Raven pushed Damian off. He couldn't believe he really had the nerve to kiss her; especially when he already had a girlfriend. She couldn't help but to think about how Mar'i would react. Would she cry? Would she get angry? Well, it seemed she didn't have to wait too long to get her answer.

"D-Damian?" Mar'i said, her voice cracked and squeaky, "What're you doing?"

Damian pulled away, surprised and taken aback at her presence. "Beloved.."

"You seriously have some thinking to do." Raven glared at Damian, "You're a sick little.." She chose not to end that statement and simply crossed her arms, waiting for what was about to happen between Damian and Mar'i.

"Why were you.." Mar'i then connected two and two together and shoved Damian, "You lied to me! You told me you've never seen her in your life! You said you only have feelings for me and nobody else!" Mar'i yelled as tears of a mixture of anger and sadness streamed down her face.

Damian simply accepted Mar'i's reaction in return, knowing he deserved the outcome.

"Worthless.." Mar'i whispered before storming off, "That's what you are."

Damian simply stood there shocked. He, along with the rest of the school, hadn't expected Mar'i to do that. They didn't believe she was capable of being too angry at someone, especially not her boyfriend. But it was clear that theory was proven wrong when that ordeal had unraveled.

Raven scoffed. She didn't know what to do anymore.

Of course, a part of her —the part that still wished to be with Damian— had told her to take compassion for him.

But the other part —the cruel, heartbroken part— told her he had deserved it.

Raven sighed as she allowed the more compassionate part of her to take control then placed a hand on his shoulder.

Damian was surprised at her touch. He turned to face her and gave Raven a weak smile. It wasn't as if he didn't like Mar'i. He enjoyed her company a lot. It was simply that Raven had always understood him and where he came from. She never asked the question why when he was to say something. She simply always.. understood.

"Rae.." Damian began to say.

"You need some time alone for now, Damian." Raven sighed then removed her hand from his shoulder and walked away.

"Hey, Rae?"

Raven shot her head up, not expecting her to hear her name be called out. "Gar?"

"You seem like you're in such a daze.. Do you wanna talk?" Garfield answered.

"Not at all, actually. Damian is just.. Complicated lately." Raven shrugged.

"Oh, come on, Rae.. Don't tell me you're still upset over him."

"I kind of am.. He's so different."

"Hey! Know who isn't different?"

"Who?"

"Me! Talk to me! Care about me! Damian isn't a loyal person, okay? Know who is? Me, Raven!"

"You know.. There's a huge difference between you and Damian, Garfield!" She yelled back at him.

"Yeah, I know! I actually care about you!"

"That isn't it Garfield.. It's that I actually love him!"

Raven covered her mouth after she said that, in shock. Raven collected her books then hurriedly exited the scene, unaware of whether or not she had meant the statement. Or whether or not she wanted to believe it.

Raven was never once one to express emotions. No matter what, she always kept them bottled inside her.

That is, until she had found someone to let it out to.

But they had pushed each other away.

And now, there was nobody.
