When he ran into Wreck-it-Ralph upon stepping out of the elevator, Jungkook believed he had arrived at the wrong venue. Pulling out his phone, he checked the email he had received which included an invitation to the company's Halloween Party, and confirmed this was indeed the place.

Then his eyes scanned over the text once more and deciphered the word costume which, Jungkook could have sworn, had not been there when he first read it. Why had his brain only registered that very crucial, very important information just now?

This was a costume party.

And there he was, in his black outfit and matching glasses, looking utterly out of place among the crowd of video game characters—some of which honestly looked like cosplayers—enjoying free booze and loud music.

Jungkook, who had started working at Vantex two short weeks prior, did not think anyone would notice if he simply turned around and pretended he'd never been here in the first place.

That's when a colleague of his wearing a Sims LED Plumbob headband—and whose name he couldn't remember—tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey! QA tester!" (The guy obviously didn't remember Jungkook's name either.) "So glad you could make it! Get yourself a drink, right over there!"

Pulling him by the arm, the dude brought him to the bar before vanishing (except for the LED above his head) into the dancing crowd. Jungkook ordered a Caipirinha. One drink wouldn't hurt, and then he'd be out of here. The icy glass was placed before him and he took a sip, letting the sweet freshness tingle his taste buds.

"One martini, please," said a deep, familiar voice. Kim Taehyung. The successful young CEO Jungkook had the pleasure to work for.

The game tester glanced sideways, trying to catch a glimpse of the man who was known for his good looks, and almost choked on his drink.

How could he be wearing mouse ears and still look hot af?

Jungkook was baffled. It must have somehow shown for the man returned his glance. "Hey."

"Good evening, sir."

"No need to be so formal tonight. It's a party after all."

"Right. Thank you for inviting me by the way."

Taehyung shrugged. "All employees were invited."

"Still, it's an honour. To work for you I mean."

The young CEO smiled and to Jungkook, it looked genuine. And even a tiny bit playful. "What are you dressed as, if you don't mind me asking?"

Jungkook bit his lips. He couldn't possibly admit he'd forgotten to dress up so he blurted the first thing his panicked brain managed to come up with on the spot. "Well, obviously, I can only be the very gay—and very smitten—CEO's PA."

The cheeky remark paid off. They started dating shortly after.
