- Chapter 2 :

"AAH NEENEN CHEESANU IDHI NAAMEEDHA RAADAANIKI?" (aaaah what ddi i do for this thing to come after me?) A shout of a man rang out, more curses in Orpo ringing out. You finally realized that you were in fact in the real world and died on the inside when the Smrtna Zvijer stared at you, it's beady sets of eyes seeming to lock in on your figure.

You, based on instinct made a run for it, muttering a few curses in Orpo before looking over your shoulder. You know you couldn't keep running straight since the beast would easily kill you. If you ran in zig zags or something, the other heads would finish you. Even if you managed to get out of the planet, the beast could easily fly to you with its massive wings. You couldn't go out there, it'd be the same as killing the people of slums. While you hated many of the for example the man who chased you, people like the small girl also lived there, innocent people.

You prayed to the god above to help you and took a detour, heading to the building behind the palace, the safe house which was made in case of an emergency. If this didn't count, nothing did. You felt the ground shake as the death beast stomped on the castle a little more, chasing after one person, you. Sweat beads rained down your forehead as you clenched your fists, why was it determined to come after you? Those beasts were known to be stupid, only attacking randomly and fiercely, they didn't have actual brains.

You praised yourself for reading all those books about legends and creatures even when the people around you made fun and laughed at you, it had helped you out. 

"Kaapaadandi! Rakshinchandi!" (protect me! save me!) Your head turned to a small boy sitting under a wagon, reaching his hand to you. He wanted you to save him. Panic swelled in your chest and you kept running, faster. The beast was after you, if you went to the boy, he'd be a target too. You didn't want to cause any deaths even though it all seemed to be related to you.

You never thought you'd be able to run this fast, your life flashing before you as a strong gust of air past right by you, sending a house flying. It might have missed it's target this time, but you knew you wouldn't be so lucky the next time. 

The safe house was close now, a few feet away at the most. The guards stationed in front of it were long dead, frozen in ice cubes. You tried not to look and pushed the door open with all your remaining strength. The beast hadn't turned around the corner, meaning it hadn't seen you, yet. You had time to come up with a plan still. 

You jogged through the stair cases that led to a elongated basement, too lazy and tired to run. You were close to fainting, wondering how you already have not died or fallen in fatigue. As you stopped, you came upon a small door, craned to hide against the wall, camouflaging. You knew you didn't have much time left until the beast found you or ripped the building apart to do so. 

You pushed the door and ran in, flinging around before electricity coursed through the pipes above, providing you light to see. Your eyes froze as you spotted the contraption waiting in the middle of the room. The walls of the room were stark white, a look that was hypnotizing. Tubes and pipes filtered in the room, all attached to a small ball like contraption in the middle. It was a long oval almost, a few feet and a few heads tall. You took slow steps towards it, entranced by how pretty a machine was.

Boom.

Your heart froze for a second as you recognized the massive sound. It was the Smrtna Zvijer, trying to break down the safe house walls. You were amazed as well, since the building hadn't broke to one hit from the monster. The safe house was obviously well protected and safe indeed. However a second thump reminded you that the beast would do whatever it took to get in. 

You ran to the contraption and slid your hand over it, admiring the smooth texture. That's when the thought formed in your mind, this was a space craft. You put the puzzle in mind together and gasped, this was your way out. In a blind rage, you ran to the large computer and tapped it rapidly, hearing the crunch of metal outside and the roar of the blood thirsty beast.

The computer made a sound as the space craft emitted a responding sound, the hatch clicking open. You ran back to the machine, hoping into the front main seat. The hatch closed die to the lack of passengers and you took a second to notice the details of the ship.

It held ten seats, all comfy and furnished. The back held another room which you didn't have time to explore. The front had a large glass which was above a panel of buttons, all labeled in Canclo, the language all planets in the galaxy spoke. You returned to the buttons when the panel lit up, different colors. A sickening crunch was heard above you and you sweated knowing the beast had entered the safe house. It wasn't long until it ripped open the ceiling and discovered the basement.

You prayed as you strapped your belt, pressing the button that said 'start'. Immediately, signs about take off started popping up on your screen and you were thankful the shape ship was created for people who didn't know how to work it, probably for the royals, who were now dead or wounded. 

Just as the craft signaled ready for take off, the roof above the craft was ripped off. You screamed as the craft dropped from its position.

When you'd stopped screaming due to the lack of shaking and dying, you opened your eyes and dropped your jaw. The craft was now smoothly running on an underground track, the blue lights on a rail track in front of you leading its way. That's when it made sense, before the monster could kill you, the craft dropped below ground onto this track. You thanked the lord and settled back into your seat, wondering how long the ride would be and where you were being driven to.

As your breath calmed, you were able to finally think everything over. You'd just left your planet to die with the monster, and while you knew one beast couldn't kill the whole planet Orpheus, you were sure that wasn't the only thing Mogaria sent. That led to another question, why was Mogaria now claiming war on you, why did the beast only attack you after seeing you, and did you do the right thing?

Was it right to run away when your home planet was being attacked? You know you weren't panicking as much as needed but blamed it on yourself, knowing that once you absorbed the situation more, you'd be screwed and possibly piss yourself, and that was an understatement.

You were broken from your cage of thoughts when the screen blinked and showed a few words. It was asking for the destination. You knew this meant that the trail was ending that you'd be leaving the planet. This was your last chance. You could make the machine go back and help against the invading force or you could run away like a coward and get better forces, hoping that everyone was still alive.

You squeezed your eyes shut when the ground above you began shaking. You felt sweat rain down your forehead again as you realized, the beast was back. It'd found you. Another tremor shook the ground as you fell forward, hands falling on the screen. The screen made a click and closed the screen as the craft began shaking violently, powering up.

You finally realized that you'd pressed a destination and where being hauled away from the planet, the choice already being made for you. The craft began to levitate as you curled into a ball on the seat and watched from the transparent screen as a hole above you cleared. The space craft shot up, stopping midair for you to watch a glimpse at your sector, Andromeda.

The place was ruined, airships with Mogaria labels printed on them. Flames were everywhere and building were in heaps. More monsters and different creatures littered the land like pests and you felt tears fall as you realized that the capital country of Orpheus had been taken over. As you pressed your palm to the glass, promising your land you'd come back to save it, the space craft paused in the air.

The next second, it shot up as a calm and gentle female voice rang through the craft.

"Destination set, please have a merry trip to planet Eridani."
