ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ꜱɪxᴛᴇᴇɴ : ᴇᴘɪʟᴏɢᴜᴇ

Serena is leaving camp soon. She has to pack all of her stuff since she'll be sent back to her father's house. Then, he'll send her off to boarding school a few days before the school year actually starts. She shoves a pack of Starbursts candy she got from the convenience store into her bag when she recognizes a mysterious figure standing at the doorway of her cabin. It's Kronos.

"What do you want," Serena expresses, pulling out her sword.

"Just know, I'm after you," Kronos says eerily. "You'll see me again."

"I don't care right now, get out of my dreams!"

She wakes up and rubs her eyes with her hands, her ring slightly poking her in the eye. Percy remembered to give the ring back at the welcome back party. It's the day that Serena leaves for home. Her bag is fully packed. She lugs her bag out of the cabin when she notices Chiron standing there.

"Oh, hi Chiron!" Serena exclaims cheerfully.

"You're extra cheery today. Excited for home?" Chiron asks.

"Yes, definitely. I get to finally get the normal-ish teen life I've always wanted," Serena expresses, setting her black duffel bag on a decorative chair outside of Aphrodite's cabin. Chiron smiles at her.

"I just wanted to say to you how proud I am of you," Chiron acknowledges. "You've definitely grown on the quest and changed for the better. I'm super proud of you." Serena's face lights up even more than she thought was possible.

"Thanks Chiron!" Serena replies, flattered at the compliment. She did agree, she's changed an awful lot since the taxi ride. And she's seen growth in herself mentally.

Serena rests her head gently on Thalia's tree. She never knew the daughter of Zeus, but she wishes she did. She just sounds so cool.

"How you feeling about all of this? You know, you going to boarding school with Maisia and Savanna," Percy asks, sitting down next to the daughter of Aphrodite.

"I'm feeling nervous, blondie. But, it will be a fresh start. My dad's gonna take me to Korea for a little while. I'll probably see my family, but you know, it's gonna be fun. As long as no monsters follow me. Will they-"

Just...be a kid." Serena stands up and reaches for Percy's hand. He takes it and smiles.

"Guys! Guys!" Grover shouts, running up to the future couple. Serena gasps and grins.

"You got it?" Serena questions. Grover nods.

"Where is it?" Percy asks. Grover opens his jacket and reveals a blooming, green flower. "Oh, woah. Is that your Searcher's license?"

"Yeah," Grover responds excitedly. "Officially authorized to begin the quest for Pan!"

"Where are you gonna start?" Percy wonders.

"Well, it seems like every inch of the natural world's been checked, noted, and footnoted. Then checked again," Grover explains. "The council's theory is that Pan is always on the move, and it's all about timing. But, no one's ever bothered to check the seas."

"I know some people in management out there, if you ever need some help," Percy jokes.

"I'll find you," Grover finishes. The three of them smile at each other.

"Listen, Let's make a pact. Right now," Percy expresses. "No matter what happens, we meet back here next year. All of us. Right here. Deal?" Grover and Serena look at each other and grin. Percy and Serena interlock eyes and go in for a group hug, laughing lightly. The three of them let go and smile. You would think that Serena would hate to be friends with them. But, this quest didn't just show her relatives how important Aphrodite's kids are. It showed herself how capable she is at being looked up upon, and she enjoys it a lot more than just glory.
