"Sweetheart, you know you have to get out of bed at some point in your life, right?"
The young girl groaned, her scrunched up eyes painfully opened. The blinding lights around her made her feel dizzy, and she had to fight tooth and nail to stop herself from closing her cerulean hues. She glared accusingly at the perpetrator and growled.
"Go away, evil demon..." She yawned and snuggled back down into her thick duvets again, "... I have better things to do than... converse with the likes of... you..."
The man sweatdropped at his unusually literate daughter and brought his hand to scratch the abundance of curly black hair on his head. He hesitatingly reached towards the sheets and gently grabbed them, readying himself to yank it off and run from the devil itself.
Was he ready to do this? probably not, but he had more problems to worry about at the moment. His wife just had to go on a business trip on their daughters first day of the nursery!
"D-Delyse, I'll have to force you out if you don't come out willingly... please don't make me do this!"
No reply. He quickly inhaled and looked downwards with panic-stricken eyes. Come on, he could do this! He was-
He pulled it off. There was a scream.
He ran.

"Look, young lady. I had to pull the covers off! You would've been late if I hadn't-"
"Hn."
Andy sighed and rubbed his temples. A small frown adorned his face. If he'd known having children would be this difficult, he probably would've considered wearing a condom. But how could he?! When his daughter wasn't trying to abandon all humanity left inside her ( 99% of the time ) she was the sweetest, most adorable thing he'd ever even seen!
"At least promise to tell the caretaker if something happens, I don't want you getting hurt."
Delyse humphed and pouted at her father, "No promises, but I'll try."
The man chuckled humorously and sat back, his eyes filled in content and hand touching the car stereo. He turned it on and looked back towards the road. Maybe he could try and convince her next time they had a heart to heart conversation to stop losing herself, then maybe this time she would listen. If only she knew how proud of her they already are, but he was too awkward to tell her that-
"Wake me up, before you go-go. Before you leave me hanging there like a yo-"
The music was abruptly turned off, and the man was left to stare helplessly at his daughter, face glowering like a thunderstorm: She was a scary girl, just like her mother.
"No more 80's music for you, buster."
Yeah, she's gone too far.

"Why do I have to go to school anyway? Do you want me to die?!" Delyse huffed and stared at Andy with accusing eyes, "Do you want me to get a boyfriend and leave you forever because I will!"
"Please don't do that! You're only seven, and your mum will pulverize me-"
"Yeah yeah, Mum will pulverize you. Blah blah blah, I'm leaving now."
He froze, and Delyse immediately regretted what she said. She wasn't saying sorry though, that just wasn't her style. She knew her mum would destroy him, and all she was doing was warning him in advance. She waved. "Seeya then, dad."
He smiled, albeit weakly. She was right, and he knew it. That was what scared him. "Yeah. Seeya."
How was he ever going to accept that living in a woman's' world was going to drive him insane...

"Hi, your names Delyse, right? My names Eijirou Kirishima, but you can call me Eijirou, o-only if you want to, of course."
"Begone, peasant."
The young boy pouted, his sharp teeth poked out of his bottom lip. He'd found the young girl incredibly intriguing, with her dark frizzy curls and apathetic blue eyes. Eijirou had immediately assumed she was new the moment she sat down in the corner of the playroom and started fiddling with a Rubix cube. She'd even ignored Mina's invite to play pattycake, and no-one refuses Mina! "Aww, but you look so cool! You literally l-look like... umm... that Rosa Parks lady! Yeah, h-her!" Oh god, he was never going up to anyone again! Why did Mina have to be soooo persuasive...
There was an awkward silence between the two, the black haired boy was grinning as if he'd just said the smartest thing in the world ( Despite the extreme internal panicking ). Delyse looked extremely taken aback.
The young brunette glared at Eijirou, her eyes blazing in pure fury. Her tiny fists scrunched up into tight fists and the boy slowly backed away. He smiled nervously.
"Did you just compare me to an old lady?!" she sighed, "You know what? nevermind. My mind can't deal with your stupidity."
She quickly stood up and waved the boy off before walking to go sit in the other corner of the room and resuming her puzzle games. She wasn't here to make friends, she was here so she could graduate quickly and make her family proud. She ignored the looks of helplessness sent her way by the raven and continued to solve the whole cube and moved on to a crossword. No friends. Only solitude.
Right.

"Quirkless bitch, you just had to go and ruin the whole reputation of the Keire family! You're a disappointment to them all," The boy sneered. His upper lip curled up in disgust at the young girl he had pushed down, he decided to place his foot on her head, revelling in the whimpers of pain she gave out. He pushed his foot down even further. Delyse yelped. The boy's minions laughed, though you could hear the nervous undertone in their voices.
"T-Tanaka, maybe you should stop now-"
"H-Hey! Don't hurt Dely- Keire like that! What has s-she ever done to y-you?!"
The young boy rushed up towards them and pushed the bully away before standing protectively in front of the girl. She spat out some blood on the floor, and weakly tried to push Eijirou away.
"Y-You don't need to protect me, I-I can p-protect myself!"
"You looked like you needed protecting to me! P-Plus, what kind of friend would I be if I let you be hurt like that?!"
Her eyes widened as she tugged on his sleeve, once more trying to get him out of harm's way. When were they ever friends? Because of this boy's stupid assumptions, he was going to get hurt, and it would all be her fault. No way could she deal with that weight on her shoulders.
Tanaka's narrow black eyes widened in anger. He raged furiously and spouted sleek black wings and his eyes turned a dark crimson. His baby hands morphed into a terrifying hybrid of knives and tiger claws.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT, YOU BASTARD!!" He swiped his claws at Eijirou, and he instinctively put his arms up in defence of himself. His quirk didn't activate in time and he found himself bleeding out of a relatively deep cut in his arm, making him cry out in pain. The red flower spread across the grey nursery carpet like a flower, and screams of terror came from around them.
That was all it took for her to snap.
She'd had enough! She'd tried to discard all humanity left inside her to reach her full potential as soon as possible, but she still felt sorry for the boy! She felt like this was her fault, and she knew that the scar was always there as a reminder. A reminder that she was a useless, pathetic quirkless girl. In a world full of powerhouses, those who were different were killed. Lambs in a slaughter. She knew that.
Yet she still put her life on the line to save the boy who had assumed he was her friend.
Delyse was definitely not a hero, but she was human. And human is sometimes all you need to be in a world like this.
"Never hurt my friend" she seethed, "Or you'll have hell to pay !"
There was a sudden extreme pressure inside the room, an ethereal sapphire blue light encased the young girl. Her eyes lit up like fairy lights and glowed with anger, and bright navy butterflies fluttered furiously around her figure. An intensely powerful aura surrounded Delyse and terrified yet rapturous eyes stared at her from the ground. The brunettes small arms rose from her side, and she clicked her fingers. There was a scream of fear and trepidation coming from the gang as they felt themselves slowly being crushed by an agonizingly huge pressure. They were going to pay for everything--
"D-Delyse, snap out of this! Control t-the power!"
The scream was muffled, practically drowned out by the buzzing noise in her head, but she heard it perfectly fine. Delyse regained her consciousness, and she let go of it all. She had no need to hold on anymore, she'd done what she needed to do. All that remained were the butterflies flying around her figure, one of them nestled comfortably into her frizzy hair. They glowed dangerously, almost as if to tell any close by predators that she was poisonous.
She was too human to kill. Not yet, not ever...
The pressure in the room faded almost immediately, and people soon found themselves staggering to their feet again. Wide, unbelieving eyes trained on the small unmoving figure in front of them. The quirkless girl was helpless no more, and she said that loud and clear for them all. She was powerful and was not afraid of hurting them if necessary.
"D-Delyse? A-Are you okay?!"
The aforementioned turned around to face the boy and hesitatingly smiled. The boy grinned back before hobbling towards her, a huge grin plastered on his face despite the large wound on his arm.
"That was AWESOME! You looked super cool, and you have such a powerful quirk, whatever it is! You'd be such a great hero!"
Delyse smiled awkwardly for the first time in two weeks ( the last being when her neighbour, Hizashi, had tripped over a pebble and was crying babyishly on the floor. Her dad told her it was rude to do so, but her mum told her she was learning the ways well and to continue, so she did what her mum said ) and scratched behind her head. "Thanks, Kirishi- I mean, Eijirou. If it wasn't for you then I probably wouldn't have even developed my quirk."
He grinned and tugged on her arm excitedly. "Hey, does that mean we're friends now?! You said we would be!" He winced slightly and tried to ignore the blood still dripping from his arm. "C-Can I be your partner on the next school trip we have? Can I sit next to you in class? Can you-"
"Hey hey, kiddo. Calm your shizzlesticks down, we need to go get your arm patched up before you bleed out on the floor." He nodded vigorously and jumped around everywhere, making his arm bleed out, even more, much to Delyse's chagrin.
"Stop jumping around everywhere, Sharkie!"
"Only if you become my friend!"
Delyse frowned slightly before shaking off the weird feeling in her chest. Was this what friendship felt like? if so, then maybe she can make one friend. And from what she can tell, Eijirou wanted to be a hero, so she'll do it too. Friends stick together, and Delyse still had a long way to go before she could say she was worthy of being his partner in crime.
They say heroes are made, not born. So maybe she'll give it a go.
She grinned. "Sure, why not? I'll go first, my name is Delyse Keire. Can we be friends? "

"Delyse, did you enjoy school today?"
"Well, I nearly killed some of my classmates and made a new friend out of it. So yeah, I'd say I enjoyed it."

3. Family?
I'm an only child! I've named Delyse's dad after my own in memory of him ( despite the different personalities ) and my mum is Thai. She doesn't know what her name is. It's either Gaewsai or Aranya, but she uses Aranya the most.
