"Did you bring me here to read?" Jason asks playfully snatching Geraldine's notebook from her. Meanwhile, she turns to him with a small smile.

"Seriously." She asks with a smile.

"I don't read during prep. I only followed you because I thought we were coming for a fun activity. You know na." Jason says flipping through the supposed note.

Geraldine pauses, and smile. She felt naughty for that, but Jason always brought out her naughty side with his choice of words.

"What?" Jason asks giving her a look. "God forbid eh. Your mind is too dirty." He smiles.

"You are the corrupt one. Like that wasn't what you meant. You aren't my type." Geraldine suddenly says.

She was talking about having sex with a boy openly, not feeling awkward about it. There were new things she had started discovering of herself.
Who even told her Jason meant sex. His choice of words, she knew he was joking, but he always used those words.

"Look at her. See who is talking, If I kiss you now, like you won't beg for more." Jason says and winks.

Geraldine lets out a small smile. He just flirted with her.

"Try me." She says and laughs. She couldn't believe she just flirted back. He burst into laughter, why she starts playing with her hands. Suddenly an awkward feeling came gushing. One look at Jason, she broke the eye contact and started smiling at herself, while he kept flipping through her note. She couldn't help but wonder what he was reading.

Jewel is shocked when she looks towards the doorway and doesn't catch a glimpse of Leo, she couldn't help but wonder when he disappeared. She had just turned to look towards Nathan's direction, to look at what he was referring to for a moment, only to look back, without him there. Was she hallucinating?

"I'm on duty. Will see you later." Nathan suddenly says, getting Jewel's attention.

"Okay." She says without thinking.

"By the way, you look beautiful." Nathan who was on his way towards the door, compliment her. She couldn't help but blush. No words seemed the leave her mouth. She found herself smiling like a little girl who had been presented with a lollipop.

Smiling to herself, she hugs herself suddenly feeling chills.

She slowly picks her bag back, with the intention of bringing out her book, even though she knew, she wasn't even going to read it.

"Jesus!" She screams immediately she turns around. Holding her chest, with the thought she had almost passed out. "Are you mad?" She says and hits him hard. Funny enough, he didn't budge like he felt anything, he only stared back at her with an apologetic look.

"Leo, why are you stalking me?" She almost yelled.

"Stalking you?" Leo answers calmly.

"I don't know the impression I gave you the other day. But trust me that kiss meant nothing." Jewel says rushing her words. She didn't miss the shocked look on her face.

"Kiss?" Leo asks. "What kiss?"

Jewel's facial expression suddenly changes.

Did he just ask her what kiss?

Surprisingly she felt hurt.

Showing of an I don't care look, she keeps a straight face.

"You know, that's great. We would just pretend like it never happened. What kiss. So please stay away from me, stop stalking me." Jewel says slowly, looking very serious.

"I am not stalking you." Leo says, she noticed he was trying to make an eye contact which she avoided.

"You should better not. My boyfriend wouldn't find it funny." Jewel says slowly. She didn't know why she felt the urge to rub it over her face. She was dating the hottest guy in class, it made her feel very special.

She noticed Leo's facial expression didn't change, he still had that nonchalant look on his face. Like he cared less.

"Nathan won't like that." Jewel felt the need to be specific.

"Oh!" That was the next thing Leo said.

"Yes!" Jewel says, with a straight face, while she picks up her book and bag pack, with the intention of walking out of the classroom. She didn't like how he sounded, like he was mocking her.

She is shocked when she gets pulled back by Leo. She suddenly felt heated. It seemed very intense.

"Why do you treat me like trash." He asks staring at her. Jewel is shocked at the same time speechless. She felt horrible, but couldn't place her finger on why.

"All I want is just to be your friend. Is it that bad? Am I that bad? Why do you hate me?" Leo asks, Jewel couldn't miss the seriousness on her face. She suddenly felt very hot.

"I don't hate you," Jewel says in defence. "I don't just like you, it doesn't mean I hate you," Jewel says slowly.

"Fine, I want to be your friend," Leo says boldly.

"Is it by force? And I don't want to be your friend." Jewel couldn't help but say, wondering what has gotten over him.

He chuckles, making her wonder why she suddenly felt uncomfortable.

"Oya, leave me alone," Jewel says giving him a stern look.

"No!" He blurts out and laughs.

"Are you high? Are you mad?" Jewel asks, it wasn't funny anymore.
"Is it by force to be your friend?" Jewel asks, trying to get away from his tight grip, but couldn't.

"It's by force." He chuckles.
"Are you high?" Jewel asks.

"Just say yes, and I will let you go." Leo chuckles.

"Yes, to what?" Jewel asks quite confused.

"Friends."

"Leave my hand joor," Jewel says now looking grim, she felt him let her go. She gives him a look and attempts to walk out.

"You know I can lock that door right?" Leo suddenly says. The next thing Jewel saw was him at the door. How he managed to get there before her, shocked her.

"Happy enjoyment." She heard him say from outside. "Sleep tight."

"Open the door." Jewel almost screams.

"Sleep tight." She heard Leo chuckle in a mock tone from the hallway.

This wasn't a joke anymore, Leo had actually locked her in the classroom.

"I swear to God, If I get out, I will kill you." Jewel screams.

"That's if you see me here when you get out." She heard him chuckle.

What had come over him?

Firstly, he was forcing her to be his friend, now he locked her.

Suddenly, the lights go off. That moment Jewel was almost passing out. She was scared of the dark. Been alone in the dark. She also heard a movement that scared the hell out of her.

"Leo, open the door! I am not joking anymore." She calls out scared. But gets no response.

"Leo." She calls out again when she heard another movement. But gets no response.

The light wasn't supposed to go off till the next morning. She suddenly remembered that was only applicable to the hostel's, not the classroom.

It was obvious, prep had ended, because the power had gone off pretty early. She knew very soon she would be the only one in the building if she doesn't pass out before morning.

"Leo!" She screams.

But gets no response.

"Someone help, I am locked in here." She suddenly says shaking and terrified.

"Someone help." She screams.

Now she could taste the saltiness on her lips. She was crying already.

"Someone please open the door." She sobs. But gets no response.

She starts hitting the door, suddenly exhausted she seats on the ground and starts sobbing.

She heard the door nob click. Scared, she looks up immediately.

"Who is that?" She says sobbing.

The next thing she heard was laughter. She needed no one to tell her who it was, she hated him that moment. He had humiliated her. But she couldn't find the strength to talk to him.

"I really wanted to leave you here. Honestly, you deserve it, I just know, I won't be able to sleep this night knowing you aren't safe." Leo says slowly. Jewel doesn't move, she only seats on the floor sobbing like a baby.

"I am sorry. I was just joking. I wasn't going to leave you here. Didn't know it was going to scare you this way." Leo says, she couldn't see him, because it was dark. She only felt him move, in less than a minute, he was beside her. Before she knew what was going on, his hands were already around her. She didn't push him away, she only leaned back, without talking. Trying to control her breath.

"Jeez, I am sorry. Didn't know it would get to you this way." Leo says pulling Jewel very close to him. Meanwhile, she stiffens immediately his hands brushed through her breast. She could tell it was a mistake, but it made her very alert and uncomfortable. She felt too weak to move.

Immediately he sights her, what clicked next was remembering he had asked her to meet him in SS3 science class. He got tied down with work and forgot. It wasn't done intentionally.

He took note of the fact, she was on her own. Zara was nowhere to be seen. The next thing he did was to grab the opportunity of talking to her.

The question he couldn't answer was what he wanted with her? He just couldn't stop himself from going after her, even though he had a girlfriend. He knew she was scared of him. Before now he was fine with that. But since Nathan, everything changed.

She flinched immediately he held her hand and looked up immediately. He noticed her facial expression went softer once she saw it was him.

"How are you?" He asks slowly, while they work. The light was dim, students just walked down to their various hostels. He doesn't bother to follow his normal route.

"Fine." She responds slowly.

"Where is Zara?" He says intending to start a conversation.

He noticed her pause a bit before responding.

"I didn't know when she left." She says slowly.

"Were you waiting for me? Sorry, I forgot I was on duty. " Ashley says. She doesn't respond. But keeps walking, her hand still in his.

"Good night." Ashley suddenly says immediately he sights the building of the girls hostel. The one she was staying in.

"Good night." She says. It was tiny but he heard it.

He let go of her hand immediately. She doesn't look back while she walks away.

"Cherish!" He calls out slowly. She stopped immediately and turned in his direction.

He clearly had no reason. He uses his hand to scratch his head slowly.

"Agric lab, tomorrow." He says suddenly speechless. He noticed her nod her head slowly, which indicated she heard him, before leaving.

Ashley stares at her figure while she walked towards her hostel without uttering a word.

What was Cherish doing to him? He acted without thinking whenever she was around.

"Good evening, senior."

He recognised the voice immediately. It was Zara. He only nods to her greeting, while she walks to the hostel.

On a normal day, he was supposed to go after Zara, since Nathan had gotten his way. But the last thing he wanted was Cherish seeing him as the bad boy he was.

He cared about what she thought of him.

Immediately Ashley walks into the court, he didn't miss Nathan and the other guys laughing. Surprisingly Nathan and Xavier had gotten over killing each other to joking around. Typical of them.

"She said yes. I only need two days to fuck her." Nathan laughs.

Ashley who didn't get who they were talking about at first squats, but then it clicked. He could help but wonder if it was the same Jewel he knew who acted so high and mighty.

"I am after you joor." Xavier laughs. "Didn't know she was that easy, who was she now forming for then?" Xavier hisses.

"That girl had the mind to tell me, I am not her class. Jesus! I have suffered, " Dashlin says, meanwhile his friends burst into laughter, Ashley only observed without contributing.
