"Ms Coxe's dog — room 54 — did a number two. Again."

Kim Taehyung, who was on his way out, stalled. "Room 54. As in the newly renovated room 54?"

"Precisely."

The young Guest Relations Manager rolled his eyes in annoyance. "Of course. Remind me why she was given that particular suite and not one without carpet?"

"It was her request. Says she has 'memories' there."

The man closed his fists in an attempt to get his irritation under control and let out the heaviest and loudest sigh ever. "Have the housekeeping supervisor handle this. I have a coffee break to take."

"The problem is, Ms Coxe won't leave her room for staff to do their thing."

Looking at his watch, Taehyung made the executive decision to lure the guest out with a free meal. "Inform her that she has until 10:30 AM to enjoy Ducasse's brunch on the house."

And with that, he headed out.

Namjoon's café was only a five-minute walk away, but the young man hurried nonetheless, not willing to take a chance and show up late, for he would be missing Jeon Jungkook's pre-coffee morning face (his favourite sight in the whole world).

"You're early!" he almost yelled upon arrival, seeing Jungkook already sipping on his noisette.

"What's it to you?" replied the young concierge, still grumpy from the early start.

Taehyung was used to that cold shoulder. But he wouldn't skip their daily coffee dates for the world (despite being painfully aware of the fact that he was the only one calling their supposedly fortuitous meetings dates).

Namjoon shook his head behind the counter. "You both work at the best hotels in town, yet you insist on coming here every single day to drink my slightly-above-average coffee. It would be nice to notice some progress in that relationship of yours."

Jungkook almost choked on his espresso. "Relationship?"

"I said what I said and if you can't see it, then I don't know what to do." The man turned around and went back to wiping the already spotless countertop.

Taehyung decided Namjoon was right. This 'thing' had gone on long enough. "Come work at the Plaza with me," he asked, smile wide but also surprisingly shy.

"Why would I do that? I like my job at George's. The guests there are less fussy than yours, I hear."

Ouch. Rejection hurt. But Taehyung was tenacious. Plus he still had a few good arguments up his sleeve. "Your guests tip less too. Also, I wouldn't have to come here every day and pretend I like coffee just to see you."

There it was. The timid but warm grin which would spread on the young concierge's features whenever Taehyung was being flirty with him.

Jungkook decided to play along. "Would you be my boss then?"

Taehyung was all smiles. "François is retiring next month. They've been interviewing potential candidates, but none of them have your — professionalism. If you let me, I could recommend you most eloquently. So, what do you say?"

Damn. Why was Taehyung so pretty?

And why was Jungkook's heart so weak for pretty things?
