Jealousy

Raven and Damian had been planning a mall day for what seemed like ever. But it had all been torn to shreds when Raven had wandered away from Damian.

He looked around the whole floor for her, but couldn't find her. He had been starting to get worried when he caught glace of her dark hair in a coffee shop window. She looked to be talking to another guy.. And laughing.

A rage had built in Damian's chest. Up until now, he had been the only person to make her laugh. And, while he hadn't just yet admitted it, he definitely had growing feelings for Raven. Raven was supposed to be his. Not to some random guy she had met in a mall.

Damian approached the two, crossing his arms, "We need to go, Raven."

Raven nodded and got up. She flashed a smile to who she was talking and grabbed the cup of tea he had bought her. Before she could say anything, Raven's arm was grabbed and she was dragged out of the scene. Damian, too jealous to say anything, simply led her around the mall without a word.

Raven had no clue as to why he was acting this way. He rarely found the power in himself to get angry at Raven. And she hated it when he was angry at her, it made her feel small for once. But she simply assumed it was hormones and shrugged it off.

After another half hour, they had been through the whole first floor, still in silence. Damian decided to check the second floor. They entered the elevator and waited.

Raven, in all honesty, had genuinely wanted to cry. She didn't know what she did and Damian's attitude towards her was unusual and foreign. He had never acted this way towards her and she didn't like it. At all.

Yet she chose not to say anything. A quietly angered Damian was bad enough. She didn't need him to blow up at her and see her cry for the first time.

Damian practically broke the button for the elevator. He would've just left, but he didn't want to endure an awkward car ride with her. They entered the elevator, when up a few feet, then abruptly stopped.

Damian groaned, avoiding eye contact with Raven. But that's when she decided to finally speak up.

"What the hell, Damian!" She yelled, "Why do you hate me all of a sudden?"

"It's exactly the opposite, Raven." Damian mumbled, quiet enough so she hadn't heard it. He faced Raven and spoke, "You were laughing, Raven."

"Because god forbid we've been planning a whole day to be regular kids for forever and I decide to laugh at one point!"

"Ever since now, I've been the only person to make you laugh, and that means a lot to me.. even if you don't realize!"

"A guy.. decided to buy me tea.. and told me a single joke.. and I put on a fake laugh.. and you start hating me over that!" Raven paused between every few words to make an emphasis on her point.

"He was flirting with you, Raven! Are you too ignorant to realize that?"

She scoffed and crossed her arms. She couldn't believe Damian seriously just called her ignorant. "So what if he was? Who cares?"

"I do! What if you were to fall for him?"

"Who cares, Damian, who honestly cares!"

"Wanna know the truth?"

"Well, I damn well wouldn't want a lie!"

"I like you, Rae.. I really do."

"And I like you too, Damian! Yet when I see a girl making eyes at you, I don't act like a completely different person!" She then blushed, realizing her words.

Damian smirked, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall of the elevator, "So you like me."

"You like me, what's your point." Raven rolled her eyes.

"My point is.. if you talk to a different guy, and said guy makes you laugh.. then don't expect me not to get jealous or mad.." He shrugged, "But, in light of this recent discovery, I think I can hold off."

"You're so stupidly extra."

"So I've been told." He smirked, that cocky little smirk he pulled off so well. "But you still like me, though."

"I hate you."

"You couldn't if you tried." He pulled her in closer to him and kissed her gently.

Then, the elevator began to move again.

He let go of her then nonchalantly strolled out of the elevator. But Raven lagged behind him, in a small daze then muttered out.

"You sure are a character, Damian Wayne.."
