here I go. This the moment where i tell him how i feel. The kiss, the hand holding, the smiles, they way he looks at me. i love that. And i love Ben more. "I love you. I feel so good whenever im with you. Who cares we break the rules, we can show everyone its not bad! Ben Solo, Im always going to love you." I teared up. The first boy i ever liked.

"I cant." He said. I frowned. I cant?

"What do you mean?" I shook my head.

"I mean we can still be friends." I stood back. Friends? My heart broke. "It's whatever." He had This change, like a switch had been flipped. This isnt him. He seemed dark.

"Friends? We cant be friends." Bens face softens. "You broke my heart Ben." I started to cry. "I told you I love you and its whatever?"

"I-i- cant tell you." I pushed him aside with the force and ran to my hut, at this point, i didnt even want to tell him about me leaving.

Ben's POV

I ran back to my hut. I called my parents through projection. My parents asking me what was wrong.

"Ben, talk to us." My mom said.

"Hera told me she loved me." They we're confused. "I couldnt say the words. I love her." My mom looked at my dad.

"Honey, theres still time."

"Kid, im sorry."

"I really love her and I blew it because Sn-." I stopped myself. I couldn't tell them why. I walked pasted them. I stayed in my room, crying. Why did this happen to me? Why now? When everything was getting better, when I saw Hera, there was no voices, no dreams. Now this time? Why?

Hera's POV

"Hey, i can hear you sniffling, what happened?" Jules said as she came in my room.

"I have to leave, my brothers here." I said as I packed my bag. Jules ran to my bag and grabbed it.

"You cant leave? Why?" I can see the fear, sadness in her eyes. I sat down on my bed.

"He doesnt love me." I said softly. Even though it had nothing to do with Ben.

"And thats why youre leaving? A boy?" Jules sets my bag down.

"I dont belong here Jules, i belong in sky. Me being Jedi, its never going to happen. I just came here to control it, i was never meant to fall in love with Ben."

"Or being friends with me?" I shook my head as I saw her tears falling.

"No, Jules, you're my best friend. Meeting you has been an honor." I sighed. I looked at the small window i had in my hut. "I cant stay here."

"Then promise me something." I nodded. "Be the greatest pilot in the galaxy. Captain, commander, General, be better." I hugged her. "Make Ben regret breaking your heart."

Next Morning
Bens POV

I woke up. I didnt even changed clothes, i ran to Heras room. I called out to her. There was no answer.

"Hera, its me. Ben. Listen, im really am sorry. I shouldn't have said those words. The words I should've said were I love you too. Im always going to love you too." No answer. I placed my head on the door. "Hera, i know you're mad, please forgive me." I placed my hand on the door. It was unlocked. So I knocked on the door again. "Hera?" I opened the door and saw everything was gone. I ran out of there, to look for my uncle.

"Ben! What is it? Are you okay?" Said Rex.

"Someone got Hera! All her stuff is gone." His face softens. "What?"

"Hera left last night to go back home, her brother picked her up. She decided it was for the best." I backed up. Why? Was it because of me. I shook my head.

"We have to get her back!"

"Ben, shes home now. We cant do anything." I tried so hard not to cry. I cant believe shes gone. Hera, im so sorry.

Hera's POV

"Welcome back!" My dad greeted me from the living room. I put on a fake smile. I went to my room and sat down on my vanity, playing around with the necklace Ben had gave me. Poe walked in my room. He leaned against the frame, looking at me with the necklace.

"You didn't seem so happy when I picked you." Poe sat down on my bed.

"Just miss the place." I patted his back as I sat down with him.

"How was training? Are you a Jedi yet? Did you bring your lightsaber?" I didn't answer any of his questions. "Okay Hera, im sensing that something didnt go as planned?"

"Nothing." I lied.

"Dont lie to me. I can see it all over your face." No matter what i do to hide my feelings, Poe knows, he always knows. He wont stop bothering me until I tell him. "The necklace? Is that the reason?"

"I like this boy, Ben Solo."

"Han Solos kid." I nodded.

"He didn't feel the same way. But its not him." I touched the stone. "I just thought to myself, why should I stay if I'm just going to be a pilot, not a jedi. I just told Master Luke that i wanted to go home and well, im here."

"I can beat him up if you want me to." I laughed.

"Its okay Poe. I guess i missed the signs." I pulled out my lightsaber.

"This is so cool!" I turned it on and showed him. He was amazed. I then turned it off. I put the saber under my bed, so i wont be reminded by anything. "Is it for the best?"

"Yeah, just for a while."
