Kacchan led the both of us to the dining room and under the table.

I didn't understand why he had picked here of all places to hide out at but all of my curiosity dropped once I felt something brush against my forehead.

I glanced up, and to my surprise, there was a small handmade red and green item taped above my head.

"Hey, mom! If there's a mistletoe above two people, are they supposed to kiss on the lips?"

"Yes! You've seen movies! You should know this!"

Judging by the way Kacchans mom had said that, I don't think she was aware of his plan.

My face was blazing hot, and I even started grinning.

Kacchan turned his attention back to me, his face slightly dusted with a shade of pink.

He held my face with his two small hands, and grinned back at me.

"You're just like Christmas, Izuku! You have green hair, your face is all red, and your smile is bright like the Christmas lights!"

I was about to say something, but before I knew it, I had just received a small peck on the lips from Kacchan.

I felt a little giggle slip my lips after the sweet gesture.

Footsteps came into earshot, and then Kacchans mom's voice.

"What are you boys doing down there?"

"I'm being good." Kacchan responded immediately

"And I'm being Kacchans present!"

I was pulled into Kacchans arms, I think in order to shut me up.

Our mom's responses were completely different, and obvious as to who was talking.

"Awe! That's so sweet~"

"You better be."

The two responses and tones didn't mix well together, but only left us both to feel embarrassed.

As our mothers walked away from us, Kacchan lifted my face up, practically squishing my chubby freckled cheeks.

Kacchan dipped down and lightly kissed my forehead.

"You'll always be my present.."

I wish things hadn't changed.

I wish Kacchan hadn't changed.
