Shivaay

I heaved a breath coming out of the meeting room. A problem has came up in mechanical sector. My head was throbbing in pain and my mood was also sour. Flexing my neck and rubbing my temple, I walked towards my cabin.

"Gauri send a cup of coffee and medicine for my headache, I will be in my cabin", I said and left to my cabin without listening to her.

Rubbing the temples, I walked inside my room groaning in pain, when I heard a voice.

"Shivaay?", I looked up and saw Annika standing there with a frown. A smile formed on my face seeing her with surprise.

"Annie?" she came to me and touched my head and neck and then signed in relief.

"What happened to you?", she asked me with concern in her eyes. I cupped her face seeing her getting hyper by passing seconds.

"It's nothing, just a mild headache. I was in a meeting and it spoilt my mood so that's why", I said caressing her cheeks with my thumb. She gets hyper and worried immediately.

"Oh god! That's why I say take rest between your work but you will of course not listen to me. Come!", She made me sit on my chair when Gauri knocked and then walked it.

"Why didn't you told me Annika is here?", I asked her.

"Before I could say you went, ab I can't shout from behind na", she said keeping a tray having my coffee and medicine in it. Annika took the medicine strip and checked it carefully before giving to me with the water.

"Gauri! Please cancel all the meetings of Shivaay", Annika said making me turn to her.

"Umm..", Gauri looked at me not understanding what to say.

"Annie but I've an important meeting after an hour", I said.

"It's not more important than your health right? Look at you, you look worn out! Take some rest Shivaay", Annika said with a worried frown on her face and felt happy seeing her concern towards me.

"Gauri.. cancel everything till lunch? I promise I will rest till then okay?", I said to Gauri and then turned to Annika who frowned but then signed.

"Fine! You've room in your cabin na, go rest there and don't have coffee, so much caffeine is not good for health", she said again while Gauri left from there smiling.

"Okay doctor now..", I got up and pulled her closer by her waist making her gasp and look at me.

"Why you came here?", I asked tenderly tucking her hair behind her ear. She blushed and held my arms.

"I was going from this route and we didn't met from past few days so I thought maybe I come and surprise you with visit", she said softly looking at me. I hummed and pecked her head softly pulling her closer to my chest hugging her. I'm falling hard for my girl.

My eyes went on her hand which was on my chest. There, was shining her engagement ring. I held her hand and pecked her ring and the finger. She lowered her eyes and her grip on my other arm increased.

I signed and decided to tell her. Parting, I cupped her cheeks.

"Annie I..I wanted to tell you something", I said fumbling a bit. She hummed nodding.

"Actually there's some issues in office, it want my presence so I need to fly to London", I said to see her smile falling a bit but then she nodded.

"It's okay, your work need you", she said bringing a smile for me on her face.

"For two weeks", I said and my heart sank seeing her face getting dull immediately. She looked down but then looked at me with a smile, which was totally fake.

"It's okay Shivaay.. anyways our functions were starting from last week of the month, you'll be back by then", she said but I just pulled her to my chest hugging her.

"I'm sorry. I know this was our spending time together phase but this work is really important, I can't even neglect even if I want. I'm sorry babe", I said wrapping arms around her shoulder.

Annika closed her eyes, wrapping arms around my back. I was feeling heavy inside for leaving her like this when our closeness are increasing. Never has these long business trips have affected me such like it is this time, the girl in my arms has great affect on me and bringing changes in me.

"Annie?", he said to which she hummed snuggling in him. He sighed and wrapped her tightly in his arms. She sighed after a while and parted from him. He tugged her hair behind her ear.

"It's okay Shivaay! You do your work and come back fast. I'll be waiting for you", she said, this time with genuine smile. I passed a sad smile and kissed her head nodding.

"If the work will end soon, I will come back soon. You know, before you came these trips meant nothing, I used to live months away from home for deals or meetings but I don't feel good now", I said caressing her hair bringing a smile on her face.

"I'm affecting I see", she teased trying to lighten the mood. I smiled lightly and cupped her face.

"A lot", I said smiling caressing her cheeks. She smiled widely.

"When will you be leaving?", she asked looking at me. My arms were wrapped around her lower back.

"Evening", I said and pressed my lips in a thin line seeing her eyes but she passed me a small smile.

"Then you should go home and rest and start your packing, I also got busy in this, your head was aching", she said slapping her head.

"Not anymore.. I feel good now", I said shaking my head. She smiled caressing my cheek. Our faces were just few inches away. Her doe shapes eyes, sculpted nose, parted lips were doing no help. I didn't realised when I leaned to her, her arms wrapped around me such that it looked we're in a hug. My eyes went to her parted lips which were looking so invited. Our close bodies were doing no help.

"What are you doing to me Annika?", I whispered, my hands moved to her nape. She was taking sharp intakes of breath while my heartbeat were also fast. I moved to her left cheek and kissed it. She clutched my coat tightly.

"How will I stay without seeing you for 2 weeks", I mumbled and kissed the right cheek. A beautiful blush crept on her cheeks. We both were looking in each other's eyes, deeply and intently. The tips of our nose were touching when we heard a voice.

"Bhai woh...oops sorry", we snapped immediately towards the door, startled to see Gauri standing there showing her back to us. Annika separated hurriedly from me blushing deeply looking down with closed eyes.

"Umm woh.. Gauri you can turn", I said little awkwardly rubbing my palm at the back of my nape. She shook her head and immediately left from there.

Annika covered her face blushing making me control my chuckle.

"Annie", I said gently in her ear making her jump and she looked at me with a glare and pink cheeks. I chuckled and pulled her in my arms.

"What would Gauri think! Idiot!", she said hitting on my chest. I snuggled her up in arms giggling and kissed her hair.

"We're newly engaged, developing feelings for us, relax", I said to which she frowned and parted from me.

"I need some promises from you", she suddenly said from nowhere. I got confused but nodded.

"Anything Annie", I said holding her left hand playing with the ring. It looks so beautiful in her hand.

"If I call you, please pick it up. Or even a message would work. Tell me that you're going for a meeting and I won't disturb you. Call me at least in morning and night Shivaay", she said little hesitantly and looked down. I cupped her face and made her chin up.

"Why are you hesitating saying this?", I asked softly.

"I don't want to be a clingy and disturbing fianceé", she mumbled making me frown.

"Really Annika! Clingy? Babe you've all rights on me now. As I said, you're mine, in same way I'm yours now and I understand your worry. I promise I will call you in intervals, I will message you and take care okay? Don't worry", I said to which she nodded and I kissed her head.

"I will leave now, I need to go hospital too", she said and I again felt heavy in my heart but nodded.

"B..bye Shivaay", she said. I caressed her cheek and kissed her hand.

"I'll be fine and don't worry, I will be back soon babe", I pecked her temple caressing her shoulder in a side hug.

She left from there giving me a last glance and my heart felt heavy. I turned away towards the window with a frustrated sigh. My headache started coming back. Just then my phone started ringing which I declined without seeing but it rang again just to increase my anger and I threw away my phone.

"Gauri to my office", I said through the intercom. She came inside immediately hearing my voice.

"All okay bhai?", she asked hurriedly.

"Cancel all my meetings today I'm not in the mood I'm going home", I said to which she nodded and walked out.

I too left for home after sometime. Khanna was waiting downstairs for me.

"Sir I will drive you to home", he said.

"I can drive myself khanna, don't worry I won't harm myself", I said understanding he's saying so seeing my anger. I don't know why I was feeling so enraged inside.

I drove to home in a high speed clutching the steering tightly. Somehow I reached home and saw everyone sitting in hall.

"Aree billu, you came early today", dadi asked me with a wide smile. I closed my eyes and controlled my anger. I can't snap on dadi.

"Nothing much dadi, work was less, my head was also aching so I came back, I will be in my room and yeah, I'm going to London for 2 weeks but don't worry I will come back before the ceremonies starts", I said and without listening to anyone went to my room.

Annika

I never thought anyone would become so special to me in just a span of 3 weeks that their departure, that too just for few days, would affect me so much.

As Shivaay broke the news to me about his trip to London, my heart sank. I suddenly felt like crying but controlled anyhow in front of him. I don't want him to worry or feel I'm coming between him and his work. The way he hugged me made me realise that I'm going to miss him a lot.

Passing a smile to Gauri, I came back from his office. As soon as I got down in my car, tears from my eyes started flowing themselves. I closed my eyes tightly wiping them away.

"Stop crying Annika! Don't be a fool. It's just span of 2 weeks, Shivaay is not leaving you! He'll be back", I scolded myself but again bursted in tears. I closed my eyes in order to calm myself.

Suddenly the moments from his cabin started running in my mind. The way he hugged me again and again, the way he kissed my cheeks. It was like he was melting me. I calmed down and opened my eyes. Gulping, I left for home. I informed Aisha to cancel the appointments of today as I was really not in a mood to work.

I reached home after an hour. Only mumma and dadi was sitting in hall. They smiled seeing me.

"Anu? You came early today", mumma asked to which I nodded smiling lightly.

"Great. Laado you're to go to your in-laws", partner said making me look at her confused.

"Why suddenly?", I asked.

"Actually your mother-in-law called, they want your bangle size and something more related to jewelry so she asked that if you could go to them now. Also, they're willing to see you", mumma said bringing a genuine light smile on my face.

"Okay mumma. I'll change and go", I said and rushed to my room. Taking a quick shower, I changed into a yellow kurti and jeans. Seeing the yellow colour, my mind went to Shivaay which again made me sad. I pouted but then calmed myself and brushing my hair, I left taking my phone.

"Bye mumma, bye partner", I bid bye to my ladies and left for Oberoi Mansion. Well, I don't feel anxious or nervous meeting them as they're really welcoming. They treat me like a daughter which really swells my heart everytime.

I reached Oberoi Mansion and parked the car near a black car. I saw Shivaay's bodyguard Khanna ji standing there.

"Ma'am? Welcome!", He said to which I smiled lightly and walked inside to be immediately pulled in a hug by a strong body which I realised is Rudy. I giggled and hugged him back.

"Hey Ru! how are you?", I asked patting his back and then parted to see his smiling face.

"I'm amazing bhabhi! We all were waiting for you only. I missed you soo much", he said pouting at last.

"Even I missed you", I said caressing his cheek. He's really a sweet boy!

"Where are others?", I asked as we walked to the center of hall. Before he could reply, I saw ma, badi ma and dadi coming there.

"Annika! Meri bachi! Finally you're here", ma said and I walked to them taking their blessings to which they took my in hugs.

"You don't have to touch our feet always Annika", dadi said caressing my cheek lovingly to which I nodded.

"Accha we wanted to make some jewelleries for you. Don't say anything, it's our love and blessings for you. We've called a jeweller and he must be coming in sometime", ma said and even stopped me before I could object making me nod.

"Bhabhi! Come till then I will show you home around", Rudy said excitedly to which I nodded.

"Haan beta, now it's your home too. Go around and see", badi maa said making me smile and I left with Rudy.

He started showing me around. He brought me to an area behind stairs which was filled with family photos. I smiled seeing them.

"Didn't you had office today Rudy?", I asked him as he took me upstairs.

"I had but then bhaiya cancelled the only meeting which I was going to attend with him so I came back", he said but suddenly a mischievous smile appeared on his face.

"Come I will show you your I mean, bhaiya's room?", He said making me blush lightly and he walked us to Shivaay's room.

We're in front of a door which I assumed to be his room's door and Rudy was going to open the door when suddenly door opened itself making me turn to it and my eyes widen.

"Shivaay", I whispered. Shivaay was standing there in front of me with equally shocked face. A smile broke on his face seeing me when we heard Rudy's voice.

"I guess bhaiya can show you his room so, tata bhabhi! I will see you later", he said and rushed away from there. I turned back to Shivaay to see him looking at me with a smile. A smile broke on my face and he pulled me inside the room.

"Annie you here?", he asked shocked and surprised with a wide smile.

"Ma called me, she wanted to take some measurements of jewelries", I said fumbling to him. He inched closer to me and pulled me in his arms hugging me tightly. I sighed hugging him back and smiled closing my eyes.

"God! How am I going to live without you there", he mumbled almost inaudible nuzzling to my hair. My breath hitched.

"Even I don't know", I said patting his back. He parted and kissed my head and either temples.

"I was missing you", he said pouting lightly making me smile softly.

"I won't lie, even I was missing you. I went home directly instead of hospital because of not having good mood", I said to which he held my hands.

"What were you doing?", I asked blushing as he kissed my hands.

"I was just packing the things and for that I was going to call Rudy for help when you and he came", he said.

"Come I help you then", I said and we took me to other side of room. It was a walk in closet. The one side of closet was filled with his suits and three pieces. One thing I realised is, he have a suit of every colour.

"I will take out some suits, just hold for a while?", he asked to which I nodded. He was giving me suits which I was holding when I looked at the other side of closet. It was totally cleared. I was looking at it when I felt his arm wrapping around me. I turned my head and looked at him.

"That side is yours, I had some things there but I cleared yesterday. I can't wait the day you'll fill your things there", he said softly. He was side hugging me to which I smiled.

"Even I can't", I said to which he smiled. I helped him in packing when we heard knock on door.

"Can we come in?", we heard Om's voice to which Shivaay said yes.

"Why did you both asked today?", Shivaay asked to which I nodded.

"Bhabhi was there, you both are alone in room so...", Rudy said in a teasing voice to which I looked away blushing.

"Bhabhi.. choti ma is calling you downstairs", Om said to which I nodded and excused from there.

Later, Annika and ladies of Oberoi family were seeing the jewelries, Annika told her taste, the sizes when Shivaay along with Om and Rudra walked downstairs. Behind them was a servant coming with his suitcase. Seeing this Annika's face fell down but she covered it.

"Shivaay take care okay? Medicine on time, all the meals on time. Gauri is also not coming with you else I would have not worried", pinki said worriedly making Shivaay smile and kissed her head.

"Don't worry I will take care of myself and haan, will call also", he said to which pinki smiled lightly and nodded. He took blessings for dadi and was walking outside followed by OmRu when he signalled Annika to come. She silently walked along with OmRu behind him.

"OmRu you wait in car, I'm coming", Shivaay said to which they nodded. As they went from there, he turned to Annika and pecked her palm.

"Take care okay! I will call you, message you, and will take care of myself too. Don't worry and miss me", he said making her chuckle at last.

"I will think about missing you", she said to which he frowned slightly but then hugged her sideways and kissed her hair.

"Bye", he said with a sad smile to which she smiled widely for him.

"Bye! I'm good don't worry", she said to which he smiled and nodded. Giving her a last quick hug, he left with Om and Rudra. She looked at the car going with a sad smile and then walked inside.
