Immediately she sees Geraldine, she attempts to take another direction, but it's too late, because she had been spotted too.

She stops walking immediately, she gets to where Geraldine stood, she didn't know her reaction, because she doesn't bother looking at her face.

"Shouldn't we stop this, are you still avoiding me, its been days?" Geraldine says in a carefree manner, making Jewel look up to her, but doesn't utter a word.

"Can we just clear things?" Geraldine asks, you could hear the sincerity in her voice.

"There is nothing to clear. We should just forget about everything." Jewel says, her face void of any emotion, you couldn't tell what was going on, in her mind by just looking at her face.

"Are you okay?" Geraldine asks in a sober tone. Meanwhile, Jewel turns to her quietly.

"Yeah?" Jewel responds, making it more confusing, because it sounded like a question.

"Okay, let's go into that class. Where have you been eating?" Geraldine asks immediately they got into the empty classroom, Jewel hadn't been joining them in the cafeteria, since the day of the argument.

"Hostel," Jewel says, now leaning on a chair.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you!" Geraldine apologizes, meanwhile Jewel continues playing with her fingers.

"I have forgotten about that,” Jewel responds.

"Have you done your physics assignment?" Geraldine asks, looking grim.

"No!" Jewel responds truthfully. "I would do it later. But I am having issues with the topic." She complains.

"No! Thank you. i would rather go to my brother." Jewel suddenly stops when she realized how she sounded. "I would understand better. Besides i don't think we can actually be friends, I would rather stay away from her to avoid any beef." Jewel says calmly.

"You can always start afresh. Fine let's talk things out, with Munachi. Honestly, she is a nice person. It's just a misunderstanding between you two. I think we all can be friends.” Geraldine says, with all honesty, meanwhile Jewel scoffs.

"You are talking like you don't know me. If I don't like someone, there is nothing that can change anything, especially when the person is..., " Jewel pauses, facing Geraldine fully. "Don't sweat it." She smiles, meanwhile Geraldine licks her dry lips.

"Okay, will you join us in the suya hunt?" Geraldine asks, meanwhile Jewel who had no idea of what she was talking about raises her eyebrow, meanwhile Geraldine smiles.

"Munachi introduced us," Geraldine says quite excited. Meanwhile, Jewel releases a small smile. All this while Jewel stared back at Geraldine while she spoke, with a smile on her face. She couldn't stop the feeling of been replaced. Even Nengi was part of there fun.

"Weaving isn't my style," Jewel says. She was already tired of hearing the name. Wondering if Geraldine couldn't just utter a word without mentioning her name, funny enough, the girl hadn't even been in school for complete three weeks. and her name can't stop ringing.

"Jason was right!" Jewel says immediately she walks into the classroom, meanwhile Jayden who knew he was in for a big drama, pushes his notebook aside, while he watches his sister walk in.

He had come to study, besides the hostel was too rowdy. Even though most student weren't in. This was his safe space, he was okay with the fact only Leo knew and came, but now Jason knew, not just that, he had told Jewel, and she had decided to remember him today, he knew the next few hours would be wasted.

She didn't look like someone who just came to way hi. Even if that was what she came to do, he knew what her "I came to say Hi" could be.

She was putting on her day wear, also holding a physic textbook and notebook in her left hand, which he took note of immediately. He didn't also miss how short her skirt looked.

She calls out smiling sheepishly, not asking for permission, but joins him on the row.

"Jewel." He groans trying to imitate her, he groans immediately she entangles herself into his arm, thereby hitting him roughly.

"God!" He groans, meanwhile Jewel lets him go.

"What did God do to you?" She asks in a carefree manner. "I am having difficulties In this topic. I asked Jason for help, but he refused, so I came to you." Jewel says, with an innocent look on her face. Meanwhile, Jayden pulls her textbook.

He was fully aware, she just said the opposite of what she had done. Knowing the kind of person she was, she would probably have insulted Jason, while he was trying to help, and he stopped.

"Not like he even knows what he is doing self."

"I saw his notebook, he passed the classwork.” Jayden comments, giving her a funny look, he knew she was clearly trying to make her self feel better

"Not like he can even teach self. Just because I playfully called him olodo, he said, he won't teach me again" Jewel confesses, meanwhile Jayden nods his head.

"I scored three over five. Don't bother." She responds immediately.

"I want to see it, so I can know what the difficulty is," Jayden says, he didn't miss the smile, that appeared on Jewel's face.

"My problem is everything. just explain." She says handing him her notebook.

"Do you know you are making me talk too much, and it's exhausting," Jayden complains.

"That's because you aren't normal. No normal person would say been interactive, is exhausting.” Jewel responds, but suddenly notices the serious look on his face, she knew the next thing he would do is ignore her.

"Fine, sorry sorry." She apologizes.

Jayden doesn't utter a word, he just flips through her notebook without uttering a word. He couldn't notice, she was making a particular mistake continuously, which always gave her the wrong answer.

"He spoke to me." She suddenly says, making Jayden turn to her with a raised eyebrow. He could also hear the excitement in her voice.

"Who?" He asks. "Nathan!"

It's been long he heard her blubber about him. That name Nathan was always on her lips, she never let him have rest.

"Good afternoon!" She finally greets, Immediately Nathan appeared in front of her, but avoids looking at Ashley's way.

"Let's go!" Eva suddenly says, finally reminding her, she had company.

Cherish couldn't comprehend the joy she felt, because the only thing she wanted was, to be out of there company. Although she couldn't comprehend the look on Eva'a face.

"I don't see any need for this prep, students don't even come here to read, majority of us are just here, deceiving themselves." Leo comments.

      Taking a spoon full of plantain porridge, Geraldine turns to Nengi who was saying something, which caught her attention.

It's a Sunday afternoon, and they were having lunch in the cafeteria. Jewel was the only one left out in their group. Funny enough even after Geraldine had talked to her and requested she start joining them in the cafeteria, she hadn't showed up. She hadn't been coming to the cafeteria too.

Geraldine couldn't help but wonder how she could only be getting down with just junks.

Geraldine and Munachi follows his gaze, only to meet Jewel staring ahead, while Nathan spoke. They both had their plates in their hands.

Geraldine who seemed alarmed, also hoping it wasn't what she was thinking. Shockingly Jewel follows Nathan to his regular table. This makes Geraldine and Nengi both make eye contact. Meanwhile, Munachi who didn't understand what they were on about, did well to just observe.

"Wow!" Nengi comments. "When did she become one of his flings?" Nengi asks.

"She isn't one of his flings. They are just friends." Geraldine who was slightly pissed at Nengi's statement cuts him off immediately. Although she silently wondered when they got to the stage of joining his table, and seating with those idiots he called friends, even though Ashley was part of them.

Jewel rarely spoke to Ashley, although they were COUSINS.

"I thought she was coming here." Munachi joins there little conversation, she looked like she couldn't understand what was going on. "I thought you guys made up already," Munachi says looking grim.

"We aren't fighting,” Geraldine responds.

"Gidi, in as much as annoying she can be, I won't like it if Nathan and his friends use a her to catch Cruz. Because she is still in my circle of friends. She listens to you. This isn't princess and the beast story, neither is ita movie or those stories on Wattpad, where the good girl changes the

"Nengi, I just told said, they are just friends.” Geraldine cuts him off immediately.

"Nathan doesn't keep females, as just friends," Nengi responds.

"What's wrong if they are more than friends, the guys is hot..., "

"But not the hottest guy in our set." Nengi cuts Munachi off shining his teeth.

"You wish!" Munachi says and chuckles.

Clearly diverting the topic. Meanwhile, Geraldine stylishly turns to Jewel's direction. Wondering if she had seen them or not.

"Sha, there are a lot of cute guys in class, but we just have those who supersede, talking about not just cute, but hot ones,” Munachi says, clearly teasing him.

"Fine, if I am not the hottest in class, but I would claim the hottest on our row," Nengi says with a smile of victory.

"Guy, you are cute no doubt. But Leo is hot, there is no form of explanation there!" Munachi says still teasing. She was enjoying the look on Nengi's face.

"Kachi is hot too." She laughs.

She didn't know why boys enjoy been told they were cute, or hotter than other guys.

"He is just long.” Nengi chuckles.

"Should I start comparing?" Munachi asks now laughing.

     Jewel who wasn't comfortable, especially with the look she had been getting since they walked into the cafeteria, tries to leave in the moment.

She was on her way to the cafeteria when she ran into Nathan, so they got in together. She had spotted Geraldine and Nengi, also Munachi, even though her mere sight irritated her. They seemed engrossed in whatever conversation going on, also she had no intention of joining them.

She had been avoiding seating with them on purpose, because she knew, she couldn't pretend to like someone when she didn't, she couldn't stay to someone she disliked because she couldn't tolerate, so to avoid unnecessary issues. She should sit on her own.

Nathan had practically convinced her to join him, which till now, she is still wondering how she agreed. The stares she was getting wasn't surprising.

She walking with Nathan, it was a wrong match, especially to people who knew her. Also Jason had been glaring at her since she got it. She could even see him now with the corner of her eyes, he had even stopped eating. She didn't also miss him frowning at Nathan, which made her wonder if they might have had any beef.

Seeing Ashley staring at her in such manner, across the table, was becoming creepy. Even though she was happy, because Nathan had invited her to join him for lunch. She couldn't wait to get out of the cafeteria.

"Excuse me! I need to use the restroom.” Jewel gets up without thinking. The only thing she had in mind, was to leave the cafeteria, because she wasn't comfortable.

Sitting with her crush, her cousin, coupled with two boys, who just gave her looks she couldn't understand, she also had her brother glaring at her from the corner. Which she was trying so hard to understand why.

"Oh, okay. Are you okay?” Nathan asks looking concerned. She only gives him a small smile and a gentle nod, before walking away.

Ashley watches Jewel intensely, till she walks out. Before he turns to Nathan, who had a small smile on his face.

He was beyond shocked when he saw Nathan and Jewel walking together. What shocked him the more, was the fact she had even joined there table.

"Guy, this is fast," Xavier says quite impressed.

"Just two weeks, I would be done with her." Nathan smiles.

"I shock oh, make I no lie," Xavier says looking grim. All this while Ashley paid attention, without uttering a word.
