Noah's Point Of View
"Will your family like me?" Shia questioned while looking at me, turbulence and fear could be seen in her eyes.
"Of course, ako nga hulog na hulog na sa'yo, sila pa kaya." I made her feel that what I was saying was true.
Shia is the most selfless person that I know, she will always choose other people than herself. With her great kindness, people sometimes are taking her for granted.
I saw her struggles, how her family treated her and how she fought her depression on her own. I must say that I have a tough woman here.
She's the best woman in the world and I will never find someone like her. She made me perceive things that I never knew before. She's my bliss in this abyss.
She made me fall for her so fucking hard to the point that I no longer knew how to rise without her. She made me a better person and I will forever be thankful to her.
"We're here, baby, wake up now." Shia gently tapped Hezekiah's cheeks. Hezekiah opened his eyes and it landed on Shia's face.
"Momma, is this Papa's house?" He asked.
"Yes, baby, it's huge, right?" Shia giggled.
"Yes, momma! It's like a fortress!" Hezekiah bellowed.
I helped Shia lift the seatbelt on her. Her baby bump was very evident now, it's massive but she's still the most stunning lady that I know and no one can change my mind.
"Hijo, nandito ka na pala!" Tita Suzette, mom's sister approached me. Her gaze turned to Shia and I saw Shia smiled at her and so did my aunt.
"Is this Shia, the one who made you weep?" Tita probed, elevating her eyebrows.
"Tita, stop!" I growled because of embarrassment.
"Big boy na talaga ang baby namin, tignan mo may baby na rin!" She teased me while chuckling. I chortled at what she said.
"Oh sige pasok na, nakahanda na ang hapag, naghihintay na din ang daddy mo pati na din ang tito Klaus mo." Iginaya kami ni Tita suzette papunta sa dining area.
I hold Shia by the waist and supported her in case she suddenly loses her balance. She also wrapped her arms around my waist and she leaned her face on my chest. She's hugging me while we're walking.
"Son, you're here!" Dad stood up in his chair when he saw me. He greeted me with a big smile and a tight hug.
"How are you? Ngayon nalang ulit kita nakita." He probed but as he asked his gaze shifted to Shia and Hezekiah who were beside me.
"Is this your wife and your son?" Dad asked like a child.
He used to force me to get married but I didn't agree because the woman I wanted hadn't come back yet, but now that she's back, I'm ready.
"No wonder why Noah fell for you, you're very beautiful!" Singit ni tita Suzette.
I saw her blush at the compliments she received from my family. She looked even more beautiful because of her pinkish cheeks.
"Welcome to the family, Hezekiah, and Shia!" Tito Klaus greeted.
I was happy with the way my family embraced Shia and my boy, Hezekiah but perhaps it would be better if my mother was here too, maybe our family would be happier.
"Ang gwapo ng apo ko, mana sa akin!" Dad was ecstatic as he stared at my son.
"Ano pang hinihintay niyo? Kumain na tayo." Tita Suzette called the helpers and ordered them to serve the food.
It was a pleasant day particularly when I saw the joy in Shia's eyes.
"My family can be your family too." I whispered in her ears. Her eyes became teary. She pouted, trying to stop her tears.
"Thank you so much, Noah. I love you." She whispered back.
"I love you more, baby," I responded. I took the small red box out of my pocket and showed it to Shia.
"Are you willing to be my Mrs. Sarmiento?" I probed.
"Yes!" She yelled, tears streaming down her cheeks.
