born to meredith and sebastian hoult, cardan came to be the oldest of two; aside from him, his parents only ever had one other child, a daughter they lovingly named isabella. cardan was 12 when his sister was born, and he's been entirely obsessed with her since their initial meeting in that hospital room. their childhood was a relatively good one, despite the complications of their mother's sickness. throughout the years, cardan had always been very protective over his baby sister, and that only increased as the two of them aged.
