Dipper

"Everyone, get in!"

A hard press of the gas made Grunkle Stan's car an uproar. Speedy their way across the road.

My mind couldn't process as siren can be heard from behind.

I could've asked Bill, but it was pointless by the look of his excitement.

"Now this is what I called entertaining!"

Bill howl proudly as Grunkle Stan made a hard turn at the right before making it on the left.

Mabel tried to question him, but he brush her off with the line, "no time to explain, Kid".

Looking back, I wonder what has he done to end up like this.

<Flashback>

"Hey, do you think this could work?", I ask as I pull it out.

Bill was looking over one of the papers that focuses on the creation that we found a week back from the forest.

The object contained all the different symbols that Bill doesn't even recognize.

All he said was that it look familiar.

Hm! To me, it sounds like denial.

"Pinetree, make sure you pull out the core carefully"

I slowly pulled out the core as Bill repeatedly the word 'carefully'.

Making a small adjustment, I was able to pull it out before a huge crash that slammed the door against the wall.

<Flashback Ended>

Then everything else seems to rush.

Grunkle Stan was yelling out crazy while grabbing things that weren't necessarily needed.

Pushing that aside, I just hope that this isn't the mess that we're dealing with.

"Oink oink"

"You said it", I replied.

"Mabel, sweetheart, look out on right! See if you can find anything that might me escape from those cops!"

My body was following from left to right as he turns.

Mabel tried to reason him to stop this, but it was no use since Bill decided to help him instead.

Right now, this isn't making things better, but then again, since when has there been a time where we haven't gone to any problem?

"Mr. Pines, stop this at one!"

"Never! You gonna caught me first!"

Every turn that he made, just made me feel intense about the situation.

"Oh shoot-!"

_¿?_

Narrator

"Whelp, ain't we lucky"

"Yeah, shooting one of the tires may be one of our best ideas that we ever had"

"You said it"

Both of them laugh as they held the Pines family along with Bill to the police station.

Both parties were safe and sound though one of them tried to put out a fight, but ended it short.

Overall, nobody knows what was going on as they were about to enter...

"What the?"

Weirdness.

Inside the building, many citizens were gathering up in different places. From first to last names, tallest to shortest, longest to shortest figures (etc. head, hands, foot), and so much that you can possibly think of.

Dipper questioned Sheriff Blubs after he witness one of the police officers exporting a small fluff white mammal, to which Sheriff responds that it was part of the case—didn't need to explain any further.

Though it doesn't explain to Dipper why literally everyone including himself is being held with handcuffs.

It was pointless for him to ask any more questions since they won't answer what he expected them to answer.

"For now, we would be in charge for you all to ask each and everyone one of you a question. Till then, no one gets to leave", Blubs explains before Deputy Durland takes the family's pig away.

Mabel tried to reach out her lovable pig despite the situation but wasn't able to get Waddles on time as the pig was already escorted somewhere else.

Now, I don't need to tell you the detail about how the Pines are feeling. You can imagine how to be in the situation when you don't have the slightest clue and can't help but to feel conflicted about it.

Overall, no one was happy about it.

No one except Bill.

"How can you stay calm?"

Dipper and his 'boyfriend', Bill, were sitting at their assigned seat after being separated from others. So far, were lucky enough to be together since Bill has no record from this town, and the officers have no choice but to leave him with Dipper.

Basically, they were lazy to find information about Bill and just leave it as Dipper's 'boyfriend'.

Crazy coincidence?

"Relax. Look, these meatshack just wants answers that doesn't involve anything"

"It does", Dipper snapped, "and besides, I know what you just did to be with me"

"My, what on earth do you mean?", Bill asks innocently.

Dipper rolled his eyes.

Before long, someone called Bill's fake name as they took him to a private room.

Of course, Dipper was skeptical but reassured himself that everything should be fine. As long as Bill is not recognized by anyone locals.

I know what you're wondering, 'would Bill be part of a different group instead of being with Dipper based on physical appearance?'

The answer is quite simple, they are lazy—idiotic lazy to be exact. This is Gravity Falls where things are unusual and have no sense at all.

Dipper

"I don't know", I mumble myself as I wait for Bill's return.

The thoughts are running with questions; questions that even I couldn't answer.

I wonder if it has to do something with the County Fair innocent or better yet, something else that we don't know.

Either way, I hope that everything is okay.

A sound echo through the hallways as it came closer toward me that welcome me with laughter.

"Alright kid", the officer calm himself down, "wait here until further notice"

Bill laughed, and wave off at the officer. I look over at the officer one more time, noticing that the man chuckled before walking away.

Going over to Bill, I ask him what he did, to which he simply said, "nothing, we were just talking about things or so"

I rolled my eyes as another officer called me in. I have no choice but to listen as I only hope that Bill will at least behave while I'm gone.

Narrator

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room...

"Sir, we ask you once again, tell us!"

"..."

"Oh, I see, you don't want to talk then, huh?"

"..."

"I'll make you talk!"

The man who yelled was held back by his partner during the whole investigation.

On the side of them, there's a mirror—a mirror that reflects nothing but the person right in front of it. However, behind it, appears two people looking at them, yet invisible to them.

Those two so happened to be the people that you know and probably love.

"Hey, do you know how long this is going to take until its end?"

"I don't know, but I do know what we're doing later"

A gasp from his partner was insight when he pull out a book filled with scary stuff along with a couple of tickets for both of them.

They laugh a little before they go on about work.

So far, they already heard enough about the interviews with the family Pines's pig, who was given the two offices before some 'attitude'.

While walking, they move on to the Pine girl, who was—at least—trying to cooperate with the officers before they bargain her, to which she silently agree.

Then finally, they ended up going to the last room as they were assigned to interview this well-known person.

"Listen, I'm telling you. I was in my house all day. I mean, why would I join these hooligan events?"

"Stanley Pines, we just want to know if you know something about this town?"

"And why should I tell you? I mean, don't you officers have the information already?"

One of the police officers slams their arm across the table and points it out, "Hey, we're the ones with questions! You here"

Stan chuckles a bit and jokingly asks, "and what are you going to do about it?"

Both Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland look at each other before looking back at Stan.

At first, he was confused. It took a while for him to realize that his marks should have been kept to himself.

Dipper

"What was that?"

For a moment there, I just heard a quite fatal scream at the other side across the room, however, Bill ignore my question as he was focused more—on what I assume—his 'fun'.

Grabbing over my left arm, I try to balance myself as we passed around people and animals around us.

Surely enough, we end up at the front door that Bill was looking for. I have some doubts about this, however, it was pushed aside after I see Bill going inside as I follow.

Inside was full of different screens; screens that show every single room from the inside and out except ours.

Finding the right words to say to him, but instead, I was to fix on the screens.

Watching and hearing everything as if it was a TV show.

"Listen to this. If I was able to tell you, you can have a free dessert along with my car"

~¿?~

"Sir, you gotta believe me. I'm a real reporter here."

"Sure, and I'm a real president of the United States"

~¿?~

"Alright, we're all in"

Three people show their cards before one of them cheers in joy, while the other two curses themself.

~¿?~

"Listen, I was with him the whole time. I mean, we were inseparable until he got himself a boyfriend, which was fine with me since it doesn't change anything. Well, except having his boyfriend"

~¿?~

"Listen! This isn't going anywhere until you tell us!"

"Greg, stop! Can't you see what you're doing!?"

"Can't it! Now. Talk!"

"..."

"Well?"

"..."

"Oink Oink"

"Oh, you son of-"

It was cut off by the same scream that I heard in the hallways.

Turning to the right side, I realized that it was the old man that I knew very well.

"Sir! Calm down!"

"I have nothing else to say to you all except the information that I told you"

"Yes, we know. We understand-"

"Understand? Well, understand this!"

Chaos started happening from here and there on one screen. The two officers try to hold him off, yet weren't able to stop him from escaping the room.

We got a runner!

He ran in different places. Every movement of the old man appears on some screens.

While that was happening, a familiar smell came through—a blank glance at him.

After a second of silence, he finally asked, "...you want some?"

Which I replied by pushing the popcorn away; making him shrug off before chopping the buttery corn onto his mouth.

Trying to explain to him how we need to go back after watching two cops coming towards our side from the screen.

However, Bill discard my worries as we heard.

"Do not disturb"

"What's that mean?"

"I don't know, but it's better to leave it than to go against it"

"Alright"

Walking away from our screen, Bill start to laugh as he called them dummies.

Bill notice my attitude and said, "See, I told you that you don't need to worry about your meatbag's emotion"

"Right now, we should leave"

With that, Bill went to the right corner; pulling the shed off the vent before going in.

I didn't know what to say after Bill called out my name, but just follow.

Narrator

Ups and downs.

Side to side.

Every path has its way.

It wasn't the case for Dipper Pine. He has no idea where this is going. The only thing he can do is to follow.

Another incident occurred when two male officers were having a quick coffee in the break room. Fill with nothing but silent music; roaming around the room.

While one of the officers grabs a nice clear donut, something unexpected occurs.

The sounds changes domestically as both of them notice an awkward situation.

The music is well known by everyone across the country. Used by any teen drama movie you can think of.

More specifically—romance.

One of the officers goes by the name Mark, look over at his friend and told him that he didn't mind if his friend decided to change the radio.

Of course, his friend, Rico, didn't mind and ask him if the song bother him.

This goes on to the point that their denial became known as one of the irony.

Both men sing.

Without knowing that there's an audience.

"Sheesh, don't they even know the words of Superstar song?"

A humming voice came behind as Bill looked over and smirk; witnessing Pinetree's hidden talent.

It took a second for Dipper to realize before stopping himself as Bill laugh a little.

"Don't stop, Pinetree. I was starting to enjoy your cute little concert."

"Shut up", he responds as they continue their long way to Bill's destination.

_¿?_

"This is getting ridiculous!"

"Haha! Suck it!"

Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland's sound of defeat made Stan laugh even more.

Pulling some extra cash in, "you know, I have fun. So, why don't we call it a day"

Putting every win onto his pockets as he continues, "you guys seem pretty cool, and since I play your games, how about in return, you will let my family go and-"

"Nice try, Stanley Pine. But I can't let go"

"Oh come on! How much do you need to know? I already told you everything that you need."

"Sorry, but I need you to be here along with your family. It's part of a law that we need to follow"

Stan knew for that moment.

No matter how much he tries, they will never let him and his family go.

"Mr. Pine?"

An unknown emotional glance and a cry appear—strong.

"Fuck the law!"

Every single thing that he ever found has crashed from left to right.

Making this his key to escape.

A scream came far from him as each step came at a fast pace.

For an old man, he sure knows how to run.

Dipper

"We're almost there, Pinetree. Just a little more..."

"How do you even know where-"

"Pinetree, have you forgotten who I am? Or are you so caught up in our romance that you're slowly falling over me~"

"Ha! You wish", I replied.

With a simple one last minute, we were able to arrive.

Letting my foot out of the vent, I almost lost my balance here as soon as I saw something that I wasn't expecting.

Stan

Normally, my daily routine would've been taking care of my family, while helping out with Soos. But being chased by cops wasn't part of the plan.

"Grunkle Stan!"

"I know, I know, Punkin! Let me think of something!"

Understanding the situation, it seems difficult, but to me, it's quite simple.

Just need a sight.

"Stop!"

Whelp, that was quick.

A miracle happened right before us. Not even the angels can top that.

"Hey, Old Man McGucket! Glad you here! Help the man out, will you!"

The man nodded before releasing a couple of colorful gas from here to there.

Holding my niece's hand tight, I was able to get in through the door before being surprised by an unexpected.

Narrator

Laughers with a hint of celebration made Stan puzzle.

Not only did he find his nephew and his 'boyfriend' but the townsfolk along with police officers as well.

You may wonder how it came to this.

Well, let's ask the mastermind himself.

"See, I told you to relax, Dipper", he jubilee said with a soft laugh passing through his lips.

Dipper couldn't believe it as he start questioning his motive and how he was able to get everyone involved without his knowledge.

His partner happily explained how he was able to convince the two officers who were questioning him, distracting Dipper by dragging him away, and for the final touch, was able to get him along with the rest of the other Pine together just for the sake of-

"Wait, so you saying that you did all of this because you were BORED!?"

"Yup, that's what I said. Didn't you listen, Dipper?", Bill ask casually.

"Besides, it was all worth it. I get to spend time with you while getting some actions. I mean, if we're going to be here for a while, might as well make it worth it, right?"

Dipper and his family were left speechless after hearing his explanation. As expected, Dipper wasn't surprised.

This is Bill, after all, however, there was one thing that Dipper didn't quite get.

"How were you able to convince not only the officers but also the folks as well?"

"Oh, easy. I have my little charms from here to there. As for the town people, they were told by the officers for pulling some small party without my knowledge."

Unsatisfied, before he press any further, Stan made a statement to just 'forget about it' and 'move on'.

With that, Dipper didn't have a choice since it was too late for him as he saw everyone else having a great time.

A warm feeling crawls from his hand up to his shoulder as he was welcome by Bill.

A hint of smile made Dipper follow as he was pulled away into the party.

Bill

Bill's interview

"Mr.William, where did you find that?"

Life can be full of surprises...if you can make it work in your favor.

It's funny how out of all the things that I couldn't do worst, this pathetic small video of them admitting that they nearly lost all of the townsfolk's records, including most of the cases that they were supposed to do.

Aren't I lucky enough to be the only dream demon that could witness something that makes them beg for mercy without torture?

However, I was quite astounded to find out that there were few records saved, including Star's and Llama's, which make me wonder...

Why per se?

Oh well.

Present

"Pinetree, you go ahead. They wanted me to ask a few dumb questions before I go since they caught up with the whole party and all that."

Walking away hesitantly before he relax calmly, I went straight to find them and found them in another room with the files I needed.

Before I took the files away, they stop me as I realize what I need to do.

After all, the deal is a deal.

With a push of the button, the video faded and I was handed files from them.

I thank them and go on my way; secretly putting the files away by magic, while whistling the tunes that I could remember.

Fools, they really are.

_¿?_

After the interview

"Pss, hey"

Got the guard's attention, I quickly show a video that I found a day ago, while Pinetree was with Fez.

I thought that it was funny to watch little Pinetree dancing with his lamb costume, to which I was happy enough to find someone else to enjoy this.

Hey, I was bored. Can't you blame me?

After that, I was back with Pinetree and was informed that I have to wait until 'further notice'.

I simply wave and smile off, which made him look back and chuckled.

<Well, I didn't expect to be THAT long>

<Whelp, made a new record>
