F O U R

As the crowd was cheering, as the music boomed loudly throughout the park, as the listeners danced to the sounds the bands were making, Raven had no interest in this.

It was a good thing that she'd been out of school for once, even if she had been out on a lie.

She sat against a tree as she watched Jon enjoy his first concert. He normally hadn't been allowed soda at home so he had been taking advantages and was currently running on an intense sugar high.

Damian, though, was nowhere to be found. She didn't bother looking for him as she assumed he needed his space.

Sometimes he'd been like this. She remembered that he had a mild case of social anxiety when it came to huge crowds. It had been impeccably inconvenient, him being the "prince of Gotham", but during social events he managed to slip away from the crowd and hide out in his dad's larger-than-life office.

Where he'd be hiding this time, she had no clue. She shrugged it off and assumed he'd be back sooner or later.

But, about an hour later, the park was in a frenzy and if his social anxiety had been acting up, there was absolutely no way he'd actually make it out without completely flipping out.

But Raven paid no mind to this.

Well, it's not that she had completely ignored that fact. It was that it had simply never crossed her mind. She was too busy humming along to the lyrics of some songs she had known or recognized from the radio, watching and laughing at Jon's hurried state, and eating and drinking, sneaking in the occasional vodka shot.

Raven smiled, laughing a little as the alcohol had already been taking effect. She watched Jon dance along to every song.

Surprisingly enough, she had actually been enjoying herself for once. All that ended, though, when she had noticed a figure at the end of the crowd.

This particular figure had it's head into his knees, crying into them.

And, the thing was, the figure likely resembled the height and shape of Damian.

Suddenly the effects the alcohol had on her worn off, and easily since she had been responsible enough to not get completely drunk. She ran over to him and seated herself next to the figure.

"Damian? What's wrong?" She avoided looking at him, as she knew that could make it worse.

"It's nothing. Just made a mistake coming here, that's all." He stood up and wiped off his tears.

She looked at him, thinking deeply. Ever since her return he'd refuse to show emotions to her. Knowing him, normally he would have made an excuse but instead, he had just brushed it off.

No, it wasn't exactly the type of emotion people would want. But to Raven, it meant that she was slowly cracking him. He was slowly reallowing her into his life.

"Think we should go back to school?" She stood up behind him.

"Hell no." He grabbed her arm and took her out to the limo again.

"What about Jon?"

"He'll do.. something." Damian shrugged it off then whispered something inaudible to Alfred.

"Where are you taking me?" She gave him one of her trademark cocked eyebrows.

"Thanks for helping me." He changed the subject quickly. Wherever he was taking her was clearly supposed to be a secret.

"Its not a problem." She smiled, but only a little bit.

He sighed as they rode in silence. The ride getting more awkward by the minute. After a little while, Damian took a deep breath, knowing what he was about to say could be risky.

"Raven.. why did you come back?"

She stood taken aback, as she hadn't been expecting the question at all. "W-What do you mean?"

"You clearly left for a reason, it's not very difficult to figure out, so why did you come back?"

Raven groaned. She was sick and tired of him playing this game with her. Whatever his aim was pretending not to remember her wasn't worth it anymore. She didn't feel anything towards him anymore but irritation.

"Stop pretending you forgot me!" She crossed her arms, "You didn't! I know you didn't, so just quit it!"

He sighed in defeat. His secret was no longer a secret and it was time to come clean. "Yeah, I remember you. I remember what we once were, just didn't want to." He shrugged.

"Why?" Her voice calmed a little.

"Because you could've left again. Raven, when you left us, when you left me, I couldn't do anything. I couldn't focus on school, or work with Father. I couldn't enjoy myself, the few times I had tried. All I could do was cry and wait for you to come back, and that's if you came back."

"So, instead of acknowledging my return, you decide to completely forget about me?" She rolled her eyes, "Smart."

"Because what if you leave again!" He yelled, "What if you go.. for good this time! What am I going to do, cry again!"

"You said you loved me, didn't you!"

"I still do, Raven!"

"Don't humor me, Damian." She took off her seatbelt then leaned forwards to tell Alfred to stop and that she'd be able to walk.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled.

"Yeah, sure you are." She got out the car as soon as Alfred stopped.

She hadn't regretted a single thing. Damian chose to be that way, so be it if he stupidly decided to let someone he so called "loved" go.

He'd continue to do that; go from one girl to the next, leaving a trail of broken hearts.

But Raven was bigger than all this. She refused to let herself be one of those girls.

Even if it did mean she had to let him go.
