Majority of Ss3 students were thrilled by the fact, they weren't writing the termly exams. It was obvious, they wrote mock the last time. Sometimes the school could come up with something else, that the students found annoying and uncalled for.

This term had gone from bad to worse
to Geraldine. Things weren't the same anymore. To think before now, they were only spectators wherever there were scandals in the school. But now she was in the middle of it all. It wasn't terrific at all.

She was on her way to there from the form master's office when she comes across a familiar face. Then it dawned on her, he hadn't been in school since the scandal started, to think he was in a way involved in all this.

It was his birthday party after all, but that didnt mean he was the genesis of the problem. But the fact she knew the other story about his escapades with Jewel. Nathan was his brother too.

They both make an eye contact as they walk in opposite directions.

"Gidi." She literally jumped off her skin.

Where the hell did the Munachi come from?

"That bastard is in school. To think he resumed after his brother was expelled." Munachi says. It was obvious she also ran into Leo.

Remind Geraldine why Munachi hates Leo so much?

"He should be expelled too," Munachi says casually, earning a look from Geraldine. This wasn't supposed to be funny, but Munachi made it.

Expel him.

What did he do?

"He isn't Nathan." Geraldine made mention. Even pronouncing the name, made her very uncomfortable.

"Trust me there is no difference between them. They are both dogs." Munachi hisses. "I can't even stand his mere presence. I don't know why he is back here."

Geraldine suddenly felt as though Munachi wasn't spilling everything. The hatred she had suddenly developed for Leo was just massive and unbelievable. Wasn't it the same Leo she always threw herself on?

"Jayden."

Slowly he takes his head up from the bed. He wasn't lying per se. He just had his head on and body on the tiled floor.

"Jayden."

He recognised the voice. Even in his sleep he still would.

They both make eye contact. He noticed he was looking healthy than he was before he left. There was no need coming back now. They weren't taking exams.

"How are you doing?"

He was pissed at Geraldine. Really pissed. She obviously choose Jason over him. His mood had been rotten ever since. This was his first official heartbreak. To think it did hurt, in a way he couldn't imagine.

He had come to like this girl so much. That he wondered how it happened so soon.

"Jayden."

He looks up slowly. Realising he had forgotten Leo was standing over him.

"I'm sorry about what happened..., "

"You knew she was dating your brother right? Why did you keep pushing it?" Jayden asks giving Leo a look.
He didn't even wait for him to apologize, he knew that was what he wanted to do. But his apology wasn't going to change what happened. Things remained the same.

"Jayden, I'm really sor.., "

"What is your apology going to do? Guy stop abeg. I don't have the energy for all these. And don't come to me with the Nathan was after Jewel just to hurt your feelings bullshits. My sister is the victim here. To everyone, she is a bad person. But we both know you and your brother are part of this." Jayden yell.

The shock on Leo's face wasn't hidden. He had never seen this part of Jayden ever.

"I'm so..., "

"Leo stop with the apology. There is no use in it. Whose life was destroyed? My sister. To think everyone believes she is a lair. Look I don't want to have this conversation with you. Please just leave." Jayden says finally realizing. They were both in the hostel. He had the same right as him.

It was this quiet, because of prep.

"Well if you don't leave I will." Jayden suddenly says. "Jewel is a human being, not a toy, I hope you and your brother finally realizes that." He paused and gives Leo a look. "Your family is fucked up, you all are just the same. Ranging from your mom down to your brother. Selfish" He paused.
"One last thing. Stay the fuck away from my sister. Take your obsession to somewhere else. Fucked up people." Jayden screams.

"Jayden," Leo calls out in disbelief. Holding him back by his hand.

"Gets the fuck off me, I'm a different nigga when I'm pissed off," Jayden says in anger and pulls away from Leo's grips. He grabs his keys and storms always.

"I'm taking five meats."

"If you take five meats, what will others eat?"

"Aunty how is it my business?" He asked.

"If everyone is doing this, no one will have any." She drags on.

"My school fees covers everything. I have the right to take as much meat I want."

Geraldine couldn't help but smile. She had been listening to these conversations, which was turning into an argument for some time now.

Her eyes were focused on Jayden who walked in and went to seat at a secluded area, without bothering to serve himself. But her ears were listening.

She knew the only person that would pull this kind of stunt. There was no way she wouldn't recognise Nengi's voice. Though they hadn't been seeing much of each other.

"Aunty, if you make me angry, I will take then and nothing will happen. All these schoolhouse girls, feeling like deputy Jesus."

Geraldine couldn't help but chuckle. He had just referred to the refractory perfect as that.

"Gidi."

He sounded as though he was surprised to see her.

"See this fool." The refractory prefect. Chiamaka lets out.

"Between the both of us, who describes the word?" Nengi asks in his usual girly tone. "In fact, I will take another..., "

"Nengi, stop it." Geraldine chuckles getting into their midst. Meanwhile, Chimaka rolls her eyes at him.

"Chi, sorry," Geraldine says in a bid to make peace.

"Why are you apologising to her? She actually saves this to eat every blessed day with those ostriches, she calls friends. If you don't know. " Nengi says referring to the leftovers.

He would never change.

"How are you?" He suddenly asks toning his voice down. Meanwhile, Geraldine realizes what he wanted to talk about. "I always wanted to talk to you, since the whole thing, but I was scared of getting put in my place..., "

"Nengi." Geraldine calls out calmly.

"When did we get like this?" She asks determined to talk things. She couldn't keep losing friends. Her circle was small and was gradually turning into nothing. She and Jewel had started hitting it again, even though she still seemed a little distant, but they understood what was wrong. She was determined to get her friends back. Things were changing drastically.

There lives for instance. They were all in different stages now. WAEC was coming up soon, JAMB. Before you knew it, they would be in different universities. This was the only time they had left together.

"Jason." Nengi blurts out, effortlessly. Which was unlike him. She couldn't help but wonder how long it took him to rehearse. "I was becoming the third wheel. I didn't want to become the problem in your relationship." He says slowly.

"We were just friends. Just like me and another guy." Geraldine suddenly says. Even though it felt like she was lying. It wasn't just like any other guy, she had feelings for Jason Adenuga, not to exclude the burning desire she had for his brother. She was in such a dilemma.

To think she was still very much upset with Jayden.

"Gidi."

She noticed Nengi's face brightened up, as he pulled her in for a hug.

It felt awkward. Things had really changed. Nengi was her best friend.

She leaned in.

In a few seconds, she pulls always, with a small smile, observing the environment closely.  There was a particular spot, she didn't dare turn to.

Why did she feel as though she was doing something wrong?

The principal's face was now something SS3 students were used to seeing now on daily basis, especially Geraldine.

She stared at the principal quite interested while she wondered how many times she had seen him, in such a short period. Which was usually not that way.

It was actually Mr John who even handled the prefect's affairs.

"You all can start calling your respective parents. As it is there is nothing you all are doing here, then loitering around, while junior takes their exams."

There is a little silence.

"As it is, you all will be resuming before them. WAEC timetable is out."

This was news. Geraldine wasn't expecting it, not after the covid-19 incident.

She felt she needed a break, especially after everything, that had been going on in her life and around.

"You should be back here by the 17th."

Geraldine looks up. Immediately after Easter. Was he being serious now?

"Whereas, normal resumption for other students is 2nd of May."

That moment Geraldine wished she wasn't writing WASSCE at the moment.

"As you all remembered, your classmate Nathan Otedola was expelled, not just that, we aren't letting him write his exams, which means extra year for him. Not just that, serious hands has taken the case up, this should be a lesson for all."

This moment. Geraldine felt uncomfortable with the topic.

"Those cliques of his are also being watched too. Don't forget we aren't going to relent if anyone commits any atrocities. Parties that links to our school gathering outside the school premises has being banned. If we find out any was thrown, those responsible will be expelled. Which means, anything that happens, you are on your own."

Geraldine couldn't believe her ears. This was getting serious.

"We were told this wasn't his first attempt, although the victim's name is confidential. Nathan Otedola has committed a lot of atrocities in this school. It's quite a shame he is the DEPUTY SENIOR PERFECT BOY." He pauses and takes a good look at a few students in the classroom.

"We will be picking acting prefects in SS2 for now. You all are demoted."

Geraldine couldn't believe her ears. Demoted? When they were supposed to be handed over. This was quite a shame.

"You all will only be handed over during the graduation ceremony. I think this is all for today." He concludes calmly.

____________________ 🖊️

She knew she was going to find him here. The confidence that was oozing, and the fact she was ready to get it over and done with.

Walking into the classroom, she had only one thing in mind.

Confront Jayden Adenuga.

They weren't kids, and these mind games were going to stop.

"Why did you ask Jason to stop talking to me?" She asks while they make serious eye contact.

The look on Jayden's face shone he wasn't expecting her.

As usual, he had a calm look on his face. He wasn't on his daywear, which was something she noticed immediately. He had a sweatshirt and a plane trousers on.

Slowly he takes his eyes away from her, down to the book on his table.

The pang of anger which hit her at that moment was unexplainable. Unimaginable.

"Jayden." She yells out in frustration.

He doesn't look up, still concentrates on his book.

Geraldine couldn't help it anymore. The anger she felt at that moment. It was extreme.

"Jayden."

Still no response.

How he managed to keep up with his rotten behaviour marvelled her. To think she was standing in front of him, and he didn't even act like he saw a human being.

This was what one thing she hated about him, his snobbish attitude.

"Jayden, I'm talking to you." She says trying to control her nerves. Still no response.

At that point, she picks up his textbook and flings it away. It went as far as hitting the board then to the floor.

The shock on Jayden's face was unwatchable.

He doesn't respond. He attempts to pull his mini bag closer to him. Instead, she grabs it and flings it.

"I'm talking to you. You don't act like I am not here." She says looking grim.

He still doesn't respond, he tries to reach into something on the desk, which Geraldine took note of, got to his earpods before him.

She inserts it into her bra, giving him a stink eye.

"I'm talking to you."

He still doesn't respond. She felt like screaming her heart out.

What kind of beast was Jayden?
She wondered.

What made her so crazy about him. Because right now, the only thing she could see was a beast.

A monster.

Jayden was a monster.

To think he still didn't utter a word.

He gets up, meanwhile, she wonders what he was up to. Immediately she realised what he wanted to do, she runs to the door and bangs it. It had no lock, so she had to obstruct him by standing there.

"You don't walk out when I am not done talking to you." She says authoritatively.

The look Jayden gave her at this moment. He had never glared at her in such a way before.

He was angry. And she was glad about it.

"You are just so self-centred."

He smirks, making her crazy.

"You think you have won by asking Jason to stop talking to me? Dude, it only shows how shallow you are. You are just an insecure little boy."

He smirks.

"So bitter. To think I even agreed to date a baby."

He smirks.

God, the line was drawn. She was so mad.

"You are just so irritating. What kind of human being are you?" She yells.
"So so biter, not talking doesn't make you superior to me. You remain a dick, little bitch."

"You are just a bossy little bitch, now leave my way," Jayden says, you could hear the anger in his voice.
"For the record, you were not my type." He says pushing her off, and she moves like a weightless paper. She was obviously too shocked by how words.

"I can't date my follow boy." He says and storms away.

Geraldine couldn't believe her ears while she stares at his bags and books.

Did Jayden just body shame her?

She was in total shock.

Her body was vibrating.

The pang on pain she felt in her heart. She leans on the wall, while she finds her way to the floor.

She stares into the space trembling.

Jayden's words had broken her.

Jewel walks straight to the hostel, with nothing else in mind, than to go and get her things ready for leaving the next day.

Something she dreaded, neither she nor her Mum spoke to each other since the day of the hospital. They ran a few tests.

Which she had no idea of, just has blood was taken. She overheard her Mum talking about an HIV test.

Even though his Mum didn't talk too much, she was aware she ran a pregnancy test on her.

She hadn't been going to class since the junior students started their exams. She stayed back in the hostel. Matron didn't disturb her, she understood her plight. Even though Jewel was clearly not comfortable with it, she felt despite the pitiful look these people gave her, they judged her low key, she wouldn't blame them either.

Sighting a familiar face, they lock eyes. She forcefully swallows the lump in her throat.

Was it four days or a week?

She hadn't seen him since the whole scandal.

Nathan was expelled, and here he was.

She starts walking so fast, as her legs could carry. The last thing she wanted was standing or making a conversation with him. It would kill her.

She could feel her body vibrating as she walked passed him.

God willing, he didn't call her, or attempt to talk to her. She shuts her eyes for a moment. And in no time she starts running straight to the hostel.

This wasn't some sort of a heavenly race though, it was needed.

She wasn't ready to talk to him.

"Can you imagine, he asked Jason not to talk to me. Childish right?" Geraldine found herself ranting to Nengi, who paid attention to her, and judged him too. That was what she needed right now.

Her friend.

Someone she could spill absolutely everything to.

"So childish." Nengi backs her up.

"Can you imagine he called me a controlling bitch." She paused awhile. "His right words, You are just a bossy little bitch." Geraldine rants.

"Oooou!" Nengi says. "Who the fuck does he think he is."

"I wonder. He is an irritating snub, a self-centred baby." Geraldine says, intending to make herself feel better, although that wasn't the case, she was hurting badly.

"So full of himself." Nengi backs her up.

"Do you know what else he said?" Geraldine asks looking grim. Meanwhile, Nengi paid a close attention. "I can't date my fellow boy."

"Oooou. Wtf! Like who the for does he think he is. Gidi you are beautiful, guys would kill to have you. Look at that little dude from the trenches, coming out to spit trash, because you gave his little ass a chance or what?" Nengi says in a feminine way.
"Forget his ass. He isn't even that cute, neither is that baby Jason." Nengi hisses snapping his hands twice.

"That's it, I can't forget him." She says covering both hands on her face.

"Did he really get you eating out of his palms. Those siblings are sketchy." He says now generalizing all three of them. It was obvious he disliked Jewel, then Jason, now it was Jayden.

"Nengi," Geraldine says hugging herself.

"He is coming. Don't look." Nengi suddenly says in his usual girlish way. "Look at his k-leg. Big eyes and nose." Nengi hisses.

Geraldine only lets out a small smile. Jayden didn't have any of those. It was the way Nengi was body-shaming him, just to make her feel good.

"Look at the idiot that says he can't date a boy, has he ever looked at himself in the mirror, snobbish little dude." Nengi hisses. "That's by the way. About Nathan, why didn't you talk to me about it? You went through all those by yourself. I feel in..., "

"Nengi." Geraldine calls out quietly, fully aware the conversation was going to come up between them sooner or later.

"I feel very bad for Jewel though, to think I knew it was going to end in tears, with all those lovey-dovey they were doing in class back then," Nengi says looking grim.

Immediately Jewel gets into the car, she greets both parents. It wasn't surprising, but was the first time both parents were picking them up together, from school.

Things had really changed.

There is an awkward silence.

"Sweetheart, put on your seat belt," Jordan instructs April calmly, who does as told without uttering a word.

In no time, Jayden opens the car and get in.

"Good afternoon, Mum and Dad." He greets casually, while he flings his things, into the boot, from the passenger's seats.

"How are you?" Jordan asks calmly.

"Jayden," April calls out.

There is an awkward silence. Jewel couldn't help but wonder, neither of her parents made these little conversations when she greeted them. They did more of the one word thingy.

"Did you speak with the principal?" April suddenly asks.

"He was just on about the peace, which was none of my concern. I only wanted to talk to the parents of the other victims or so, he wouldn't disclose it. No matter what, I already told him, this case isn't going to be left lying." Jordan says sternly, meanwhile Jewel paid close attention, silently.

"God." Her Mum mumbles.

"I will talk to Wendy and Tari though. Since their daughter is involved..., "

"This is a rape case, a court case. Do you think, they will let their child testify or get involved?" April asks slowly.

"Sweetheart, she is involved in this as much as Jewel. He almost..., "

Jordan stops. It was obvious he found it difficult using the word rape.

"The parents of the other girl needs to be talked to. Her mother seemed oddly familiar though. But I can't seem to place my hands on where I knew her, even the father." Jordan says trying to recall where he probably knew them from.

Jewel couldn't believe this was really happening. Her parents were really going forward with the case.

Jason opens the door, diverts her attention.

"Where is Ivy?" April asks.

____________________ 🖊️

Since she got home, she hadn't seen her parents. Firstly the driver came to pick her up, which was unusual. Now neither her siblings nor parents were home.

She had been served lunch by the helps. She noticed her room was properly tied. Obviously, they were expecting her home.

Relaxing on her soft bed, she stares into the space. She still had her day wear on. She didn't feel the need the change, neither did she have the strength to do so.

She wanted her mommy.

Strange!

Funny!

But she wanted her mother.

Not getting any sight of her. She shut her eyes. With the next thing in mind.

A deep sleep.

____________________ 🖊️

Things had changed a lot in these past few days. His mom had bombarded him with questions since he got back. She heard about Jewel's scandal and wanted to get every info from him.

She just finally let him go. Taking his cell phone, he leans on the wall.

None of his friends were talking to him.

He broke the bro code, he rattled Nathan out. They were friends, and he was ought to stick out for them, and they would always do the same for him.

Guilt was eating deep in him. He felt like he betrayed everyone. Jason, his friends, even his parents.

He didn't tell Jason what he knew, he exposed Nathan to the principal and didn't tell his parents the legit truth when he was asked what really happened.

He did twist the story of Cherish's attempted rape. Firstly he didn't mention her name, he lied about the girl no longer a student, secondly he put Nathan out there, to carry the cross alone, even when he was nothing other than a partner in crime.

He felt like a bad friend. Nathan was never going to forgive him. He felt guilty, he couldn't let Jewel take the fall like that, for what he was responsible for doing.

Another thing he was scared of was coming out to testify. Then his parents will find out, he had a link to everything and the whole truth. The best thing will be out. The drugs and Xaviers dealings too. He couldn't risk it at all.

Things were messed up. He was in a hot soup. He would never have believed, he would never be in such a hot mess in his life.

His girlfriend was leaving.

His cousins were involved in a rape scandal, one raped, the other almost.

The dude responsible was one of his closest friends.

He was so mad, Nathan crossed the line so badly.

He almost raped Geraldine too, after what he did to Jewel.

He still couldn't believe all this happened.

____________________ 🖊️

Jewel lays on the bed, staring into the ceiling, while the tears rolled down her cheeks.

How her life had changed so drastically in such a short while.

The vibes she was getting from her parents, was another thing altogether. The silence was killing her. Neither of them had said a word about the incident. It was killing her.

A lot of things were going on in her mind.

What was there genuinely thought?

What was going on in their mind?

She had a lot of questions.

Did they hate her?

She knew they were disappointed.

At this moment she regretted everything she did. Involving herself with both brothers at a time. That was the biggest mistake of her life.

Her door is suddenly pushed, she quickly cleans the tears from her eyes, meanwhile Ivy walks in, giving her a pitiful look. A look she was tired of people giving her.

"Hey. Are you okay?" Ivy asks.

This was the weirdest vibe ever. Coming from Ivy. She didn't know how to respond.

"I'm good." She says and gets up and the same time. She rushes into the toilet. She wanted to be alone at this moment.

"Gidi."

She feels a slight tap.

Still feeling sleepy, she opens her eyes slowly, only to meet her Mum's gaze. Plus the awful light which was literally piercing to her eyeballs.

"Baby. It's 8:56 pm. You are still in your daily wear. You have been asleep since we got back by 4 pm." Her Mum says, patting her by the leg.

"Good evening Mummy," Geraldine says calmly, trying to sit up.

"Are you feeling well? Do you have a fever?" Her Mum asks feeling her temperature.

Wendy was been very caring. This was something that occurred once in a while, she had to enjoy it while it lasted. Wendy could be motherly when she wanted and could switch to crazy at any moment.

"Your temperature is high." Her Mum says getting up. "I will run a hot bath for you. Tell me what you want to eat, so Maggie can fix something, so you could take drugs." Wendy says trying to feel her temperature.

"I don't have the energy, I will be bath tomorrow," Geraldine says feeling too weak.

"Don't be a pig." Her Mum says, now heading to the bathroom to run her water.

"God, Mum." Geraldine groans. She knew she had no case with her Mum, she was going to do everything she was told.

____________________ 🖊️

While they had dinner, the only thing her parents and grandma talked about was the court case. Jewel was already exhausted by hearing about it.

She was low key scared of the scandal getting bigger than it was already.

She had avoided her phone like a plague since she got home. She wasn't mentally ready for some things.

To think no one had spoken to her about it. Not even her grandma.
None of them had asked her what really happened.

Although she was low key scared of talking to them about it. But wanted to get it over and done with, because it was surely going to happen.

"Pass we the salad cream," Jason says to Ivy who was closer to it. She passes it to him, without uttering a word.

"Jayden, are you still flying to Canada tomorrow?" Grandma suddenly asks.

"I cancelled the trip," Jordan says.

All these while Jewel forces herself to eat, not to arose any conversation about it.

Jewel, stares at the ceiling for a while, while she counts the designs on it. Ivy was currently fast asleep beside her. She stared at it, unable to sleep.

Which had been happening for some days now. She found herself thinking at night, instead of sleeping. Which wasn't normal.

She wasn't using her phone, which was the only thing that could keep her before hands. She was just an idol.

Since she got home, she hadn't touched her phone. Which she would have normally rushed to.

The phobia of going online. She knew, there was no way the news wasn't the headlines of the days.

The court case was something that was going to get it so heated.

She feared going online the most. Especially on Instagram and Whatsapp.

She slowly turns to lay on her sides, as she grabs her Teddy, hugging it tightly.

"She would have to testify in court. The witnesses too." Barrister Briggs says, meanwhile Jewel pays close attention.

Currently, it was just her parents, siblings and the lawyer who was taking the case.

"I want to lawyer up." Jordan suddenly says, meanwhile Jewel wonders why. Barrister Briggs wasn't just a there family lawyer, but a reputable one at that.

"The Otedola's are doing that too. Six lawyers." Barrister Briggs says.

"I knew it," Jordan says calmly. "They think they will be able to intimidate us by so doing."

"Jewel. You will have to tell me everything. Don't leave anything untold. I need every information." Barrister Briggs says. "They claim it isn't a rape case, but as an act of conspiracy." Barrister Briggs says.

"These people aren't serious," April says.

"Jewel you have to answer my questions truthfully."

Jewel could almost hear her heartbeat, as she spares a glance on her Dad.

"Who is Nathan to you?" Barrister Briggs asks.

Jewel takes a deep breath, scared of responding.

"Jewel." Her Dad calls out.

"He was my boyfriend."

Jewel felt like the ground should open and swallow her at this moment

"And who is Leo Wachijem to you?"

There is a small silence.

"My friend." She responds slowly.

"What kind of relationship did you have with Leo?" The barrister asks. At this point, lying wasn't going to help her at all, and she knew it.

"We were friends, " She repeats.

"What kind of friends?" He asks.

"Friends." Jewel repeats.

"From what they claim. You had something to do with him, sexually." The barrister says.

Jewel couldn't believe this was happening in front of her parents and siblings.

"Yes." She responds, her face on the ground.

"Same as Natha..., "

"I didn't sleep with the both of them." Jewel cries out. "He made that up. He was my boyfriend, but we didn't do anything. He got angry when he found out about Leo, that was why he..." She paused when she noticed she was crying.

"So, you were dating both brothers?" He asks.

"No. Nathan was my boyfriend, Leo was just my friend," Jewel says bowing her head shamefully.

She couldn't bear the look on her parents face anymore.

"How did the girl Ekanem, come in on all these. Because her parents has refused to see me. They don't want anything to do with the case." Barrister Briggs says.

"The Adenuga's lawyer was here," Wendy says while she walks into Geraldine's room.

Geraldine was feeling better than the other night. The fever was gone, although, she spent the whole day sleeping again.

"How are you feeling now?" Her Mum asks.

"Fine." She responds calmly.

"Will you eat cereals or..., "

"I want solid food," Geraldine says.

"Okay." Her Mum responds calmly. "The lawyer wanted to talk to you. I called your Dad, he agreed, but said it's up to you, whatever you decide on. In as much as I want that bastard to pay, I want us to do this on your pace." Her Mum says calmly.

"I'm fine mummy," Geraldine says.

"That stupid woman has succeeded in carrying stupid rumours in her favour." Her Mum says. "She thought she could play dirty, I did the same, "

"Paid bloggers?" Geraldine asks. It didn't feel right.

"Baby, we are right. And those people are trying to muscle us with their power and fame. The otedola has the power, and that stupid woman has the fame. I can't stand here. This scandal is affecting your grandma and sister's careers, It's been long my name was carried by bloggers, that was when it came out, that I had given birth to you. The drama was unending. For once I used the fact I was Monica Anete's daughter to my own benefit." Wendy says.

Sometimes Geraldine actually forgot who her grandmother was.

"Who were the Otedola's compared to The Adenuga's, Anete, Chidiebere? Those men ruled this county." Wendy hisses.

Meanwhile, Geraldine wondered who those men were.

"That boy must be dealt with," Wendy says in anger. "At your own pace Gidi, no one will stress you. You tell me, when you want to talk to him, and if you aren't ready..., "

"Mummy, I will talk to him."

Things had been rough, these couple of days, especially at home.

His Dad has instructed them not to say a word to Jewel about the incident, till everything had been reshaped.

He was worried about her going into depression and didn't want to make it go worse, by making her relive those moments again.

"Jayden." Ivy calls out, pushing his door.

He turns to her calmly. He was pressed and needed to use the bathroom.

"Hey." He says and gets up, heads straight to the restroom.

Jewel tries to hide her puffy face, immediately she heard the door click.

"Jewel."

It was her Dad's voice.

She hides her face.

"Why did you refuse to come down for breakfast?" He asks.

"I'm not hungry." She responds honestly.

"Jewel, don't do that." Her Dad says walking down to where she laid. Immediately he got there, he touches her.

"Daddy, please call off the case." Jewel sobs. "I can't take this anymore. I'm tired of being the victim. No one believes me after all." She sobs had.

"Jewel."

"I'm at fault they are right. I brought shame to this family. I'm so ashamed of that. I'm sorry Daddy." She cries out.

"Jewel, look at me." He orders calmy.

"Daddy, I'm sorry. I have brought a lot of shame already. I don't want to keep doing it. Today I went online. I saw everything people are saying about me. To think they are right about it. I messed up." She cries.

"Jewel stop that. Those people don't even know the whole story. They believe what that woman has been carrying around. Jewel, I was disappointed, but we are past that. You made a mistake, that shouldn't define you. That boy won't go unpunished for what he did to you."

Jewel burst into tears.

Geraldine had never been this shocked in her entire life. She had just ended a call with Nengi.

Tears formed in her eyes, while she stares at her phone.

She couldn't believe it.

This wasn't happening.

This wasn't happening.

Why did this have to happen?

What wrong had she done to deserve this indecisive drama.

From frying pan to fire.

Her hands were shaky, she couldn't even hold her phone properly anymore.

This was the seventh time Leo was calling him at a stretch.

After the other day, he hadn't been able to bring himself to talk to him.

He overreacted. It wasn't Leo's fault.
He transferred aggression to him.

Jewel's issues and Geraldine dumping him. They hadn't spoken since then. He couldn't bring himself to.

He picks the call slowly and takes it to his ear.

"Wtf, guy! Why will you post that? Are you out of your mind?" Leo yell.

"Jayden, tf!" Jason asks as he barged into Jayden's room.

Meanwhile, Jayden stand's cluelessly.

"How could you?" Jason yells in disbelief.

Geraldine lets the tears flow down her cheek, immediately she saw Munachi's call. She knew it was the same issue.

How could Jayden do this to her?

6,000 Words.

Cliff Hang.

Guess what was going on in the last scene.

Short I know.

Now, what do you think about how Jayden reacted to Leo? Because I dont dig it at all. It was so rude and uncalled for.

I guess we were all surprised at Jayden's outburst, especially with Leo and then Geraldine.

I dont even know what to say about this chapter. The vibe I'm getting from Jewel is breaking my hearts. Not my lively baby.

Okay, what about Nengi and Gidi's bond again?

Also, who noticed what I did in this chapter?

Did you see the clue I spoke about at the beginning?
