     Jewel bites him for the second time, this earned a groan from him. The anger he felt at that instant was obvious to her, because he pushed her roughly, pinning her tightly and giving her a hot slap.

Jewel couldn't believe what was going on. It felt surreal. It was like she was dreaming. Nathan had just given her the second slap for the day.

"Don't force me to hit you again." He yells. You could see the anger on his face. This wasn't the Nathan she knew, this person was a different person, it was as if she was looking at a monster.

She couldn't move, while the tears trailed down her face. He was thrice as strong as she was. She felt extremely weak, couldn't fight him off anymore.

He had successfully ripped her panties. How he pulled both legs apart, gave her grave pain, and she screamed.

"Please stop it!" She exclaims sobbing hard, meanwhile he gets his trousers off quite at ease because he had done that before.

Immediately he inserted his penis into her, she let out a painful scream.

"Nathaaaaaaan!" She screams, meanwhile he moves into her, letting a groan and trying to adjust.

Jewel doesn't fight back anymore, she had a lot of the spirit to fight back. She only screams in tears while he moved in and out of her.

"Daddy!" She screams out in anguish. "Someone please help me." She cries out in pain, meanwhile Nathan keeps deaf ears, while he moves inside of her.

Deep down she knew no one was going to come to her rescue, they were all downstairs. And the loud blast of music wasn't even going to make it easy to hear her plea.

"Daddy!" She screams in tears.

"Jesus!"

Jewel recognized the voice, meanwhile Nathan freezes, it was obvious he heard it too.

"Geraldine!" She calls out her full name, something she rarely did. She was sobbing very hard.

"Will you get off her!" Geraldine exclaims.

"Will you get off her!" Geraldine exclaims, at the same time lunches after him. "What the hell?" She screams.

Her brain had registered what was happening here, immediately she walked in. She was looking everywhere for Jayden who asked her to meet him upstairs and was nowhere to be found. Only to hear screams.

At first, she couldn't tell who it was or what was going on. She was about to go downstairs when it sounded loud and extremely familiar.

She came to find out what was going on, only to meet such a disaster.

Nathan was forcing himself on Jewel.

"Don't you know what privacy is?" He asks sparing her a glance meanwhile Jewel sobs very hard.

"Why are you such a pig?" Geraldine asks with disgust. What she felt at that moment was out of the world. She didn't know when she walked up to him, giving him a hard slap.  "Get off her," Geraldine yells hitting him hard, only to get pushed to the floor.

She groans in pain.

Immediately he gets up. Geraldine throws her face in another direction immediately her eyes meet his dick.

"If you don't leave here immediately, you will be screaming the same way you met her." He says pushing Geraldine roughly. She hits her shoulder on the wall, this causes her to groan in pain.

She wasn't expecting the push.

She knew she couldn't beat him up to anything he planned, he was twice her strength.

Geraldine looks from Jewel who looked so lost on the bed, down to Nathan who was suddenly giving her a look she couldn't fathom.

"You always claim hard girl right? Hard to get. When I'm done with you." He says suddenly moving in her direction, making her try to move back. Although she couldn't move an inch, because she was already on the wall.

It wasn't happening.

He drags her roughly, making her scream out in pain.

The moment he gets on top of her, she pushes him in the face. Nathan groans in pain and returns a hard slap on her face.

Geraldine screams immediately he pulls her legs apart. The cloth she was putting on would be very difficult for him to get access to, she knew that, but hadn't felt so powerless in her life. Nathan was twice or thrice of her, he could beat her till she was weak, she was well aware.

"Jaydeeeen!" She screams in agony, meanwhile Nathan forces a kiss on her. She had never felt so dirty and disgusted ever in her life.

She couldn't believe Nathan Otedola, the class golden boy was a rapist. He had just raped Jewel and was about to do the same to her.

The fact Jewel on sat on the bed numb.

Wasn't she seeing what was going on?

She bites his lips with all her might, he groans in pain as anger flashes on his face. Geraldine receives a punch in her face.

"Stop, please!" Geraldine cries out, fighting him off with all her might, she struggles so hard, screaming.

There is a very loud sound, which makes Geraldine flinch, and at the same time, Nathan falls completely on her.

It takes her some seconds to figure out something had gone down, and they didn't only have company, but Nathan has passed out.

Pushing him off her body. It was as if they had pushed off a heavy load. Geraldine couldn't believe who stood in front of her.

She tasted the saltiness in her lips to tell she was shedding tears.

She had always believed she was a tough girl, but today's incident didn't only change her view, it broke her morals. She wasn't as strong as she thought. And she would have gotten raped if she hadn't walked in on them.

Ekanem only stood there with the object she used in hitting Nathan with.

"Nathan, Nath!" Ekanem calls out kicking Nathan, with her right leg, she was trying to see if he was alive.

Geraldine turns to the bed, only to see Jewel staring into the space. She doesn't move, he full attention in the air.

"Jewel!" Ekanem calls out and gets no reply. "What were you both doing back here?" She asks, meanwhile Geraldine tries to control her tears.

She was used to acting tough. She couldn't let Ekanem see her so broken.

"I heard screams, and came to see what was happening, only to see Nathan sexually assaulting Jewel, I tried to intervene, and he tried doing the same to me," Geraldine says holding the tears so hard.

"He isn't responding," Ekanem says staring at Nathan.

"Is he dead?" Geraldine asks quite terrified.

Ekanem bends down, it was very obvious she was trying to check he was still alive.

There is a small silence.

"He isn't breathing." Ekanem panics.

"What?" Geraldine asks extremely terrified. "Oh my God, I should her listened to my Mum!" Geraldine says regretting ever attending the party. She lets tears roll down her cheeks freely. She didn't miss the loom Ekanem gave her.

To think Ekanem seemed rather too calm about it.

Did we just kill someone? Oh my God." Geraldine says.

"Let's get away from here, we were never here," Ekanem says looking grim. She didn't seem terrified, but in a hast.

Even though she might have killed someone.

"Jewel, get the hell up." Ekanem suddenly yells, now focused on Jewel, who only stared into the space.

"We killed someone!" Geraldine says quite horrified. "We can't just... We will get caught." Geraldine cries out.

"Come help me grab Jewel, she isn't getting up." She says quite uncomfortable, meanwhile Jewel just stares into the space lifelessly.
"We need to get out of this place without being spotted. Pick up her panties." She instructs regarding the shredded panties laying carelessly on the bed.

"Oh my God, we killed someone!" Geraldine exclaims horrified.

"Can we just get the hell out of here?" Munachi panics. "I just freaking killed someone." She yells. That was when it dawned on Geraldine she was only trying to look strong. She was terrified in there.

          Jayden stares at his phone screen expecting a message from Geraldine but has gotten none.

They had agreed to meet upstairs, he got caught up by Ashley who just kept ranting about things he was not interested in. That dude was crazy.

Going upstairs, he didn't get to see her. After waiting for a while, and getting no response from her via WhatsApp too, he decided to come downstairs.

"One shot!" Ashley jumps out of the blues, he wasn't shocked, but also wasn't expecting him.

The majority of the people at the party seemed to be vibing to it. Things were going down. Some people were making out in the kitchen, he even heard screams of some upstairs. This was what happened at parties like this.

Get high and have sex. Which wasn't ought to be so.

"What's in there?" Jayden asks with an inquisitive look. He wanted to know what he was about to consume.

"Heaven!" Ashley says taking his shot, and groans along, while he offered the other to Jayden, who collects it without objecting.

If Ashley could take it, he knew he could.

"Loosing up, I can arrange a girl for you if you want," Ashley says smirking at Jayden, who stared at him, wondering if they were age mates. Because Ashley performed wonders.

He knew if he said yes, Ashley was going to work on it. Though that wasn't his problem.

"No, thanks." He says glancing at the drink.

"Drink up and have fun! Stop shining your eyes like it were a touch light or something." Ashley says giving him a look, chuckles and starts walking away, probably on his way to the next person he wanted to offer his shots to.

Jayden gives the glass one last look before emptying it into his mouth. It tasted weird. He scrunched his face in discomfort.

       Ashley uses his eyes to look around for Nathan, while he advanced to where the game is to take place. The fun of every party they threw was truth or dare.

He could sight his crew, but only Nathan was missing.

There were lots of new faces especially girls, for once in his life, he wasn't too excited about it. He had been trying to forget about everything about Cherish's mum. But he couldn't just forget the fact they were going to pull her out of Hilton College, just because of his stupidity.

He knew if they wanted them never to see each other again. They could succeed. Shipping her to an all girl's school was the first step, then making sure he isn't spotted close by the house, all even seizing her phone or other gadget. That was his biggest fear.

His vision already seemed blurry. He had mixed a lot of things that he couldn't remember, and the effect was strong.

"Where is Nathan?" Xavier whose eyes were shining like a pussy cat, suddenly says, with a loud voice. It was obvious he wanted Ashley to hear him properly.

If there was something Ashley had noticed, it was Xavier not being himself today, and to think he didn't drink or so his usual stuffs. But that didn't stop him from supplying.

Sometimes Ashley did wonder where he got his stuff from because they weren't jokes. He had asked him directly, but Xavier had covered it with a funny joke and called himself a boss.

But this wasn't child play, Xavier was freaking dealing for someone huge. Someone was using Xavier. It started like just little things, but now and then, he was at every party. Ashley only hoped he doesn't get caught one of these days.

"I dont know," Ashley responds in the same manner he was asked.

Xavier looks around before turning to Ashley.

"Let me go check upstairs!" Xavier says.

The music suddenly stops, grabbing everyone's attention, Ashley and Xavier weren't left out.

"It's time to cut the cake." Someone yells. Putting a stop to Ashley and Nathan's discussion.

        Geraldine tries her best not to bump into anything while she follows Ekanem's lead. They were in another part of the house. That was the only thing she could make out.

She couldn't believe she came for a birthday party but is now sneaking around someone's house.

She noticed there was a pool, something she hadn't noticed. Well, Nathan and his crew always threw a pool party, this was obviously where it was held.

"Where are we going to?" Geraldine suddenly asks, panicking.

She was shaking, it didn't take her long to realize that. She couldn't even walk on her property, that was why she left Jewel for Ekanem.

To think Jewel hadn't even uttered a word, only moved where she was pulled to.

"I know my way around, trust me. We would leave through the back." Ekanem says.

Meanwhile, Geraldine gets alarmed by the fact, there was no music playing anymore.

"What if they have found him dead, no music is playing anymore. Ekanem what if we are spotted?" Geraldine asks blubbering.

"If you can just shut up, I believe we will be out of here, without being spotted. This way." Ekanem says pulling Jewel, meanwhile Geraldine follows suit.

In no time, they are outside the building. Geraldine could not only breathe in fresh air but feel it.

She turns to Ekanem who brings out her phone and starts typing fast.

"What are you doing?" Geraldine asks.

"Calling my driver." Ekanem sasses, reminding Geraldine why she hated her. "We should leave this vicinity," Ekanem says slowly.

"God!" Geraldine mutters seeing, seeing the time on her wristwatch, she ought to have been home by now.

"If not for Jewel's condition. I would have advised we stayed back, to avoid suspicion, but with her this way, it will only make it worse." Ekanem says, meanwhile one glance at Jewel, Geraldine's heart broke.

She had been scarred for life.

They all hours.

Meanwhile, Leo stood at the cake looking dejected. Jayden didn't miss the way he tried to keep up with appearances. These few months, he has come to know Leo, he could tell he was trying his best to put up the best smile. It was obvious he wasn't happy being there. He could give up anything to being in his safe space by now.

Jayden had been struggling to keep his eyes open for a while. He was high.
Whatever in God's name Ashley gave him to drink, was having a strong effect. He didn't see that coming.

To think he had been looking everywhere for Geraldine. They agreed to meet upstairs and then she disappeared. He was slightly hurt.

"Hey!" Ivy calls out slipping her hand into his arm. "Let's get out of here." She whispers. Jayden only stands rooted at a spot. He was tipsy and was trying had to act normal.

"I need to talk to Leo!" Jayden suddenly says, in no time everyone starts applauding Leo, he had successfully cut the cake.

"Jayd, are you avoiding me?" Ivy asked giving him a look, meanwhile Jayden nods his head, indicating a no.

"Are you high?" She suddenly asks giving him a look.

"Jayden, Jason is at it again. He is performing outside. He threw up right in front of the entrance." Ashley says giving Jayden a disgusting face and pulling him along. "I can't handle him alone."

       Immediately they got down from the car, Geraldine look around, trying to take down everything around her.

The ride down, none of them had spoken. Ekanem only had casual talks with her driver, which she seemed very friendly with.

He didn't ask any alarming questions, so she cared less.

"Jeez, Ekanem hold your dog, before I bite it!" Geraldine exclaims.

Her statement didn't only sound ridiculous but was very funny. Between the dog and her, who was capable of biting the other.

"Kelvin, please chain the dogs," Ekanem says to the guy who opened the gate for them.

Geraldine noticed Jewel was still in the car, and there were more than one dog around. She was a dog person, but some of them could be monsters.

"Jewel, I have chained the dogs," Ekanem says calmly, reminding Geraldine dogs freaked Jewel out.

Jewel had never looked this miserable, to her ever.

"Come on!" Geraldine says reaching out to Jewel, who doesn't respond but gets up. She holds her firmly while Ekanem led the way.

"Is she okay?"

The driver who Geraldine had come to realise the name was Daniel suddenly asks. She noticed he was a young guy, probably in his early twenties. She didn't miss how cute he was.

"She is fine, thank you!" Ekanem says defensively. "It's just cramps." She adds.

"Okay, sorry!" Daniel says now directing this statement to Jewel, who doesn't spare him a glance.

Geraldine noted how fluent he spoke.

"Good Night," Ekanem says slowly.

"Okay, Queen!" He says now walking away.

Geraldine only observes in silence, she hadn't observed Ekanem's name was queen, she thought it was just the username thing.

"Jewel!" Geraldine calls out while she followed Ekanem's lead.

From the view of the house, it was obvious her parents were doing well.

"Phoebe, turn the light on!" Ekanem says, and the light comes on immediately.

Geraldine was impressed with the interior decoration once they got in.

"Phoebe, pull the curtains!"

Geraldine only stands still with Jewel.

"No one is home, our housekeeper or my Dad," Ekanem says.

Geraldine couldn't help but wonder how she could be left all alone. Also, she didn't mention her Mum.

"Let's go to my room!" Ekanem says leading her in. 

The building wasn't very massive, but this was a fine house they got.

On getting to the bedroom. Ekanem orders Pheobe to turn on the lights, while they walked in. She felt Jewel let go of her and walks straight to the perfect laid bed. She coils herself on it.

Geraldine brings out her phone, while she feels chills in her skin.

She almost got raped.

If only she had obeyed her mother and stayed back home.

But part of it felt right, if she wasn't in the party, Jewel would have gotten more hurt, or maybe none of that would have happened.

She couldn't tell.

"Change into this," Ekanem says offering her pyjamas.

This was the very first time in her life, she and Ekanem were having a calm talk, without insulting or pulling each other's hair.

"Jayden has been calling me!" Geraldine speaks involuntarily, meanwhile Ekanem takes the phone away.

"Don't answer," Ekanem says sternly.
"Let's wait till tomorrow, none of us will be able to talk now, without stuttering," Ekanem says.

Geraldine nods her head in agreement. It was the truth, her hands were shaky already.

Fear grips her, immediately she remembers, someone might have been killed in front of her, and they ran out, without calling for help.

"Gidi!" Ekanem calls out slowly. "Nothing happened. You dont know anything okay." She says looking grim. Geraldine stares at her speechlessly.

"We could have killed someone," Geraldine says in a whisper, like someone could hear them talking.

"We know nothing. Our stories should correspond. Jewel took something and was having a reaction, and you rushed to her, I offered to drive her home, but she was scared of her Mum seeing her like this..., "

"My Mum is so strict, so she couldn't come to my place, she begged me to stay with her, and you offered your house since neither of your parents were home," Geraldine adds.

"This isn't very perfect." Ekanem groans.

"People who know us very well won't buy it. Imagine me accepting a ride from you." Geraldine scoffs.

"Like I was going to offer any to you, " Ekanem hisses.

Meanwhile, Geraldine couldn't help but smile at their outburst, this was someone who just saved her from getting raped.

Ekanem suddenly gets up, and goes to her wardrobe, she rummages through, and finally brings out something Geraldine couldn't make out what it was.

"What's that?" She asks.

"She was raped," Ekanem says throwing a glance at Jewel who just stared into the space. "I bet he didn't use protection!" Ekanem says now pouring the jug of water on her bed table, into a glass. She opens the pills and walks down to Jewel.

She kneels on the bed and hands it over to Jewel, who doesn't respond to her.

"What's that?" Geraldine asks quite alarmed.

"It's to stop pregnancy," Ekanem says, that moment, Jewel reaches for it, and takes the glass of water, shocking Geraldine.

This was the first time she was acting like she heard them since the incident.

Geraldine watches Jewel drink it, then Ekanem takes the glass away.

"Are you sure it's not harmful?" Geraldine asks quite concerned, she wasn't familiar with these things.
"She hasn't said a word of shed tears!" Geraldine says calmly.

"Just let her process things. She is emotionally destroyed." Ekanem says slowly. "I can imagine what she is going through, just give her some space," Ekanem says slowly.

"God, that bastard," Geraldine says with so much hatred.

"He's probably in hell," Ekanem says without sympathy.

"Ekanem?" Geraldine calls out shocked. She had noticed how calm Ekanem had been about the fact, she must have killed someone.

"They deserve death. Trust me, " Ekanem says, a drop of tears dropping down a cheek. "I'm a victim. I know what it feel, trust me! And I won't wish my worst enemy that." Ekanem says slowly.

"Nathan..., "

"Not him!" Ekanem cuts Geraldine off, cleaning her tears. Meanwhile, Geraldine who couldn't believe her ears, sits on the bed.

"Not once, not twice or thrice." Ekanem burst into tears. "I won't wish my worst enemy this," Ekanem says, meanwhile Geraldine's phone starts ringing again.

"Boo!" Ekanem calls out quite amused, now cleaning up her tears. She chuckles.

"It's Jayden!" Geraldine calls out with a worried look.

"You and Jayden?" Ekanem smiles. "Wow, I should have seen that coming. Didn't know you were his type." Ekanem says, meanwhile Geraldine gives her a look.
"What? I'm just speaking my mind."

      Jayden calls Geraldine for the umpteenth time.

"My grandma isn't around, so we can crash here. My parents are home, so last choice." Ashley says giving Jayden and Ivy, a look. Before turning to Jason.

     Ashley almost burst into laughter. He was a little tipsy, he had his senses, but what Jason was displaying here, was mad drama.

Suddenly Jason starts clapping his hands.

He was technically the only normal guy present.

The sound of the laughter, made Ashley sit on thr floor, while he laughs to his heart in contempt.

"Noooooooo!" Ivy exclaims laughing hard. Meanwhile, Jayden sits on the floor staring at the ceiling. Boy was long gone.

What made Ashley, Ivy and Dashlin laugh the most, was the fact Jason didn't care, boy was in his world.

"I'm dead!" Ivy laughs.

"You haven't seen anything. You don't know what went down at the last party we threw. I think Ekanem has the video." Ashley laughs.

"Let's record him!" Dashlin says laughing so hard.

     No one had uttered a word, since the ride back. Jewel hadn't spoken since the incident, she couldn't cry even though she wanted to do that so much.

It did hurt so badly.

The pain she felt was intense. She wanted to scream, but couldn't.

It felt as though she was drowning.

She couldn't believe Nathan was a monster, he could do this to her.

She becomes alert when the car stops.

She was home.

She doesn't utter a word, just opens the car and gets down.

Geraldine and Ekanem stared at her silently.

She doesn't talk to anyone, immediately she gets down, she walks straight to the gate and knocks.

       Geraldine had succeeded in sneaking into the sitting room without being noticed, although she knew it was no use. Her Mum would have probably found out a long time ago.

"The nerve, go back to where you are coming from."

That was her Mum's voice. She sounded so upset. Geraldine couldn't look her in the face, but if there was something she wanted now, it was her Mum's hug.

She walks down to where her Mum stood, it was obvious her Mum was wondering what she was up to.

"You left your sib..., "

She gets cut off by the tight hug Geraldine gives her, and she burst into tears.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Wendy's voice had practically changed, it was now softer.

Geraldine doesn't utter a word, she only continues sobbing in her mother's arms.

Her Mum rubs her back soothing for a while, before trying to pull her to a chair, but she doesn't let go, instead she hugs her tightly.

"Baby, what's wrong. Talk to mummy." Her Mum says slowly.

You would wonder if it was the same person yelling at her a few minutes ago.

"Sweety, what happened. Talk to mummy." Her Mum says.

"A boy forced himself on me," Geraldine says sobbing hard. Meanwhile, her Mum pulls her off her very hard.

"Gidi?"

You could hear the fear in her Mum's voice, while she turns her around like a little child, trying to check her.

"God, I'm dead. What will I tell your father?"

You could see the fear in her mother's voice.

"Let's go to the hospital," Wendy says in fear.

Geraldine realised she hadn't passed the message right.

"I mean, he almost raped me, if not for..., " Geraldine pauses immediately she recalled if she spoke further, every other thing will be out.

She couldn't keep such valid information from her Mum.

"Gidi, are you alright? Who is that bastard, when I'm done with him he would know no one tries shit with my child." Wendy yells.

"I didn't get to see his face," Geraldine says, lying through her teeth.

She hadn't been this confused in her life. She knew her mother, wasn't going to take this lying down.

"I warned you, " Wendy says looking distressed. "I told you not to attend that party, you almost got yourself raped." Her Mum says calmly, now pulling her to the couch.

"I'm sorry," Geraldine says sniffing.

"Look at mommy," Wendy instructs, meanwhile Geraldine looks up to her Mum. "You are a strong girl, hope you know that? Nothing should break you."

Geraldine hands already felt shaky. She had never been this scared in her entire life.

"Mummy." Geraldine burst into tears.

"Hey, that bastard will see what's coming to him, whosoever he is." She pauses. "This is the reason I dont like you attending such parties, I passed through these stages, and I know what happens in those damn parties. You need to be careful."

"Gidi, for now, don't mention this to your Dad, I will do it myself." Her Mum says calmly.

"Mummy, don't talk to Dad about it yet," Geraldine says scared. She couldn't lie to her Dad, she knew if he questioned her, everything that happened would find its way out of her mouth.

Jayden only smiled, while every other person laughed. Meanwhile, Jason just sat at a corner smiling, while Ashley mimicked him.

Jayden had a throbbing headache, now he regretted taking whatever Ashley had given him to drink because only God knew what he mixed. The effect was too much.

It was obvious that was what rendered Jason a fool last night.

"We wish you a Merry Christmas!" Ashley says falling on the floor. Making Jayden wonder if he wasn't feeling whatever he was feeling right now.

"Today is a day of joy." Dashain laughs, meanwhile Ivy joins him.

"Where is Jewel?" Jason suddenly asks out of the blues.

Then it occurred to Jayden he hadn't seen her since last night.

"My phone!" Jason says aiming at looking for his phone, meanwhile Jayden picks his phone up, swipes it and dials her number. It rings for a while, without any response.

"Are you calling her?" Jason asks looking a bit worried.

"Yes!" Jayden responds.

He tries calling her again, no response.

"She isn't picking," Jayden says, meanwhile Jason picks his sweater up.

"Let's go home, she might be there," Ivy says.

     The tears trailed off her eyes, while she stared at the ceiling. She hadn't gotten off her bed, since she got home.

Thankfully neither her parents were home, so it saved her the stress of explaining why she came home without her brothers.

The door suddenly burst open, making her sit up immediately.

"Jewel!" Jason calls out giving her a look. "I have been calling your phone, and why are you crying?" He asks giving her a look.

Keeping mute was only going to arouse suspicion, she didn't even have the strength to talk.

"Jewel!" He calls out.

"Cramps." She says, her voice very low.

"Have you taken your drugs?" He asks with concern on his face.

"Is she in?" Jayden suddenly inquires, walking into the room. "Why are you crying?" He asks.

"Cramps!" Jason responds.

"Have you taken your drugs?" Jayden asks.

"Yes, can you both leave please?" She asks, calm and moody.

"When did you get back?" Jason asks giving her a look.

"This morning, I was with Gidi," Jewel says, feeling the need to be defensive.

Jason gives her a look.

"Thought you guys weren't hanging out anymore," Jason says calmly.

His phone suddenly beeps.

"Ashley said there was an accident at the party last night, Nathan was found in the pool of his blood," Jason says reading out from his phone.

The statement alone, sent Jewel to shock. Especially with the way Jason turned to her with a sober look.

"Hey, he will be fine," Jason says patting Jewel on her back, thinking she was terrified by the news of her boyfriend.

"Jason, check who is at the door!" His Mum says casually, while she offers grandma a glass of water.

The only people not present in the sitting room was their Dad, Jayden and Jewel. Who surprisingly hasn't come downstairs ever since they got back. She skipped lunch too.

"You!" He calls out shocked at the person at his doorstep.

"Is Jewel home?" Ekanem says looking straight at him, meanwhile he swallowed hard.

"Jason, who is there?"

"Na she drop small madam this morning." Adamu the gatekeeper says bursting out from nowhere.

Jason knew he was trying to secure his job, especially after he had seen how uneasy the situation was.

Jason moves away, and Ekanem walks straight in.

"She is Jewel's friend, Queen!" Jason says quite uneasy, meanwhile Ekanem had a tiny smile on her face.

Ekanem greets April down to Grandma, before turning to Ivy.

"Jewel hasn't mentioned her, welcome dear," April says slowly.

"My name is Ekanem, we have been making short gigs and vlogs together," Ekanem says, meanwhile April raises her eyebrow, it was obvious she had a clue.

"She mentioned that."

"Yeah, she asked me to come over for our last vlog, since we are resuming school tomorrow," Ekanem says slowly, meanwhile Jason watches her silently.

There was a way she sounded. Especially with the way she was shining her eyes. She did that a lot when she was lying or making things up.

"Jewel is in her room," Grandma says smiling. "Ivy, take her there." She instructs.

"Thank you!" Ekanem says, now turning to Ivy. She follows her lead immediately.

"She is very pretty. She looks so much like Light's daughter, what's her name again?" Grandma asks.

"Cherish!" April responds.

Meanwhile, Jason just listened to them exaggerate. The only thing he notice was the fact they were very fair-skinned. No resemblance like Grandma claimed.

     Neither of them had spoken to each other since she worked in. Jewel wasn't expecting Ekanem to come over.

She had intentionally ignored her and Geraldine's messages and calls.

"You weren't picking up your calls," Ekanem says slowly.

"He was found in a pool of blood today," Jewel says, tears dripping down her cheek.

"I heard too. I haven't gotten any more information though. I tried calling Leo to avoid to see how he was doing, know what's up and avoid suspicion, but his line wasn't going through." Ekanem says in a whisper, meanwhile Jewel's hands starts shaking.
"Hey! I'm here." Ekanem says grabbing Jewel's hand. "I barely slept last night, I may act tough, but I'm scared. I killed someone for Christ's sake." Ekanem says, Jewel could feel her hands shaking.

"It's all my fault," Jewel says sobbing out. "I should have listened to you. Or maybe stayed home, when my mum said so. I deserved what I got." Jewel says sobbing.

"Jewel, nobody deserves to be fucking raped, what are you saying? You need to talk to an adult about this, someone very close." Ekanem says slowly.

"Have you forgotten Na...," She couldn't pronounce his name, so she burst into tears. "He is probably dead, it could get you into trouble," Jewel says slowly.

"I know the Otedola's. They are very powerful people, they wouldn't want to hear anything, they would destroy my life. I'm finished." Ekanem says panicking.

"Your sister isnt ready yet!" April says to Jason and Jayden who were all dressed, and already had their suitcases down.

Ivy walks in pulling her suitcase along with her.

"She hasn't even taken her bath or gotten her things into her suitcase," April complains.

"I will go and help her with that," Ivy says calmly, meanwhile April gives her a gentle nod.

Jason knew she was probably going through a lot because of Nathan's condition. He knew she loved him. She had been withdrawn ever since the heard the news.

No matter how much he hated Nathan, for Jewel's sake, he hoped nothing happened to him.

They hadn't really heard much, and funny enough, bloggers hadn't carried the news, which was obvious the family were trying to hide it from the general public.

    Cherish leans on the door, while she heard her parents argue, she knew it was her fault and blamed herself for it.

"To think Flourish is controlling you. Look I dont want her in my house anymore. She has her own family. Why is she always here trying to destroy mine? Eh Light!" She exclaims. She was angry, to refer to him, with his first name.

"If not for her, would we have found out what Cherish had been doing? Look going to TGSS is the best decision. It's an all girl's Seco...,"

"And you think that's the best option, or nothing happens in an all girl's school or what? Light? Honestly, I'm shocked that this is coming from you. I told you, I have everything under control." Her Mum agrees.

"You are only bitter because this was suggested by Flourish. We both know this is best for her. I'm her Dad and I know what's right for her." Dad yells pretty hard.

"And you think shipping her off to another state and school is better for her?" Mum asks.

"Rori, I know what I'm doing," Dad says calmly.

Cherish squats immediately.

"I told you, this is the last year for him...,"

"You dont understand. Rori, I dont want anything to do with Kenny or his kid. That guy is dangerous. The last thing I want is my little girl getting knocked up by his son. Cherish is a child." His agures.

"And I told you, I'll handle it." Mum agrees.

     If she said she was listening to whatever the principal was saying. She was a very big lair.

The only thing on Geraldine's mind, was for them to get the hell out of the assembly hall.

Her heart skipped when the principal asked everyone to be in the assembly hall.

They only had announcements on Mondays, after they got back. It turned out he wanted to talk about the pandemic and protocols.

She noticed some changes, they were asked to always put on their noise marks, and maintain social distance.

"You all can retire to your various hostels." Headdress.

Geraldine uses her eyes to search for Jewel or Ekanem. She hadn't seen either of them since she resumed. But she found out Ekanem was in school.

She wanted to talk to someone, he head was exploding. Ekanem had texted her about Nathan being found in a pool of blood. Since then, no other information had been heard.

Geraldine suddenly sights Jewel and Ekanem in the hall, they seemed engrossed in whatever they were talking about.

They were the only ones left in the hall.

"Jewel!" Geraldine calls out slowly, meanwhile Jewel and Ekanem turns to her. "You weren't picking my calls," Geraldine says pulling Jewel into her arms...

"Have you heard about Nathan?" Geraldine suddenly asks, directing the question to Ekanem.

"I have been avoiding Leo, I can't face him."

"Leo isn't back to school, even though I don't know him quite much. He resumes on the first day." Geraldine says looking quite uncomfortable.

"If he is dead, we would have heard it by now. And stop talking to me, it would arise suspicion. Everyone knows we aren't friends. So imagine this constant speaking to each other." Ekanem says looking uncomfortable.

"You and I know he is dead, so stop talking in parables," Geraldine says slowly.

"It was an accident."

"No one will believe us. So let's pretend like we know nothing. Also,  talk to Jewel, she has refused to talk to me." Ekanem says, meanwhile Geraldine pulls away from Jewel slowly.

"What did I get myself into!" Ekanem exclaims.

"Our words shouldn't contradict one another. If you are asked, why you left the party so early. Stick to what we planned. If he is dead, we are in big trouble, even though we weren't totally at fault. I killed someone, and you covered it, which makes you an accessory. So we shut up."

"Dont you think if something has happened, blogger would have carried it by now?" Geraldine asks.

"Neither of us has our phones here."
