Driving into the school's premises, you could see "Hilton College" so bold  on the huge pillars, close to the gate.
The security men, who were majorly at the gate post. Mostly sat close to the gate, while few were seen wandering around.

Hilton College was one of the biggest school's in Port-Harcourt. A school where son's and daughters of Ministers, commissioners, business tycoons, you could name them, attended. It was a school meant for the rich. The middle class could only afford to attend, with the aid of a scholarship.

Students of the schools weren't only Nigerians but from different African countries. They had more of half breeds than the whites. Only that blacks were in large numbers, and dominated.

You could see the tall buildings while driving in. Differents trees planted, trimmed flowers. The school spelt wealth.

She leans onto the passenger seat, bitting her fingernails nervously.
Returning to school could be fun for some students, but to Cherish it wasn't. She always wished for holidays, resuming school was just something which spoilt her mood, in all, there was someone she was looking forward to seeing, at least with Zara around, she wouldn't be lonely.

She didn't get the vibe of a new session, neither the fact she was now in senior secondary school moved her. There was no difference to her, so long as those devilish seniors were still ahead of her.

She didn't have many friends, Maybe it was because of the way she was brought up, she had a single Dad. Her Mum died when she was still a kid, her parents weren't married though.

Her Dad finally got married six years ago, she didn't know her mother, currently she had a step mum, whom she referred to as Mum and a younger brother who was just five years old.

She was mostly indoors whenever she was home, no friends, just her phone and music, she loved dancing, music was her thing, so she spent most of her time doing that.

"Cherish!" Light calls out calmly, making his daughter turn to him calmly. "What's wrong?" He asks calmly.

She hesitates a while, before picking up her bag pack, her Dad had already pulled over. She could see the admission block from where they were.

"If anyone tries to bully you this term, make sure to let me know, I will go over to make a complaint to
the princ.., "

"I will just talk to Jewel!" Cherish says calmly. She didn't want her Dad going over to the principal office, it would just worsen everything, especially when she is asked to point out the person's who were doing so.

Most SS3 students just enjoyed picking on the junior students. Although certain things weren't allowed to be practised in the school. Teachers weren't allowed to flog students, just a few punishments were allowed, senior's weren't allowed to punish students unless they were prefects, and flogging students by Prefects were prohibited.

So whatever they were doing, to her wasn't punishment but bullying. To her, she was quite unfortunate, she didn't know why some Senior's
hated her for no reason, worse still they were the ones giving the best posts.

She hardly spoke to anyone, except Zara, so why hate her, when she hasn't crossed your parts?

"Be good!" Light says now, scattering her hair, bringing a smile on her face, he was fond of
doing that.

"My hair!" She says now chuckling.

"Won't you sign in?" She suddenly asks, that was part of the reason's he brought her, he had to sign in.

"Let's go!" He says opening the door, she does the same too. Shutting her eyes immediately she got out, the sun was too much, which marvelled her, because of the heavy rain which poured a few hours back. Her skin and sun weren't friendly, It always seemed like she was turning red.

She loved her skin because it was spotless, but most times wondered how it would have looked with spots.

She was light-skinned, her dad looked like a half-caste, she took after him, but neither of them were half-castes, although her Grand-Dad was.

Trying to shade herself out of the sun, she watches her Dad pull her suitcase from the boot, without uttering a word. Looking around the school premises, she could already see most students loitering, she let out a small smile,  at least most of the SS3 students hadn't resumed yet, to start exercising their powers on people.

Pulling his phone closer, he lets out a small smile, currently he was chatting with a particular girl, and the fact she had started falling for his charms without him making an effort, made him extremely happy.

The plan was, bang her as soon as school resumes, she was a junior student though, an SS2 student, he
cared less, the only thing he needed was drilling her pussy.

"Ashley!" His Mum's voice blast into his ears, he felt his phone been yanked away from his hands, making him to turn to his mother looking confused and also surprised. Wondering when she got there without his notice.

"If I leave this house today, you would have to wait for your grand-ma because I won't drive you to that school, no matter what," Fisayo says, slightly provoked.

"I will enjoy the rest of the term in the house then!" He mutters, hoping she didn't hear it though, the look she gave him, meant she did.

"Eat that food before.., "

"Mummy!" He could hear his younger's sister Nicole's voice. One Last glance at him, his Mum attempts to walk away.

Letting out a small hiss, he pulls his plate closer, grudgingly. He wasn't even hungry, the only thing which forced him to resume today, if not he would have loved to give himself one more week holiday, was the fact he was supposed to address the students, on the first day of resumption, as the senior prefect boy.

"Let's start going!" His mum says now taking the plate of food away.

"Mum! I haven't started!" He retorts, wondering where she got out from, he could see Nicole from a distance.

"And you aren't going to," Fisayo says sternly, he watches her walk down to the island, it doesn't take her a minute to empty the whole food into the garbage.

Ashley wasn't surprised. There was nothing his mother wasn't capable of doing, she had done worse things.

"I would tell grand-ma you refused to give me anything to eat!" Ashley says looking grim, although he was sounding childish, he didn't care, his Mum was capable of making him go crazy.

"Before you turn me into a madwoman, I would turn you into a mad man first," Fisayo responds.

"My friend get up from there and go get your things, you aren't ready to eat." Fisayo threatens, meanwhile Ashley stared back at her without moving.

"Mummy!" He could hear his younger's sister Nicole's voice. One last glance at him, his Mum walks away, also holding his phone.

He and his Mum always acted drama, and this was the least of it. He wasn't hungry, but there was no way he wasn't going to create a false to get on her nerves.

"Ashley!" Fisayo calls out looking grim, when he doesn't respond, she lets out a small chuckle. "Nicole
let's go. Better get ready to wait for you grandma!" With that, she walks out of the sitting room.

He knew she meant it, and knowing his grand-ma. She wouldn't be back till next week, the woman loved vacations.

And he did trust his mother's words. She wasn't joking. She knew he had no choice, since his parents
or guardian were expected to sign in.

"I'm coming!" He calls out grudgingly.

"Your problem!" He heard his Mum calls out.

They lived with his grandma, his Dad's mother. He didn't know his dad personally, he had only seen him in pictures, he and Nicole took after him, especially his skin colour, his Dad was fair-skinned, just like their grandma, neither of them looked like his mother.

Like his Grandma would always say, he acted a lot like his Dad, but he never knew him, his mother never talked about his Dad while he was growing up though. And whenever he brought up the topic, she always brushed it away. Since his Dad wasn't dead, he wondered why he didn't know him, also they were staying with his grandma, so what was the issue?

It was of recent he found out, his Dad had been in prison since he was a kid, his Mum never talked about him, so he never knew anything about his Dad, growing up, he always wanted a Dad, his friends always talked about there fathers, he had nothing to talk about, his Dad was neither dead or alive to him.

Before now, he thought maybe his Dad abandoned them and took off with another woman, but of recent
he found out, his Dad was neither married to his mother, or taken off with another woman, he was in prison.

Picking up, his bag pack, he grudgingly walks out of the kitchen.

"Ashley, you are a big problem!" He heard his mum yell.

"Daddy!" Geraldine whines immediately she gets out of the car, her Dad was already shutting his
door.

"Now, I don't know the difference between you and your mother, always looking for reasons to extort money," Tari says, meanwhile Geraldine pouts.

Whenever she demanded for things, her Dad always linked her to her mother, although she knew it was just an exaggeration.

She did demand for things, but the necessary once, her mum demanded for both necessary and unnecessary, so she and her mother weren't alike in that aspect, she disagreed.

"Daddy, just extra money on top..., "

"Extra money on top?" Tari chides.

"What do you need the extra money on top for?" Tari asks facing her. Meanwhile, Geraldine who had no response, because she had no reason, stared back at her Dad.

She just felt like requesting for more money.

"Gidi!" Someone calls out, making Geraldine turn around, she caught sight of Nengi and a boy she didn't recognise, she just lets out a small
smile, waving at him.

"All this fine boys, hope they aren't disturbing you?" Tari finally asks in a carefree manner, now bringing
out his phone from the pocket, immediately Geraldine turns around. She knew he was trying to
change the topic and mock her.

She was close to her mum, but closer to her Dad, things she couldn't tell her mother, she found it easier telling her Dad, her Dad was more than everything to her, he always called her, his last wife.

Her Dad spoke to her freely, he talked about anything to her, there was no topic he didn't bring up.

She could recall how embarrassed
she was, when her Dad asked if she was still a virgin out of the blues, that was last year. They were just watching a movie, something that had to do with premarital sex and all that.

She could talk to him about anything, but wasn't comfortable with that question, if it was asked by her mother, it would have been least embarrassing.

Her Dad was always plain with questions, she could remember when he asked one of her male friends in church, if he was her boyfriend, from that day, she stopped hanging around him, whenever her Dad was closer.

"Daddy na!" She pleads.

"Geraldine Johnsons!" She recognized the voice immediately. Miss Chisom, the youngest teacher
she had seen in the school. There was the way she carried herself, which made students gossip about
her, like she was the only beautiful person, who existed on the planet, She was beautiful, but her behaviour was too much.

Geraldine wasn't a fan of her, but most times, you just have to pretend even though you don't like someone, especially when the person is your English teacher.

"Ma!" Geraldine responds, turning to her direction.

"Hello, Mister!" Miss Chisom says immediately she noticed Tari, simply ignoring Geraldine. Also, she
was using her diction properly,  smiling too.

"Hi!" Tari responds, looking from his daughter, who had an amused expression on her face, down to the
lady in front of him.

"Your niece here is one of my favorite students!" Miss Chisom concludes, making Tari and Geraldine spare each other a knowing glance. None of them
utters a word. Geraldine watches Miss Chisom wondering when she became her favourite student.

Meanwhile, Miss Chisom, who wasn't comfortable with the silence, decides to say something else.

"I love your outfit though!" Now that was the height of it. Geraldine watches her Dad smile at her
compliment. It wasn't funny anymore, seeing her teacher trying to flirt with her Dad.

Thanks, you look good.., " His ringtone suddenly cuts him off.

"Sorry, I need to take this!" He says now excusing himself.

"That's my Dad, not my Uncle!" Geraldine blurts out without thinking. She didn't know why she felt the need to inform her, besides she didn't' like their behaviour towards each other, she could see the surprise on Miss Chisom's face.

"Your Dad? You have a Mum too?" Now that question was ridiculous, she didn't expect such a dumb question, from Almighty Miss Chisom.

"Yes, I have a Mum," Geraldine responds wondering if she was expecting her mother to be dead.

"Oh! I thought he was your uncle! Really?" Miss Chisom asks with a small smile.

"Yes, and my parents are married!" Geraldine responds, she didn't mind the fact she was sounding
ridiculous. But she just needed to say it, the felt the need to tell her.
