"No!" She says hastily, he didn't miss how tensed she was.

This felt weird to him. He saw her seated on his favourite spot, at first he wanted to walk out. But on a second thought, he wanted to ask her what she wanted to tell him the other.

He knew she wanted to say something, but because of Ekanem's presence, backed out.

If there was something he noticed since he joined the school, it was the fact both girls weren't friends.

He slowly seats on the opposite chair, looking away from her. There is a sudden silence. If the was want thing he observed, it was how uncomfortable she was around him.

This was new, because she always had an insulting thing to say to him. She couldn't even make an eye contact with him, not to talk about making a statement.

"I won't be available today, just wanted to tell you, matron set me up for something." She blurts out. Jayden didn't miss how anxious she seemed, they hadn't really made an eye contact.

He doesn't respond, there is a sudden silence. Meanwhile, his eyes meets the equation on her note. He immediately noticed she was solving it wrong.

"You missed it when you used x as the..., " He stops now pulling the note closely. The three questions, he noticed she made the same mistake over and over again.

"Whenever you get to this point, it's multiplication, that's why you keep getting it wrong." He says.

He could feel her staring at the note.

"But Mr John said, we subtract when we get to this point." He heard her says slowly. Now he understood where her confusion was coming from.

"That was because it was 0," Jayden says, now explaining it in the way she could, meanwhile she silently listened.

If there was something he noticed, there was tension between them. Since he apologised to her.

Her behaviour towards him had changed. It wasn't the usual trying to insult him with any opportunity she got. She was unusually quiet.

It just made the tension between them higher. He only apologised because he knew that was what she wanted, and did that to stop the unnecessary bickering, but it just seemed to have made tension rise between them. He didn't know if he preferred it the way it used to be, or now.

Cherish tries making a design on the dress she drew on her note, while she hummed some song. She wasn't comfortable where she was, and it he didn't come in the next five minutes, she was going to leave.

School had been over for more than forty minutes, she had waited behind for her classmates to leave and when she noticed the classrooms were getting empty, before she found her way into the agric lab.

Ashley had asked her to see him later, and she wouldn't deny the fact she didn't want to retire to the hostel yet, he created an escape route for her. Since her encounter with Senior Eva, she had been scared of facing her.

Funny enough the one person who would have noticed her always staying back didn't. The only time she saw Zara was in class and in the hostel. After school,l she always disappeared to God knows where, during prep was the worst. Cherish couldn't place her hands on what her best friend had been up to lately.

"Boom!"

Cherish screams, and turns around holding her chest.

"Jesus," Ashley exclaims moving back. "Was it really scary?" Ashley asks with a smile, meanwhile she doesn't hide her frown.

It wasn't funny, she almost lost her breath.

"I don't like that." She says honestly. She noticed his facial expression changed immediately.

"I'm sorry." He apologizes. The look he gave her, got her feeling bad for the way she sounded.

There is a sudden silence.

"I didn't think you would come," Ashley says looking down, meanwhile she slowly tries summoning the courage to look at his face, which was getting difficult by the day.

"When will you be going back to the hostel?" Ashley asks pulling a seat very close to her. Which made her start feeling hot, all of a sudden.

"Once I finish my homework." Cherish suddenly says pulling her bag pack closer, suddenly remembering she had an assignment, which would save her from having to avoid eye contact with him, while he talked. Because he always did most of the talking, while she listened contributing little or nothing.

Most times she wondered if he never got bored of talking to her.

"What's your favourite colour?" Ashley suddenly asks, making Cherish stop writing for a moment.

"Ash!" She responds slowly.

"Ash?" Ashley asks, giving her a weird look. "Who likes ash, I mean ash colour, not my Ash." He chuckles.

Cherish couldn't help but chuckles at his last statement.

"Your birth month?" He asks slowly.

"April." She responds by abandoning her homework because she couldn't do it and talk to him at a time.

"Your favourite food?" He asks slowly making her wonder why he was asking all these questions.

"How did you do it?" Munachi says staring at Geraldine's assignment amused. Meanwhile, Geraldine doesn't make any statement. The last thing she wanted to do was talk about Jayden.

The fact she had accepted that she had a little crush on him and was always fantasising about him was enough. She didn't want to start a conversation about him with her friends.

"Gidi."

She recognized the voice that instant. Another person she had been having naughty thoughts about.

"Jason." She calls out sharply, her attention on him, she also noticed her friends gave him their full attention.

Now it dawned on her, she was having wrong thoughts about two brothers, which was very wrong. But she couldn't stop having nasty thoughts of them. Last night she had a dream where she was making out with Jayden. She woke up and slept back again, only to have a dream where she and Jason was lurking lips.

This was crazy, she wasn't sent to school for this. She was losing focus, now seeing Jason all of a sudden, sent chills into her system.

"Please, can we talk?" Jason asks.

Geraldine didn't miss how serious he looked.

"Yes." She says getting up without thinking.

In less than a minute, she walks away. behind him.

"You don't like him." Munachi suddenly says to Nengi more like a statement, not a question.

"You want her. It's obvious." Munachi chuckles, meanwhile Nengi lets his eyes bulge out.

"No... No, I don't, " Nengi stammers defensively. Meanwhile, Munachi chuckles.

"Do you even believe yourself?" She asks and laughs.

"You have been here, but she doesn't seem to notice you. It's not like you aren't cute or something you know." Munachi says looking grim.

"Stop saying nonsense." Nengi defends.

"You can always scatter anything between them you know. You don't take chances if you want something. I really think you both would look cool together." Munachi says, meanwhile Nengi swallows a lump in his throat.

Geraldine stops walking immediately Jason suddenly came to a stop. The look on her face displaced uncertainty, it was oblivious she was wondering what was going on with him. She had never seen him this serious. Besides he wasn't the type to interrupt her when she was with her friends. He always backed off.

"What's wrong?" She asks immediately, observing him closely. Firstly he looked disturbed, another fact was she couldn't tell why.

"Emm, see." He paused, making Geraldine stare at him, she noticed he was trying to avoid eye contact.

"Jason?" Geraldine calls out confused. She noticed him pause a bit, before responding and the say time hurrying away.

"It's nothing." He says and starts hurrying away.

"Jason!" Geraldine calls out very confused. She didn't hide how confused she looked.

Jason talks to Geraldine, he seemed like he wanted to say something serious, when she smiled, he was only skilled and said never mind.

"Jason!" She calls out again, confused.

What just happened?

She couldn't understand.

As usual, Cherish waits for every member of her classmates to leave, and for every classroom to get empty, before heading to the agric lab.

Yesterday she didn't stay behind, when she got to the hostel, a part of her wanted to come back. Although he did all the talking, and she only talked when he compelled her to, she found his company enjoyable. She had no one to talk to other than Zara, and for the past few weeks, it seemed like Zara wasn't that close to her anymore. She wouldn't lay much emphasis on that, because it's someone you actually saw you could analyze. Zara was now like a ghost, more like she was disappearing and reappearing to Cherish.

Cherish suddenly halts immediately she walks into the laboratory. Shocked and taken off guards she
hits a stool.

Immediately Ashley and Ukeme disengages, that moment Ashley gets up and pulls his trousers up, he looked shocked by her presence.

If there was one thing that got stuck in her head and made her very embarrassed, it was the fact she saw him, when we mean him, she was referring to his dick.

This wasn't the first time she was catching people in the act, but this was the first time she had seen a girl sucking on a guy.

If there was something she couldn't do, it was making an eye contact with him ever again, it was pretty difficult for her before now, and also not after what she just saw, she was very embarrassed, and he ought to be, because she didn't only see it, she had the image stuck.

Cherish jerks out of her thoughts by Ukeme's voice. Frightened by the sound of her voice, she turns around and runs off.

"If you like go out talking rubbish, once I am done with you eh."

Cherish heard Ukeme says while she hurried out.

Immediately she gets to a corner, she leans on the wall. Remembering Ashley was there and was silent all through, she walks into an empty class and sits down. She wasn't ready to go back to the hostel.

She slowly fiddles with her fingernails.

Jewel plays with her bracelet, while her mind drifts back to Nathan and the fact he went back home. She wasn't angry that he didn't let her know, she only wondered why he went home so urgently. She assured herself, he might have been in a hurry, that he forgot to tell her.

Because she was wondering why she hadn't seen him for a day or so, but couldn't bring herself to ask his friends, she only overhead the info from a junior student.

Suddenly feeling someone had joined her, that she wasn't the only one In the empty classroom, she turns around immediately, only to see Leo leaning close to the door and looking at her.

She only adjusts and looked away. Since she cleared the fact there could be nothing between them, they hadn't talked.

She could feel his stares, even though she wanted to look over in his direction to confirm what he was doing there, she held herself strongly not too. Suddenly she starts hearing movements.

"Back to ignoring each other again," Leo says, she couldn't tell how far he stood away from her because she wasn't looking in this direction. While he walked down to her, she suddenly starts feeling uncomfortable.

"Jewel?" He calls out. His voice was calm and soft. She turns in his direction immediately. What she saw shocked her. A Nathan in low cut staring back at her.

"Okay, I can leave with the no friends zone. But at least you aren't yelling at me." Leo says stammering, while getting to a seat closer to her, and snapping her out of her thoughts, which made her give him a confused look, staring at him awkwardly.

"Are you okay?" Leo asks, touching her hand slightly, meanwhile she flinches at his touch.

There is a sudden silence. No one says a word to one another. Jewel could almost hear her heartbeat. She had never been this uncomfortable around someone before. She never lets such happen. She could always control the situation, by just opening her mouth and closing it, but this time around she had nothing to say.

"Maybe I... I said I preferred this, but...., but honestly, I don't." Leo says stammering, meanwhile Jewel turns to her notebook, pulling it closer to her. That moment she felt him move closer to her, totally reducing the gap between them.

"Leo." She calls out forcefully and is very self-conscious. She didn't feel comfortable with how close he had gotten to her.

"Are you angry with me?"

She didn't miss how confused and scared he sounded.

Slowly she turns in his direction only to see him staring intensely at her.

"No." She responds honestly.

There is a sudden silence.

"I like your bracelet!" Leo suddenly says trying to control the tension.

"Thanks," Jewel says turning to her left hand. "My Dad bought it for me." She smiles at the bracelet. "My mom wanted it, but I claimed it. He actually bought it for my mum, she was kind of mad when I took it." Jewel blubbers.

Turning to Leo, she suddenly pauses, seeing how he was just smiling at himself. He just complimented her bracelet and she started blubbering, for a while she felt embarrassed.

"You are a daddy's girl right?" Leo suddenly asks.

She only smiles and nods her head, meanwhile Leo pulls her book close to him, no one says a word to each other. Jewel slowly turns in his direction while he stared at her assignment probably calculating. Because of the way he looked.

"You got it all wrong!" Leo says.

"That's it's business also Mr John's." She says casually, like it didn't concern her. Meanwhile, Leo gives her a look.

"It's has a big grade?" Leo asks.

"I tried my best," Jewel says in a carefree manner. Meanwhile, Leo just stared at her while she talked. Even when he was done, he doesn't look away.

Jewel starts playing with her bracelets. Noticing how awkward the environment seemed, she looks up only to meet his gaze. The fact his face was getting closer to her's made her brain kick up.

"I love your lip gloss!" He says still staring back at her.

"Le..., " She doesn't complete her statement when he drops his lips on her's. Jewel is shocked, by the fact he took her unawares.

Immediately he breaks it up.

"I'm sorry," Leo says and licks his lips.

She was damn too surprised by what she thought he just did. Lick off her lip gloss.

Before she could say jerk, his lips were on her's. He sucked on her lower lips so hard, which made her part ways, that moment he drove his tongue into her mouth, pushing her close to him, she felt suffocated but couldn't push him off, because she didn't want him to stop.
