Darius bursts into the room with a grin. "What up, Camp Cretaceous?! Who's ready for some fun?! Whoo-hoo!" He found his friends in the lounge room, minus Brooklynn. Then walks inside to see them not reacting or even noticing him, except you giving a wave and walking over to tell him the news before Mr. Nutjob cut you off.

"Not in a "whoo-hoo" mood this morning, Darius." Kenji sat on a royal blue revolver chair, arms behind his head, and his feet were on the wooden table. "...Not after yesterday, trekking through a rainstorm will do that." Kon griped and eyed the dark blonde across the room on the couch.

"We only had to walk because you crashed our gyrosphere." Ben reminded with a slurp from his juice box. Kenji glared with a huff and growled at the dark blonde, who flinched and looked away avoiding the Asian boy's gaze.

Darius went to the middle of the room. "But today's a new day! Kayak Day!" He reminded excitedly and continued to express how thrilled he was. "Who doesn't wanna paddle alongside dinosaurs, real dinosaurs?! It's gonna be awesome, right?"

The boy stopped in noticing two people missing. "Wait, where are Dave and Roxie?"

"Ugh! The babysitters took off early and left this..." Kenji raised his feet to push himself over to Bowman on his swivel chair and smacked a piece of paper on his chest. You glared briefly at the Asian's sour attitude.

"BRB. Gotta go. Boss-talk. BB. Later. Smiley face..." Darius read the note from their male counselor. Eyebrow up in confusion over a certain detail by the blonde counselor. "Is that a dinosaur emoji with a thumbs up?"

"It's Dave speaking. Roxie translated on the back." Kon points out as you rolled your eyes at his behavior, it was weird after how much bragging he did about saving Darius and Brooklynn yesterday.

Bowman continued reciting the message. "We have to go talk to our boss. Stay inside until we return. Draw, bond, whatever. The radio's set for channel six in case you need us... Stay inside, stay inside... Do not leave, Kenji, looking at you." This made you stifle a laugh as Kenji groaned in annoyance.

"Uh... "Sorry for the kids' menus, it's all Dave had." Darius was confused and you went over to him and turn the boy to his back where a mini desk had coloring pages accompanied by two boxes of crayons, and kid activities on paper.

"Like seriously... Do they understand how old we are?!" Kenji whined frustratedly as he moved around the room with the wheels of the chair squeaking. "I mean, when was the last time you even saw a crayon?"

Ben beamed happily and held up a piece of paper in his hand showcasing a cute art drawing he made with the said crayons that Kenji found offensive. You couldn't help but smile, "Aw, is that Bumpy?" earning a nod from Pincus who glanced at the others on his masterpiece.

Sammy found it really nice, but Yasmina on the other hand with her own sketchbook of artwork thought otherwise. "Hmm... I have notes." Pincus' face fell as he lowered the paper with a sigh. "Yasmina!" Sammy gasped and smacked her friend's shoulder gently, you place a hand on Ben's back comfortingly and mouthed. "It's nice."

Then the doors suddenly slam open to reveal a pissed-off Brooklynn with her arms folded.

"Ah, Brooklyn. What's new on the internet, superstar?" Yasmina asked as she looked at the female blogger.

"I wouldn't know... Because when I went to get my phone from its charger, it wasn't there!" Brooklynn slowly walked inside and frowned. "Someone stole my phone!" The pink-haired girl announced for the entire room to hear as the ponytail brunette stared at her puzzled. "Brooklynn, who hasn't had your phone?"

"Yeah, I needed to check the weather last night," Ben confessed softly with a shrug. "Dr. Sattler posted a new column on microfossils yesterday..." Darius spoke up sheepishly with his arms behind his back. Kenji smirked and moved to the dining table on his swivel chair. "...Too good to miss the selfie opp, but I haven't used it since then, I swear!"

Brooklynn rolled her eyes with a scoff at the Asian boy's reason, then returned to frown but you noticed she was eying someone in particular. "I... haven't seen it either." Sammy stuttered, moving a few strands of her hair back. You saw how nervous she was and this made you suspicious. "Oh, Really?" she asked again and Bowman waved his hands.

"Hey, hey, it's okay! Since we're not kayaking til later, we'll have plenty of time to look for the phone." Darius reassured to keep things from blowing out of proportion. The pink-haired blogger held her hand up."Oh, I think I know exactly where to look. I also think that whoever took the phone might be trying to hide some of the things that are on it." She explained and slowly went to stare down at the Texan girl. "What do you think, Sammy?"

"U-um, what?" Guttieriez's eyes widen and looked away.

Yasmina glared and went ahead to respond. "Hey! What is your deal? Sammy said she didn't touch it! Ever think that you might have just lost the stupid thing?" 

Brooklynn sneered with a blank face. "Hmm. Well, then, let's check her bags and test that theory out, shall we?"

Okay, that was too far... You frown and would've gone ahead to stop the blogger from her actions by defending Sammy's innocence but it wasn't your place. Yasmina got in front of her to stop the girl in her tracks. "You do not get to go through anyone's stuff, look I don't care how famous you think you are!"

"Brooklynn, I did not-"

Your yellow jacket friend sighed. "Brooklynn, guys, come on! We can't be this upset over phones. Let's make the most of this incredible opportunity! This is Jurassic World! It's-It's-" Darius was interrupted by the sound of an animal or dinosaur roaring in the distance. This made all the kids freeze and look around on edge and confusion to where it came from. You glance at Bowman worriedly and bewilderedly.

"What was that?" Brooklynn spoke up and looked around the room.

"Um, a T.Rex?" Kenji's eyebrow was up as he got up from his swivel chair.

"Mm-mm. I don't think so..." Darius denied softly, shaking his head.

"Then what sort of dinosaur did it sound like? Friend-ish, foe-ish? " Ben questioned as he lowered his head behind the couch. As Yasmina went ahead walked out of the lounge and look out from the balcony. Followed by the others who were as curious and eager to discover this creature.

"Where's it comin' from?" Sammy asked, a little scared like Ben at the moment about the mystery animal or possibly something else.

Yasmina sighed as her hands gripped the railing. "Can't see anything from here. The trees are blocking everything..."

You shrugged and offered a guess. "Maybe they're moving a new dino from the lab to another enclosure?" Darius pasued at your words and gasped in realization. "We could probably see it from the observation tower! Could be cool." He offered with a soft smile to try and have fun even if kayaking wasn't an option anymore.

"Wow, that's a great idea, Darius! What are we waiting for?" Sammy chimed in excitedly as she pulled Bowman with her back inside the lounge to the elevator, but you seemed to notice a facade as it was like your friend was hiding something.

"Hey, we're not done talking about this yet!" Brooklynn called out and went after the two with Fudoula following suit to join in but also helping Sammy out.

"But, guys, it's Indoor Arts and Crafts Day!" Ben was still on the couch and being useful by making more drawings with the art supplies they were given. "Plus, we should stay and wait for Dave and Roxie, right, Kenji?"

"If you wanna stay here and draw you and your dino-crush, go for it. I'm gonna see a T.Rex or a girl fight... Either way, I win. Ka-ching!" Kenji fist-bumping the air in victory with a laugh as he went towards the elevator to the others, You rolled your eyes and leaned against the door frame of the balcony as Pincus shook his head gently with a disapproving look.

"Fine, go on! I'll just stay where we're supposed to be, wait for who we're supposed to see, and be right here we're supposed to be!" Ben huffed with his arms crossed and held his legs close to his chest with a frown, a few seconds later to glance around the place. It was quiet and not all that fun to be alone.

You walked over to him and laughed silently, nudged at the elevator. Then went ahead to where the others were and Pincus shuddered whilst exhaling a sharp breath "W-wait! Guys, I'm coming too!" Ben yelled and ran to the elevator, panting heavily as got there in time before the doors closed and they were off to the observation tower to investigate. 

But just as you all left, the walkie-talkie that your two counselors left went off with a beep. "Asset out of containment! Repeat, asset out of containment! Stay indoors. ACU is responding."

I am very excited to move forward into the *more* exciting parts that I envisioned in my head, which led to encouraging me to write my own Darius x Reader!!

What do ya'll think of the new book cover, I thought about changing it since it's been a while *cough* 2 to 3 years, give or take *cough* But give me your honest thoughts and opinions guys!!

I didn't know we were getting this!! But I am overall excited to play it once the game drops on Netflix!! Also, a cool birthday gift for me to have from the Camp Fam (my bday is on the 9th), so I can't wait!!
