La Fille Qui Se Sentait Trop [The Girl Who Felt Too Much] -Narcissa Black

Narcissa Black didn't know how to feel about her family. She could never hate them, but deep down she knew she could never love them either. She didn't have the happiest of childhoods, but compared to her cousins Sirius and Regulus's upbringing, she would consider hers a blessing. Narcissa had grown up with a love for art, she wanted to paint the world, perhaps that's why she got along so well with her youngest cousin Regulus, because they both wanted to paint the world the way they saw it, or perhaps it was because they both had an eye for beauty.

Narcissa Black hated her parents right now. How could they sell Bella away as if she was cattle, for Merlin's sake she was only 12. And on top of that they sold her to the Lestranges, they had a history of murdering each other, although in Narcissa's opinion the Black's were no better. It was decided that Rodolphus and Bella would marry right after they graduate Hogwarts and Narcissa hated that her sister didn't fight their parents on it, that she didn't fight for her freedom, but a part of Narcissa knew that even if she did, she wouldn't win.

Narcissa Black always felt like an older sister to Regulus. Perhaps that's why she risked her life by sneaking into Grimmauld after the news of Sirius's disownment came, she knew there was more to the story than what her aunt Walburga was saying. She found her cousin curled up in the tapestry room with blood staining his knuckles, face and shirt, the ceiling was broken and there was dust and wood everywhere, as if there had been a duel here. She picked him up (the fact that she could do this scared her slightly, because of how light he was), and quietly carried him to his room and tended to his injuries, and he soon woke up after she was done. That night as Narcissa lay holding her cousin, his occasional sobs being the only sound in the too quiet house, did she truly realized just how deranged and sick the Black family was.

Narcissa Black was in love. She felt like shouting it to the world, and she was wasn't just in love with a no body, no she was in love with Lucius Malfoy. Although he was older than her, she couldn't help how she felt towards the platinum blonde. Narcissa couldn't put into word how she was feeling when Lucius proposed, her initial reaction was to quickly except, the next thing she felt was relief, relief that she wouldn't be disowned like her sister Andromeda, who had married a muggle born, Ted Tonks, last year, and relief that she wouldn't have to marry Rabastan Lestrange, who Andromeda was supposed to marry. All in all Narcissa couldn't wait to start her new life with Lucius.

Narcissa Black was pregnant. Most people would be happy about that and Narcissa was, but she was also scared, Lucius had been going to the Dark Lord more and more, if this war continued her baby may not survive or it may not have a parent. The war was getting worse, she had heard many Purebloods at parties whispering about a prophecy that had come to light, she only hoped that it could help end this war, because this was no world she wanted her child to be apart of. This was not the life she had wanted, but it worked out in the end, and Narcissa knew she would do anything for her unborn child, just like she would do anything for her family, she just hoped Lucius felt the same.

Narcissa Black was mourning. She was mourning for a boy who was like a younger brother to her, she was mourning for Regulus Black, a boy who was thought to be murdered by the Dark Lord, but she knew better, her Regulus was smart and would not get caught. Regulus didn't die of murder or suicide, no he died for a family that didn't love him, he single handedly did more to stop this war than anyone else, and yet no one would know that except for his loyal house elf and Narcissa Black, who had received a letter from her cousin just before his heart stopped forever.

Narcissa Black was tired. She was tired of the dark lord, she was tired of Lucius always bowing down to him, she was tired of all this fighting and light and dark nonsense. All she wanted was to just go home with her family, and drink a nice hot cup of tea in her garden while she read a book. She didn't want to be making unbreakable vows to protect her son, she didn't want to silently cry in her room at the death of her cousin, a cousin she wished she had spent more time with, a cousin who was killed by her sister, a sister she couldn't help but love after everything.

And as she stood next to her husband while the dark lord beckoned her son foreword, she couldn't help, but plead with her eyes that he stay, and as she crouched over the body of the dead savior she couldn't help, but feel her motherly instincts rise at the look of pain in his eyes, and in the end as the battle rages all Narcissa wants is for all the pain and suffering to end, and she hopes that her cousins have found peace because they aren't so different after all, because in the end they are family, The Black Family, and in the end everything they did was to protect those who they considered their family.

A/N So I finally updated and I am so proud of myself. Tell me what you think. :)
