Interview #2

Dr Charles sat in the room, her clipboard in hand. She was sat at the opposite end of the table to where her patient was yet to sit.

The door opened, two guards letting a scrawny figure in. The boy sat down placing his cuffed hands on the table. "Good morning Mr Rogers." The doctor greeted.

"Please don't call me that." Toby responded, "It brings back memories I'm not too keen on."

"Of course, I'm sorry Tobias." Samantha replied, nodding slightly. "So, today we're going to talk about your childhood, if that's alright, as last time we discussed how you are feeling in your new surroundings."

Toby nodded, "I don't actually remember that much of it." he said, "I get the odd glimpse."

Samantha frowned, writing down 'Toby has some form of amnesia or wasn't comfortable with talking about his past yet' "Alright." she nodded, "How's about we talk about your boss?"

"I've already told you-"

"Is he some kind of gang leader? Hitman hire service?"

"I can't tell you!"

"Is he a drug dealer? Toby you can tell me you're safe here."

"Just because I'm safe doesn't mean you are!" He exclaimed, staring the doctor in the eyes, "You think I'm joking? Do you?" he asked

"No Toby, I take all of this seriously, I'm here to help-"

"THEN LISTEN TO ME!" he said, in an exasperated voice. "Whatever I say about that thing is not only putting me and you in danger, it puts us all in danger. You specialize in making people better, so they can go and live normal lives, well, helping me will kill everyone here." Toby sighed, looking at the floor, "I'm happy to answer any of your other questions, just not that one."

The doctor nodded, "Alright, I heard that you've been socializing with Veronica."

Toby gave the doctor a confused look, his eyebrows knitting together. "I don't know a Veronica." He muttered.

"Ah, she probably introduced herself as Jaiden, then." she said with a smile.

"Oh, yeah."

"So, how did that go?"

"She told me the basics of the place. Stuff like that."

Samantha smiled at that, "That's good to hear that you've made a friend."

Toby sighed, "I wouldn't really say she was a friend, more of a guide or sidekick."

The doctor frowned, "What makes you say that, Toby?"

"Well, friends have known each other for a long time; I met her yesterday." Toby explained, bluntly.

"Well it could the beginning of a friendship." The doctor smiled.

The recording of the interview on the monitor started to glitch, frozen on that frame, up to the point to it being white noise and a black screen...
