[ENTRANCE EXAM]
[Name] woke up in a cold sweat, holding onto her face. With a heavy sigh, she released herself to calm down, those dreams or nightmares as she saw most of them as. [Name] had never gotten used to the replaying of her childhood that happened every night, even if her demeanour and persona changed during her chaotic time on the streets and as a vigilante, at heart, she was still an emotional wreck who would rather have someone laughing with her at her stupidity while trying to help. [Name] rubbed her temples before giving out a groan, last night was already taking a toll on her and it was only meant to be her basic once over of the city before backing off to chill out, but someone had to show up and ruin an easy night. "And of course it had to be the one who normally goes after vigilantes" she hissed to herself. [Name] slowly stretched, her aching muscles telling her not to leave, begging her to stay in her somewhat comfortable bed. Ignoring the pain she shuffled out of bed bleary-eyed and was careful enough to boil some water and skillfully made herself tea/coffee to give herself a very much needed caffeine boost so she wouldn't randomly collapse onto the floor from exhaustion. [Name] gave a half-hearted laugh as she left the highly concentrated caffeine boost she concocted on the kitchen island and left to get changed.
[Name] stared up at the towering UA buildings in silent awe, even if she didn't want to do her work legally she would be impressed by the place, hell even if she didn't get in she would just want to see the view from the top. With a heavy breath, she began looking at the others around her, in particular, a fluffy green-haired boy who just tripped and a brunette making him float. Ok so I at least know one person's quirk, her seems pretty decent but how she uses it will be the deciding factor. Without giving a second glance she walked away to the exam.
Once [Name] was seated she felt a sense of dread wash over her. How many people were there, there's no chance that I could figure out how to do this without at least using some help, whether they were willing or not is another thing. I guess this is what happens when you drop out of school, you exactly ever grasp how many people there could be attempting to do something like this. Her sanity gave her a break as Present mic began announcing the basic of what they had to do. This'll be simple, destroy the robots, get a point. All I need to do is use water to short circuit them. Oh, how I regret choosing to only list one quirk, but with pro's breathing down your neck what can you do. As it turned out, [Name] had zoned out on anything else that was mentioned by Present Mic past that point and anything before the information she needed, so when everyone began walking off into their own areas [Name] bumped into someone she was looking at before. Similarly to the way the boy from before, [Name] found herself readying herself for the blow of the floor but never felt it. [Name] stared up at her brunette saviour in thankful glee. "Thank you!" [Name] smiled as she was set down. "I saw you use your quirk earlier today, sorry for making you use it again." [Name] slightly lowered her head in embarrassment.
"Oh no, it's fine! I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt or there to be a bad omen if I hadn't helped!"
"Well take the thank you anyways! The name's [Name], [Name] [L/N] by the way nice to meet you!" Go me! Already using the fake last name right off the bat! She silently cheered
"Nice to meet you! I'm Ochako Uraraka, I think we should go to our battle centres though!"
"Yeah, we probably should- Good luck Uraraka~san!" [Name] waved goodbye before rushing off to her own battle centre with her nerves quickly returning.
[Name] was stretching, silently yelling at herself for the various things she shouldn't have down the night before. [Name] herself was kinda glad that everyone had been separated into smaller groups, it would allow everyone a larger chance of getting noticed even if it was still slim. [Name] began rolling her shoulders as she waited for the cue. As soon as Mic shouted "Start!" she bolted leaving most behind her. [Name] quickly scanned the 'city' for any robots, which soon became easy enough as they flooded through trying to attack her and the other examinees. She held out her arms allowing water to accumulate around her arms before she launched it at three two-pointers and two three-pointers almost instantly short-circuiting the robots. She already felt her quirks drawback hitting her like a truck already, [Name] took a heavy and shaken breathe before once again maneuvering through the 'city'.
[Name] came across another batch of robots a she felt time becoming slim, she had stopped using her quirk at this point due to severe drawbacks that could possibly be caused. [Name] scanned her surroundings and grabbed an iron bar that had been exposed from the ground and launched it at the robot, skewering it against a nearby building. As [Name] began to look for more throwable objects, she spotted another examinee trapped underneath a large concrete slab that a 3-pointer had slammed onto them but there was also the robots in front of her which could easily gain her more points- You know what, fuck it why be a hero if you don't save a few people! And with that, she charged toward the boy who was trapped and against better judgement, as quietly as she could [Name] screeched at the concrete effectively shattering it and helped the boy up. "Thanks, dudette!" he gave [Name] a wonky smile after getting her attention.
"No- problem!" she huffed regret washing over her, before pulling herself up and putting on a mask of stability. "Let's make- things quick, name's [Name] [L/N], nice to meet you." The boy was slightly concerned as you looked at him, waiting for the boy with sunny yellow hair to reply
"Denki Kaminari!" he smirks, "Good luck and thanks for the save! Hopefully, we make it into the same class!" [Name] nods reading herself for more robots to come her way, that is before she heard the giant thuds of the zero point robot coming closer to them both. Kaminari paled in fright and froze, "How big is that thing?" he shuddered.
"Shit." [Name] murmured before she began bolting pulling him along with her in a slightly panicked state. They both felt pieces of pavement a building crash and whiz past them as they continued to sprint away. [Name] was more concerned about the boy, Kaminari's, safety rather than the path in front of her, so when
"THE TEST IS OVER" was screeched out, [Name] fell flat on her face with Kaminari on top of her. [Name] yelped as he rolled himself off of her in minor relief, with a slight blush crossing over his face from a mixture of embarrassment and something else. [Name] propped herself up small scratches covering her face, and acting as if nothing at all happened easily jumped up a grin spread across her face as she reached out her hand waiting for him to grab it. With a weary smile, Kaminari grabbed on as he was hefted up. [Name] smiled giving him finger guns before quickly turning away, trying to attempt a getaway DID I REALLY JUST DO FINGER GUNS TO A RANDOM GUY?! Kaminari snorted and attempted not to laugh, [Name] turned around slightly flustered.
"I- I'm sorry, I embarrassed myself an-" Kaminari cut in causing [Name] to pause
"Chill!" he smirks, doing finger guns himself, causing relief to wash over her. "But really thanks for saving my ass, wanna exchange numbers, it'd be fun to chat to you sometime!" [Name] was slightly taken aback from this level of interaction.
"Um, Yeah! Sure!" [Name] pulls out her phone and they quickly exchange numbers.
"You know maybe we could go out sometime if you get into U.A., wink wonk" [Name] stifles a laugh and covers her face, and waves to him.
"M- Maybe who knows! Just tell me what class you're in first ok!" She smiles before running off leaving Kaminari alone slightly blush
[Name] flopped onto her sofa backwards in exhaustion, not willing to go out and fulfil any vigilante duties she had set for herself and to be honest she was far too anxious to do anything but wait for results and her fate. [Name] sighed thinking over what she should have done better, but she always goes back to the first people she interacted with in a long time, naturally and without a grimace of disgust to someone with the title of a vigilante. She smiled as she began to drift off while listening to music to soothe her.
