[WATERFALL]

0

A small girl gazed into the water her father and mother sitting close beside the young [h/c] haired girl. They were giggling and talking until the girl spoke up directing her eyes at her father, "Daddy" she squeaked getting her fathers attention,

"Yes, [Name]?" he smiled. [Name] looked down her expression saddening as she clasped and unclasped her hands.

"When could I get a quirk," the girl paused trying not to look at her parents "I- I mean I just wanna fit in, all the other kids already have theirs."

"[Name] darling, you're going to get your quirk very soon and it's going to be so strong!" her mother cooed, gently rubbing her daughter's arm before attacking her daughter and tickling. Her father gave a happy sigh.

"This was fun but we need to go home soon but if you persuade me you could play at the nearby park while I and your mother get some ice-cream?" he questioned and after seeing his daughter's eye light up he gave a gentle smile and motioned to his wife "Then it's settled! Remember [Name] if anything happens to you, run or if you can't scream for help and we'll come running ok?" [Name] vigorously nodded her [h/l] hair bouncing along with her before running towards the secluded park. The rest of the day was spent in bliss laughing and playing in the cool breeze though a small seed of sadness was planted into the girl's mind.

[Name] was bouncing up in down in joy, her mother beaming with pride while her father looked slightly disappointed. "I told you she would be a late bloomer Kaito, and to get my quirk! You must feel bad that mine overpowered your's" her mother joked.

"Yes, but she did injure a few children in the process Rio. Do you want our daughter's first use of her quirk to be that violent, how could she be a hero if people found out?" he sighed, looking at [Name]'s mother who looked completely annoyed by his reply.

"[Name] is only a child, of course, it might do some damage with an untamed quirk so whether or not it comes out it's not her fault! [Name] also said it was in defence so what point is it for us bickering if she was only protecting herself" she hissed. [Name] shied away from her parents arguing even if she still couldn't understand why they were fighting she didn't like to see anyone fight. [Name] stepped back stumbling to the floor and skinning her knee, [Name] let out an ear-piercing cry causing her parents to quickly rush to calm her. Her mother soothed her and covered her mother in case of activation of her quirk. Her father merely gave comforting words from a foot away. Once [Name] was no longer choking out sobs her father merely asked for her to go to her room so that they would be able to leave on a personal trip.

[Name]'s petite hands were latched to the window, her eyes glued to the passing scenery. From the other side of the car her mother reprimanded her but [Name] was too concerned with how different this place was from her own estate. The car slowed to a stop as a traditional Japanese house came into view. The chauffeur opened the door as her father walked to [Name] and released her from the high seat she was confined to, [Name] shakily walked towards the house with muddled thoughts flooding through her head. [Name] gazed at the door as a small whited and red haired boy stepped out and a rather large man followed, her father began dragging her towards them. [Name] was startled by them and tried to hide behind her father who clearly was annoyed by this. [Name]'s father picked her up and shoved her towards the boy as he approached who [Name] assumed was the boy's father. [Name] stared at the boy, he was calm and almost amused at her hesitance to approach him. "My apologies Enji [Name] has had a difficult... day, but while our children introduce themselves would you like to continue working on the proposal?" Enji nodded and gave a gruff

"Of course, come inside" The man pulled the boy away doing if he were not whispering what appeared to be screaming at the unaffected boy. The boy once again looked at me with a distant stare before grabbing [Name]'s hand and maneuvring her through the large house before finding themselves within his yard. The boy sat down on the edge of the lifted porch and [Name] down with him nearly causing her to fall. [Name] whimpered as she settled herself next to her and began staring at her intently but was completely mute. [Name] cast her gaze away, should I introduce myself- but what if he thinks I'm weird or my name is odd or- her thoughts were cut off as the boy introduced himself.

"My name's... Shouto" he stated looking down trying to hide his nervousness that [Name] shared. Name slightly sifted away from him before whispering

"I- I'm [N- Name]" she stuttered. Shouto looked at her eyes shimmering with hope though his expression was kept placid. [Name] gave a hesitant smile while swinging her legs, "D- Do you know why I'm here?" she questioned. Shouto gave a shake if his head but suggested a possible answer

"Maybe it's to train our quirks?" [Name]'s mouth formed an 'o' feeling stupid about her question.

"So what's your quirk Shouto?"

"Half hot half cold" [Name] tilted her head in slight confusion and in noticing this he began to explain himself better "I- I can control ice and fire, it hurts if I use it too much" [Name] beamed, excited to see the boys quirk. "So what's your quirk [Name]?" She looked down hesitant to answer.

"Well- I don't know what to call it, mommy calls it song but my friends and daddy called it screech." [Name] began to think back to the events of earlier that day.

"Ha! Look at [Name]" a girl squealed, pointing at the crying [Name] who was holding her leg from pain. A group began to gather around [Name] giggling and gawking at the crying girl,

"Look at the quirkless crybaby! Waaa Waaa" one mocked. [Name] tried to stand up and get away from the group of children but was pushed down again.

"Just because your rich doesn't mean you're special, mommy says you deserve to be quirkless!" another stated in a matter of fact tone.

"B- b- but t- tha-"  [Name] tried to choke out before the taunting continued, tears were pouring out of the small girl's eyes.

"B- b- but nothing! A quirkless nobody rich or not deserves to be treated like trash!" the first girl hissed. [Name]'s crying intensified and stood up sniffling carefully avoiding the arms trying to push her down and wiped away a few tears ineffectively.

"Please l-leave me alone" she shouted the group in front of her was sent flying soon after with thuds and groans coming from them. [Name] was confused but glad and began running towards her parents.

"I only got it today so I don't know much about it except that when I yell people get sent flying." She smiled before mumbling "And it makes my throat hurt" she heard a soft giggle come from the boy next to her.

"That's a cool quirk!" He smiled.

"You think so!"

"Yeah!" the two children smiled at each other before getting up and chasing eachother around the yard causing an extreme annoyance to anyone they passed.
