Bill

"Pinetree, come on, you've been here for a long time! When will you move on?"

I can't believe this kid.

I mean, with him being in the corner of the bed, there's no telling what. Besides, this is absolutely ridiculous! I'm bored!

"Look, how about the deal, huh? Can we talk about it at least?"

"...."

"Umm..."

Come on, Bill! Think! There's gonna be something that this kid likes.

Oh!

I snap my fingers as it appears from my hand, "Pinetree~", I move closer to him while waving it a little, "I got the limited edition Gone Nowhere book by your favorite author~"

"...."

"You should thank me since this haven't gone out yet"

I thought this might work, however, the plan failed as he pushes the book away from him and sighs.

Looking down at the book, I placed it at the condor and sat beside him.

He looks so determined. Blank...nothing more.

I'm sick of it!

"Pinetree! Why can't you move on! I mean, what with you and the wall?"

"Bill, why do you care?"

"Because I'm bored and I need some entertainment. Besides, do I remind you about the deal?"

He turns at me with a blank expression and simply said that the deal can wait.

The 'deal-can-wait' my ass!

Grabbing his right arm, I teleport both of us back to the forest and start dragging him through the woods.

Pinetree try to remove his arm from my grasp—hint try.

He shouldn't underestimate the all-powerful demon like me.

Anyways, we should be here right now.

Pinetree stop for the moment that he saw the place.

I can tell that Pinetree didn't expect me to take him here and started to ask me questions. I ignored him as I begin to levitate up to the sky before knocking out the hard, yet warm metal looks like a tree branch.

With that, a path appears right below him. I landed beside him; holding his hand and continued walking.

He hasn't said anything to me as I twist the wheel before it open and trails behind me. Once we got there, he silently watches me carefully find one of the symbols to unlock the other side of the room without getting us killed—or in this case, getting the kid kill.

After I solve it, we quickly went inside the room before closing the door right behind.

Nothing

Everything seems quiet beside a couple of machines along with some screens right side of us.

I didn't expect much of him.

As long as he listens...

Dipper

"You know, you should've just teleport us here instead of doing all of this"

I never thought that I'll be here...

The time that me, Mabel, Soos, and Wendy discover Grunlke Ford's secret hideout was also the time that I got heartbroken despite that we almost got ourselves kill...

Thanks, Mabel

True fully, it wasn't entirely her fault since we encounter the creature without knowing it.

But still...

Even if he wasn't there, Mabel will still be a fault for pressuring me as she locks both me and Wendy in that room without thinking of the consequent.

I know...I know...

But still, I can't help...

"If Sixer hasn't put any security that detects magic here, I would've had", he huffs out of annoyance.

Confused, Bill has to point out each different hidden spot.

How did I not see that?

"Cuz they're hidden, duh"

I glare at him and said, "s-shut up", which made him laugh as I cursed myself.

Can't believe this...

Bill's laugh died down and spoke serious, "Pinetree, we need to talk"

I rolled my eyes as I listen to his nonsense.

Everything that he cares about is that stupid deal!

"Hey! I care about you!"

"Since when, Bill!?"

"Since the moment I-"

I shut him up, "stop pretending, Bill! The only reason why you need me is for that damn deal! And what's so important about that deal anyways!"

Walking towards the door as I continue, "it's not like anyone cares about you!"

"Pinetree, you don't mean that..."

Grabbing the door's knob before looking back at him with rage.

Every aspect of pain that I have inside me has slowly begun to drift away.

It was like having a fever dream...

Remembering the moment that I have each from every life that I have been through has disappeared.

I don't know what came over me, but for sure, that this made me feel good.

I understand what I did was childish, but I don't know what to do.

I gotta release it somewhere.

I snap out from the moment and look around to see that I wasn't in the room anymore nor was Bill with me.

It took me some time to realize my mistake.

'I should've done that' I kept telling myself.

Now it makes me feel like a jerk for yelling at Bill over something that doesn't even involve him.

Well...not really but still.

Damn, me and emotions...

Taking a deep breath to get my mind clear off and before I knew it, a sound from the left side had me moving away.

Bill

"Pinetree!"

This meatshack's breathing technique of running had me wanna lay down and perished before letting me live.

How can they even do this without dying!?

Stupid running...Stupid Sixer along with his bitchy-

Boom!

I stop as I tried to listen without hearing my own hard breathe.

"That's weird?", I mumble myself while started walking at a normal pace, "Should have this place be-"

"Bill!"

Running towards me, grabbing my arm with no hesitation as I follow.

Confused, I ask, "Pinetree, what the hell is going on!?"

"Bill should've you know what's going on here!?"

Passing the right side of the path before turning the left side, "yeah! I would have if Sixer wouldn't put that STUPID 'PROTECTION'!"

The light flickers nonstop.

Unknown sounds echo through the tunnel then back.

Seeing Pinetree's expression tells me that this might be bad.

Dipper

My mind is racing.

So many things have been going on.

Everything seems to have fallen into place—like literally!

Damn, at this rate, nothing seems to be favoring me.

"Whoa", moving over to the left a couple of rocks begin to fall.

Some create new cracks while others got destroy.

I don't know what causes it, but either way, we need to get out of here.

Narrator

Life down in the secret base wasn't doing better for both of them.

Who knew that coming back here will bring nothing but destruction.

"Great! Just great!", gotten through another trail as he continues, "not only there's an unknown force but I would likely agree that we are lost at this point"

"No, we're not!", Dipper yelled.

Stop himself to look both sides for a moment and continue after turning on the right side.

Dipper was positively sure that he made the right choice.

Meanwhile, Bill was a little complex; having some thoughts about the place.

He was sure that nothing was going to happen.

"Shit...", Dipper curse himself; realizing that they came to a dead end.

Glancing around, he figures out another way to get both him and Bill out safely.

"Pinetree", Bill cried as he grabs both of Dipper's shoulders towards him—the light sheer broke after falling too fast.

Dipper thank him and went to another side; Bill follows.

Everything went smoothly afterward since they were both able to make it out alive.

"Bill!"

Bill

"Huh?"

"Bill, come on, let's go before everything collapses!"

"I know that", I replied; watching Pinetree as he climbs up towards the exit.

This seems too weird—not that I'm complaining—but...

"Bill, where are you going?", Pinetree asks as he realizes that I was walking away from him.

I simply answer him that I'm just going to check something.

He complains but I didn't listen and minding my own business.

I know that this was a risky/dumb move but still...I feel like something is up.

I took some turns not knowing what I was about to discover.

Furthermore, once I was about to enter another path, my whole body suddenly went fast as I was facing the person that had me swiveling.

"Hey, what the hell are you doing? We need to get going, Bill"

Forcing me to go back, I told him that I was fine and that I should be concerned about him.

Pinetree gasps as he throws himself into me.

Hearing a sound of a hidden hit along with the snap from the ground.

Before knowing it, we end up running.

Looking behind me, I gasp as I face Pinetree, "Pinetree, who the hell was that!?"

"It's him!", he cried.

Hearing some footsteps from behind, Pinetree holds me tight, while quickly turn to our destination.

Pinetree got the hold out of the metal latter but was later let go; moving out of the way to see an ax that flew past him.

Luckily, it was still holding up.

"Dipper Pines, it been so long..."

"How the hell did you get out?"

"Does it matter", he continues as he forms himself into his true form, "all it matter that I need to get out of here"

That shapeshifter gets closer and deeply said, "and you're getting my way"

"Get back!", I shouted as I cover Pinetree away from him.

He didn't seem too frightened at my threats and just laugh.

It took me a moment to realize and curse myself and Sixer.

Pinetree step in and told the creature that we can all get out before the other replied, "and let you tell the author about me"

Letting out a form of an ax on his right side, "I don't think so"

Dipper

Running towards us as we dodge a couple of attacks from him.

While he turns to Bill, I quickly pull the ax from the latter and got close to the shapeshifter to attack him from behind.

Luckily, this got me advanced to have time to get me and Bill to go up the latter into the surface.

However, it didn't last as I felt a hold from my right leg and let out a scream.

"Pinetree!", Bill cried as he tried to get hold of me.

Of course, I struggled my leg around; hoping that the creature would let go of his grasp.

But he would've let go.

"It's over now, Dipper!", he yelled—pulling me down as I continue to struggled while getting the hold of the bar.

I look up at Bill and told him to just go without me.

He looks pretty determined and refused before letting out, "GET AWAY FROM MY PINETREE!"

A familiar force pushes the creature away from me causing him to lose his grip and letting out a scream.

Realizing that the ground was piling up close to us, we climb forward to the surface and close the lid completely.

Just to make sure, Bill was able to summon some chains around the lid.

It took a while to get us to relax as we progressed everything that happened to us down there.

We went from arguing to surviving.

It's crazy!

I sat near a log as Bill follow.

Silently, we watch while listening to some birds chirping.

Huh

....

Narrator

Nothing changes between both of them as they remain on the same spot.

Of course, they both knew that one of them have to break this silence, however, they just don't know-how.

"...."

"...."

"Bill"

"Yes Pinetree"

Dipper hesitates for a moment.

Getting his strength wasn't easy for him, but he kept going.

"About what I said back there...", sigh before look at Bill straight to his eye, "I didn't mean it"

Dipper continues, "I got so catch up with the whole past that I forgot about the present".

Bill's eye soften after hearing out from him.

He smirks and jokingly said, "Sheesh, Pinetree. Don't get your flea bag's emotion get into you. This isn't like you~"

Dipper laughs happily as Bill followed.

With a sound of a snap, they reappear in Dipper's room once more. Along with Bill telling Dipper about the deal to which Dipper replied, "even though I'm still upset about that stupid deal, I'll go along with it"

With that, the boys made up, however, there's one thing that Dipper has in mind...

Bill

"Hey, Bill. Back at the base, when we're getting out, what do you mean by, 'my Pinetree'?"

Shit!

I thought that kid might forget about it and assume that it was nothing, but damn...

Luckily, my savior has arrived once we heard a knock on the door.

I get up and open the door as it turns out to be Fez.

"Hey, how are you hanging, sport?"

Before Pinetree answer, I told him that everything is fine and that he's feeling a bit better.

Fez gave a small smile before pulling out a small box from behind.

"Here kid", passing the box to him, "Wendy wants you to have it"

With that, he patted on my shoulder and left.

Going back to Pinetree, realize that his appearance was a mess. From his hair along with his clothes ripped in some parts to his leg—leaving him a mark, which would probably go away.

Well, that explains Fez's expression.

Anyways, it appears that he didn't notice it. Ripping out some fabric before opening it, which lead him to gasp.

A smile appeared on his face when he took out a familiar blue Pinetree hat.

"Hey, Pinetree! It's your hat!"

He laughs while pulling out another from the box, which turns to be some kind of small item.

At first, Pinetree obverse it before yelling out, "wow! Wendy just got us two tickets to the County Fair next week!"

"The County Fair?"

"Yeah", he put the tickets aside, "I'm pretty sure you are aware of it"

I nodded.

Remembering that fair where people dress and acted way back in the days along with a lie that lives on in Gravity Falls history.

"Hey, thanks for being there with me"

With a smile, I answer, "no problem, kid"
