Look, i am not happy at all. Coming back to meet the comments and votes in the last chapter. It seems like we are getting worse everyday. It totally spoilt my mood. I am not even suppose to update this, because my motivation has reduced drastically, it's just that i already had this chapter prepared.
Who has read my book "Alexandra" if you where following it, you can tell what happened when I got zero motivation, honestly I felt very bad, like the book isn't worth it.

I only updated this chapter, because it's participation and the one's onwards, will determine if I would dump this book or not!

Pulling her phone out of the dresser, Geraldine swipes it, gets on top of her bed, before dialling the number on her mind.

She stares at the phone while it rings, but get no response. Now she couldn't tell if Jewel was intentionally missing her calls on purpose or not, because she called the other day. The Jewel she knew would have returned it immediately she saw it if she wasn't available when she called the first time.

The sudden noise picks Geraldine's attention, she gently drops her phone on the bed, before getting up.

It was mid-day, she wasn't expecting neither of her parents at home which was unusual. Grayson's nanny had to take her siblings out, which made the house much more relaxing to her. She has planned to sleep the whole day, since she had nothing doing, only for this noise to pop up.

Coming out of her room, the noise increases, and it was clearly coming from her parents room, which made her wonder what was going on, when they got back and why?

"You should stop going through my phone! What is wrong with you? Don't you trust me? For God sake we have been married for nine years, being together for sixteen good year's."

Geraldine recognised her mothers voice immediately.

"You are my wife, I can go through anything that belongs to you. If you have nothing to hide, why hide it or keep it out of my reach?"

Geraldine tries to lean closer to the wall, to relax. It was wrong of her to eavesdrop into her parents conversation, but they have been acting odd since she got home. She knew there were issues going on, which she was clearly trying to understand now.

"I need him sacked. If he isn't, kiss goodbye to going to that hospital. I am not joking with you!"

Geraldine heard her Dad say. She had never heard him this furious before.

"Tari, you are joking right?"

"Don't even mess with me."

There is a sudden silence, which sends chills to Geraldine's body.

"The fact you can jump into every pussy you see doesn't make me you, Tari! Stop been insecure, I have been stuck with you for sixteen years..., "

"And she said stuck." He start laughing.

Geraldine shivers, those laughter's shooke her down to her spines. She couldn't help but wonder what was the real cause of this.

"I don't like that guy."

"He is a colleague!"

"I said, I don't want him close to you. That's final, you are a married woman, maybe you have forgotten..., "

"Get out of my way, if not I would stab this straight into my skin."

Now that was the height of it. Geraldine moves closer to the door, trying to peep in to see what her Mum wanted to stab into her skin.

"I am not joking! Shey, you know?"

Geraldine could hear the seriousness in her Mum's voice, that was clearly not an empty threat.

Geraldine watches her Dad take few steps backwards through the hole in silence. Her Mum attempts to move, misses her steps and falls on the floor. It takes Geraldine, the grace of the lord not to push the door.

"Babe!"

"Don't touch me, I hate you!"

Geraldine knew what was next, her Mum bursting into tears. She had seen far more of her drama's over the years.

"What is bringing the doubts in our relationship, what makes you think I would ever cheat on you? I never did it, even as teens why would I do so now. God, Tari your thought disgusts me. Just get out! I don't want to see your face."

Geraldine doesn't wait to hear more, she suddenly starts working back to her room, wondering what would trigger such thoughts into her Dad's.

"If I had seen you on the road, I wouldn't have recognised you." Mrs Adenuga says and laughs, meanwhile Jason looks from his Grandma down to Ashley, who had a smile on his face, as usual.

His only concentration was whatever he was doing on his phone, but couldn't help but get distracted by his excited Grandma, who looked very happy to have all her Grandkids under one roof.

Currently, his parents weren't home. His Dad wasn't back from the business trip, and his Mum was on her shifts.

It was just Grandma, his aunt Fisayo who had stopped by with her kids, his siblings and Ivy.

"Mummy!" Ivy calls out handing Mrs Adenuga her pills, meanwhile Jason takes his eyes up slowly, immediately it meets with hers, he breaks the eye contact, now looking elsewhere.

"So this is the Ivy!" He heard Ashley whisper into his ears, while he bounces on the same couch as his. Typical of Ashley to act rough, that was his calling. Asking questions about Ivy, Jason knew what was next.
"Let's leave here!" Ashley says, this makes Jason turn to him with a raised eyebrow. He had this "Did I tell you this place is bitting me look" Which is response Ashley had this "I don't care aura"

"Her face is lighter than usual!" Ashley suddenly says, now concentrating on the picture on Jason's phone. "She just changed in a blink of an eye, sha I like the girly version of her." Ashley comments, meanwhile Jason keeps scrolling.

"Let's go!" Jason suddenly says pulling his phone away, meanwhile Ashley gets up alongside him.

"Where is Jayden?" Ashley suddenly asks, immediately they leave the sitting room, totally forgotten they had the company of there Grandma, also not telling her they were going somewhere. Jason could feel the tension in the sitting room, that was one of the reason he left.

He had always felt something was going on with his Grandma and Aunt because it was very obvious. They always had this hostile vibe around them.

"In his bedroom!" Jason responds after taking like forever.

"Okay, let's go there," Ashley concludes, meanwhile Jason gives him a calm look. He knew Jayden, the same way he knew Ashley didn't care about privacy and was always ready to intrude, he also knew the kind of person Jayden was.

Going over to his room, maybe to Ashley, it could be fun, but to him, he had known Jayden his entire life, to pick every of his body language, he knew how much, Jayden hated his privacy been intruded.

"Do you like her?"

The question came like a bomb, he was just about declining going over to Jayden's room, only to get this question, his facial expression changes.
"Because you saw her picture in my phone, I am not into your cousin!" Jason chuckles, he really felt the need to deny it, because he knew Ashley too well, he wasn't going to let him hear the last of it, with the excessive teasing.

"Gidi?" Ashley asks with a raised eyebrow. "I am not talking about her, I mean the girl, Ivy. She is fine sha." Ashley comments in a carefree manner, meanwhile Jason turns to him calmly.

"No! Hah, is that one incest or what?" Jason asks, making Ashley turn to him with a raised eyebrow.

"Girl, I will fuck if I have the opportunity. Incest ko." Ashley comments, chuckles and looks around, hoping no one heard him.

"My mum always goes on about her been my sister. Even if it isn't blood relation, she is still family, it won't make sense." Jason says leaning on the wall for support, they where currently a few feet away from Jayden's room.

He hadn't thought of Ivy that way. They weren't that close, but they did converse. He knew the kind of person Ashley was, and he knew, Ashley meant every word.

"That one you are saying is your business. She is neither my sister or cousin, her ass is just..., "

Jason looks up, early enough to notice why Ashley stopped talking. She had just walked out of Jayden's look. He didn't miss the look of discomfort on her face, when she noticed she wasn't alone. Which she disregarded immediately.

"Is Grandma looking for me?" Ivy asks, staring directly at Jason, who clearly had no answers. His only thought was if she overheard their conversation about her.

"Ivy right?"

Jason didn't need to look up to know Ashley was up with his games, most times he wondered how Ashley managed to handle different girls. He already had his history with one, "Rianat" The girl he dated in SS2, and it wasn't funny at all. He had imagined having two Rianat's in his life, that was a death sentence.

Most times he asked himself if he really liked that girl or he just wanted a girlfriend, just to feel like he could have one.

"Ash! Shey nobody has told you about me?" Ashley asks, meanwhile Jason takes his eyes back to Ivy, who just had a grin on her face.

Opening her eyes, Jewel uses both hands to rub her eyes. She had just woken up from sleep, she had fallen asleep while watching a movie.

Her walk yesterday was something she wouldn't forget any time soon. Even children of Isreal hadn't worked that way.

She couldn't even remember how she got out of Leo's car. What she could remember was the rain started over again, she spent over an hour with him, and no one said a word.

Even while leaving, she murmured thanks, she was sure he heard but didn't respond.

She had convinced herself she was never going to go out without her phone or money ever again, that's if she was ever going to follow her Mum to any market place, ever again.

With how calm the house seemed, it was clear Ashley had left with his Mum. She was never a fan of him, so she didn't bother going down when she found out he was around. The only person she would have gone down to greet was his Mum, and before she could realize she was around too, she had left.

Jewel tries to adjust on her bed, looking around, only to see Ivy trying to open the door quietly, it was clear she was trying not to make a noise, which was odd to Jewel, because anything which seemed to piss her out, seemed appealing to Ivy. It was clear she was sneaking out. Jewel watches her without making a sound.

Immediately Ivy was out, clearly thinking she hadn't been seen, Jewel sits up, letting out a small hiss. She cared less of her whereabout. If she was sneaking off to a party, because that was clearly the only thing Ivy could make out, that was her business.

Although it was clear that wasn't it, Ivy was clearly in a nightmare, she didn't look like she knew anyone in PH, since they just moved in. But if there was something that could make her just disappear from her life, Jewel wanted it more than anything, seeing Ivy's face every day, was part of what ruined her day. Especially with the attention her Mum always gave Ivy.

Turning to the clock, Jewel noticed it was just a few minutes, past ten. She hadn't eaten, she could clearly remember been called to the dining room during her sleeps, which she declined, due to the fact, she was deep into the sleep, she hated been interrupted.

She attempts to get up, when her phone beep, she gets close to it, pulls it closer. Seeing it was a message, she taps on it.

A small smile crept upon her face immediately she read this, which suddenly turns normal, when she remembers what had been going on.

Checking her call log, she is shocked to meet fifteen missed calls from Geraldine, it was obvious this calls came in when she was asleep. A sudden smile appears on her face when she remembers how pushy Geraldine could get when she wanted something.

"Everything just seems weird between us." Ivy who had been quiet for over thirty minutes since she snuck into his room suddenly says.

Jayden who laid at a farther end of the room doesn't look away from his system, he continues typing. Meanwhile, Ivy fold both legs underneath her. She had known Jayden far too better, to get affected by him not regarding her comments.

But the fact it seemed like there was no one in the room did bother her, Jayden wasn't the bubbly type. But this Jayden seemed different from his formal self. She couldn't help but wonder if not been with someone for some months could bring distance.

"Slipping out of your room at night!" Jayden suddenly says looking up to her. Seeing the look on her face, he thought twice of what he wanted to say. He hated seeing her with that look. More like she was feeling dejected or something. He hated being the one to make her look that way.

He also knew what they were doing wasn't right and risky. She was more like his only friend and the best. He had already ruined their friendship by going this far with her. But the risk of anyone finding out was another thing.

She wasn't just any girl, but family. She was his grandma's adopted daughter legitimately, which makes her family, funny enough his Aunt, even though it wasn't blood-related, he knew the chaos this would cause if it did get out.

To top it all, she shared a room with Jewel, it would take her a matter of time to connect the dots. And Ivy wasn't been careful. Back at Lagos, it was different. But here, everyone eyes were sharp.

"Because you wouldn't even try to come out of this hole of a room, during the day. How do you want me to see you then?" Ivy asks, with the look of things, you could tell she was slightly provoked.
"And I can't be few rooms away from you, and wouldn't try to see you when it's driving me nuts. I didn't see you for months, I don't know why I love you this much. Isn't it obvious I feel something stronger than friendship towards you, should we just continue pretending like nothing is going on between us, and act just normal, when it is? " Ivy asks looking straight at Jayden.

This time she wasn't sitting but standing on the bed, you could tell she was speaking from her heart and hurt.

The L-word! That was something Jayden couldn't understand. Ivy was one of the important person's in his life, he could remember when he craved to see her, especially when his Mum said, he was never going back to school in Lagos. But after some weeks, the craving reduced. He was used to having her around, he cared so much about her opinion on things. But love was a very strong feeling and word.

Love could be defined in so many ways. He knew he did love Ivy, but not the way she wanted him to.

"This thing between us, what's it to you?" Ivy suddenly asks.

Jayden suddenly lets his eyes grow wide because this was a question he had no answer to. A question he had never thought of.

"With your recent behaviour, it just seems everything has changed between us. This isn't the way things were, more like you have managed to push me out over again. You know what, goodnight!"

With this statement, she attempts to walk out of the door, but gets pulled by Jayden. She didn't have the time to wonder when and how he got to her, at such time interval. She could only feel herself in his arms, a tight hug at that.

"Ivy. Sorry!"

Even though he murmured it, she could hear him clearly. Everywhere seemed so quiet, they could only hear, each others heartbeat.

"Hey!" Geraldine calls out immediately she takes the call. Her hands seemed shaky, you could tell she seemed very anxious.

She slowly turns to the clock, it was almost eleven. She sure knew her Mum walking into her, while making a phone call, by this time of the night, she wouldn't want to know if it was a girl or a boy, she would be so furious.

Also, she really wanted to talk to Jewel. It had been like forever since they last spoke, honestly, after blasting her phone with several missed calls, she did expect to see a result but not this late.

"How are you?"

Geraldine could hear the hesitation in her voice, also it seemed very low.

"Great! You?" Geraldine asks. She couldn't believe they where acting this formal, like they where some sort of strangers or something.

"I'm good!"

"Come online let's talk. Girls gist palace" It rolls out from Geraldine's mouth, even without her thinking.

If you think Jewel was a drama queen, then you were underestimating her. Jewel was that girl who could go so dramatic on anything. Hearing the girls palace you would think it was something important due to the way Jewel hyped It. You won't know it was just a group chat Jewel just created on Whatsapp, which only had the both of them as participants.

What was the difference between chatting in there inbox or the group chat? Jewel was just something, she knew how much Jewel loved it when she made that seem important.

"Okay!" Jewel responds from the other end. It doesn't take any second before Geraldine cuts the call. She found herself tapping Whatsapp immediately.

On getting, Nengi's message pops in, she taps it to respond, only to see a funny sticker which brought a small smile to her face, they had been arguing about Bob Risky and James Brown, before he went offline, besides her last message was annoying.

She slowly types "Looks like you!" In regards to the stickers before leaving his inbox, not to forget, today was the day they planned going to the movies, but after the several yellings at home, and the fact she knew her parents weren't in the happy mood, she couldn't summon the courage to go ask, also she knew Nengi was disappointed, even though he pretended not to be.

Geraldine pauses immediately she taps the group chat, she had to blink twice, just to meet the shock.

Honestly, I don't also understand. She is one hell of a complex character. She seems to create issues to worry about for herself.

Awwn! So Ivy really got a stronghold of Jayden, even though he think he isnt inlove with her yet. I am sure people shipping him and Gidi are jumping with joy, they are like our ship hasn't sinked yet, but who knows, he might love her, but hasn't discovered it yet.

Jewel and Gidi wahalah sha. I think what's broken can't be fixed. Ten friends can't walk in ten years, it's clear Jewel has big issues, which she really has to work on, if not it would be really difficult for her. She has to know, not everything revolves around her.

Ashley sha😂😂 he has seen Ivy, his body has started to inch him, wahalah😂
