- Chapter 10 :

I closed my eyes, settled into the bed that closed around me, my body sinking into its warmth. My hair was splayed across the pillows and my limbs were as well, my head turning towards the window.

I still remembered how Yoongi held me and looked at me. I'd always been afraid of him, and I still was— but staring into his eyes like that told me something.

He was a human too.

Even under that cold cascade he hid under, there was warmth bubbling inside of him. He truly was a caring and loving person. And not only that but, he was hurt as well.

Somewhere deep in his eyes, I could see the pain. The pain of rejection, of loss, of life. It gave me a better visual of Yoongi, I understood that somehow we both were alike. In some distant way.

Of course the moment had ended and Yoongi had pushed me away, his eyes once more cold and icy. He turned without saying a word and left the room in that moment, not even sparing me a glance.

I had no specific take on that. But somewhere in my heart, I felt pained to see him close up again. I wanted to see him warm and loving again. I wanted to open him up and not let him close.

I wanted to know who Min Yoongi really was.

However I also knew that those feelings were dangerous. I'd felt this pain before, and yet I was attracted again. I restlessly tosses in the bed, wondering when I could visit the hospital next. I had to get that medication. I had to live long enough to figure out the puzzle known as Min Yoongi.

For now, that's what would keep me going. Plus, I had to show my gratitude to these boys. Even if it meant working as a maid, I'd do it.

I frowned at the ceiling, thinking about all the change I'd undergone in the past few days. It wasn't normal, it wasn't good. I didn't want to lose myself.

I sighed and got up, not able to sleep. I knew tossing around wouldn't help me either. I gingerly snuck out of the room and close through the corridor, my feet trained to make no sound.

I took a straight right and paused, appalled. The family room war garnished with a large window that held the city below. The inky blue sky was sporting a humongous full moon, its shine illuminating its vicinity.

A small gasp ripped from my lips as I edged towards the window and placed my hands on the window sill, searching the night for more and more. The moon was calling to me, it's beautiful shape casting a spell on me.

I wanted to be free at that moment. Without any problems or diseases or anything. I just wanted to be normal.

normal

normal

But that wasn't possible for the likes of me.

And all together, the moon suddenly lost its beauty. I stepped back, eyes cold as the world seemed black and white to me.

This was how it was meant to be anyways.

Yoongi was biting his lip in his bed as he placed his phone onto the table next to him. He couldn't sleep for sure tonight.

Images of Jihee with his clothes on kept flashing into  his mind, her wide eyes, red lips, damp hair. Even when he'd stared into her eyes, he felt connected with her. However he knew he had to face reality.

So he broke away and left her there.

He knew her pain was too deep to do anything, but he still wanted to help her. He wanted to be able to see her genuinely smile. His eyes flashed as he realized why he was so curious about Jihee.

He wanted to know more about her. He wanted to know about her family, her life, her friends, how she looked when she smiled.

He didn't like how Jihee was able to make it into their dorms in such a small amount of time and from the looks, Jihee didn't like it either. Understanding her would balance it out, Yoongi reasoned with himself.

He drowsily got up, throat parched as he padded to the kitchen to search for water. He passed the family room and abruptly stopped when seeing a large shadow on the carpet. He looked up with a straight face and found her.

"What are you doing now?" He raised in a low voice. Jihee jumped and turned around, her eyes frightened— again, as she calmed herself. "I-I" Yoongi held up and hand telling her to shut up as he kept walking.

Seeing her in his clothes was disturbing him. He reached the kitchen and reached for the nearest glass, patting his neck in an attempt to help the dryness.

"Shit!" He cursed once the glass slipped from his hand, falling onto the ceramic floor below. The crash wasn't as loud as he thought it would be, but it was definitely not silent either. Yoongi quickly crouched to clean up his mess, only to have it backfire when a small shard duh into his skin, leaving crimson drops of liquid to fall out.

Yoongi hears a noise and found Jihee arrive, confused on the sound. As soon as she spotted his dilemma, she held her hand up and sprinted past him, searching.

"Jihee go back to—" Yoongi was cut off short when Jihee silenced him, placing a wet cloth onto his finger before bringing out a bandage. Yoongi studies her actions, seeing how gentle she was being, as if she wasn't even touching him.

She finished wrapping his finger and finally looked down to the mess. "I can help you clean." She sighed before yelping. Yoongi looked down and deadpanned when he saw a few cuts on her finger.

"Sit here, I'll get the cloth." He mused, smiling a little as he got up and left Jihee sitting, flustered and embarrassed.
