The Last Jedi

We found a spot for us to set base. I sat with Leia, no words were exchanged but we just held hands. Chewie howls and said we can set up base here. The doors opened and we founds a bunch of trees and flowers. It was beautiful.

"Wow." Poe comes and stands next to me. "What a view."

"Beautiful isn't?"

"Definitely." He turns his head. "Lets get settled." We all spent so much time and effort to get the way we used to be. Starting something so small, but yet so much potential. We lost so many good people. We set up the control area, since we need it more. It took  us months to rebuild. We been taking it slow now, keeping us on the low. I woke up from my nap, and walked out of my room. Everyone was doing their jobs. Connix told me that Rey was needed. So I made my way to a place she never leaves.

"Hey." I said as I walked in the little room Rey had made for herself.

"I see you're finally awake." She places her books on the table. I chuckled to myself.

"Ive been tired, nothing new." She hums. I looked at the books she had placed down. Some were master Skywalker's books. I picked it up. "The jedi texts."

"You know them?"

"When I joined and became a jedi, Master Skywalker gave me these to study. So many stories." I flipped through the pages. "First day he gave me a stack of books, i read them all." I stopped at one page. Force healing. I closed the book and placed it down. "I still remember half of what it had, the other half, is just a blur. This is what I get for not becoming a full jedi."

"Then come train with me! Leia can help. You and I!" Rey holds my hands.

"I dont know Rey, my days are kinda over." I shrugged.

"You said kinda. I can see so much-"

"Hope?" I finished for her. She nods. Should I? "If I say yes-"

"I would be happy! Imagine Hera, you and I." I laughed at her.

"Alright! Alright!" We both smiled. "Come on, You're needed." We walked out of her hideout. I saw Poe fixing his jet while BB8 rolled out to me. Connix and Leia came up to us.

"Leia, Hera said she would like to train with us." Rey blurted out.

"Really now?" Leia smiles at me.

"I think i need the help." She nods. Leia had sense something, I didn't catch it. For the past few months, Leia has been acting strange. She would say its nothing. But I know its not nothing.

"Tomorrow you can start." I nodded.

"Good luck." Rey places her hand on my side as she excuses herself. She stops walking and turns to look at me. I gave her a confused look. "What?"

"N-Nothing." She grips her lightsaber and walks away. I excused myself and made my way to my brother.

"Need any help?" I asked as I climb the ladder, sitting down.

"Nope, i just finished." He pats the jet. "Good as new. Wanna get something to eat?"

"Please! Im starving!" I stood up. Poe and I jumped off the jet and went to eat. We sat down and Finn joined us. "Hey Finn."

"Hey Hera." He waves. "So I heard that you're back in the game."

"Game? What game?" Poe asks.

"Its just some training. Nothing to spectacular." I went on as I ate.

"Jedi training?" Poe said. I nodded. "Are sure? I mean didn't you finish that years ago?"

"Not all of it. Theres some other training i didn't get to do. Rey thought of it." I said as I drank my water.

"Good for you Hera." Finn cheered. Poe nodded in agreement. "Any new missions?" He turned to Poe.

"From what I heard, not yet." We've been radio dead, theres no missions at all, its getting boring out here.

"But its nice. We can relax, get ourselves ready." I told them. "When was the last time we actually had a nice day like this? A day where we didn't have to worry about the first order on out asses?" They actually had to think. "Exactly."

"Shes right." Finn pointed out.

"Im always right." I gathered my trash, patted Finns back, kissed Poe head and left. I went to my tiny room with BB8. I felt the force trying to connect me with Kylo. I don't even want to see him. During these months, Ive been trying to drop him, have no feelings towards him. Because that would lead to jealousy, then hate, and then boom, dark side. Im not about that life, but i just cant let him go. No matter how much i tired, he seems to come back. Like a good friend once said, the force is never wrong.

Reys POV

As I was finished training, I walked back to base with Leia.

"Say, Leia, why does Hera have so much hope for Kylo?" She stops walking. "All the things he did, she still cares."

"She still has hope, hope that her love of her life will be back." She sighs. "Back then, he told me to bring a blue goldstone necklace for her. He was just trying to win her heart. He didn't care that Hera and him would break the code if they were together. She made him feel like himself, which he hadn't for a long time. Their bond is stronger than no other, i felt it, so did Luke. Han tried to give him the Solo tips, but she fallen for my boy." She sits down on a tree stump, smiling. "Its like my mother and father all over again." She was talking about Padmé and Anakin. "Ben knows what he's doing. Everything is for Hera. But now that Hera has let him go, we don't know whats going happen now."

"But you do." I told her. "You felt it." Leia nods.

"She's going to bring Ben Solo back."

"She said that she's done with him, how is that going to work?" I caught myself. Hera is a very sweet, honest, and forgiving person I know. If she still has love for him, thats how he comes back.

Poe's POV

Its been a strange couple of months. Hera hasn't gone on missions with Finn, Chewie, and I, she took a break from training due to becoming sick. Im getting worried.

"Came to check in." I said as I walked in Heras room.

"Im fine Poe. Stop worrying." She smiles. She sure did have our mother's smile.

"We're going on a mission in a few days, i just wanted to ask if you want to come." I sat on the corner of her bed.

"I wish i could, but I'm still haven't been feeling good."

"You gotta see Rex, check it out. Its been what? Months since you haven't gotten better?"

"It's probably that sandwich you made me." She laughs. Laugh it up.

"I can make a killer sandwich." She stands up, we walked out of her room.

"Killer is right." She played around. We took our different ways. Days pasted, nothing new, i was getting ready to leave for the mission. I saw Hera and another man walking up to Rex, whispering words. The three of them walked away. Nothing really came to me, so I went back to packing. I made my way to Leia, telling her that we're ready to go. Rey, Finn and Hera were talking, while Hera was eating, they all were shushing each other.

"Whats going on here?" I asked as I walked up to them. They all stopped talking. "What?"

"I need to get ready for the mission." Finn said as he walks away.

"I have to practice my training." Rey walks away as well, leaving me and Hera.

"Yes?" Hera said as she looked up at me.

"Whats going on?"

"Nothing, just a friendly conversation. No need to worry about." She hums.

"Are you hiding anything?" She looks at me again. "You've been different lately." She continues to eat. "What happened to telling each other everything?"

"Im not hiding anything Poe." Her voice got higher. Which means shes lying. Shes never been good at lying. "I've been different, so what? Is it good?"

"Okay." I looked at her. "I just want to let you know, whatever you're hiding, I will not get mad, I'm here for you." I told her. She just smiles as she ate.

"Good luck on your trip brother." She gets up.

"So you are hiding something." I looked at her.

"Maybe, maybe not." She shrugs. "Maybe Ill tell you when you come back from the mission." She walks away. Im definitely telling Finn and Rey what the hell shes hiding. "Oh wait." She turns back. "I told Finn and Rey to not tell you. So dont try it." Of course she did. I walked out, i saw Rex.

"Rex!" He looks up. I gave him a smile. "So, buddy, i need a favor." I put my arm around him.

"What type of favor?"

"Whats up with Hera?" His eyes widen.

"I-i cant tell you that." He started to stutter.

"Yes you can! Hera told me to tell you that you can tell me. She wanted me to hear it from you."

"I don't want to say it Poe. Its kinda private. Hera should be the one to tell you." Private? Hmm.

"Poe Dameron!" I jumped. Oh no. "Don't say anything Rex." Hera came charging in. "Seriously?!"

"I just want to know."

"When you come back." She playfully rolls her eyes. She shoves me into the ship. "You, dont say a word, no matter what he says." she pointed at Finn.

"Sure."

"Bye?" I waved at her. She kiss my cheek.

"See you later loser." She chuckled as the door closes. She's up to something i know it. But why cant she tell me! I want to know!
