After talking to Sarah, Kie drove everyone to The Wreck to crash. No one really opposed the idea. Estrella groans as her eyes open. She sat up from the booth she laid in. Pope and JJ standing by the window as Kie laid on a table on the other side of the room.

"He's pinched for sure, man." JJ says

"No. They wouldn't still be patrolling if they caught him." Pope says

"Let's hope."

"You know, we were in that car. They're probably looking for us, too." Kie shrugs

Estrella scoffs, "So much for caring about John B."

"Well, if we're gonna be outlaws, we might as well help John B." Pope says grabbing the key from JJ's bag

"So, find him before they do?" JJ says

"Pope?" Estrella says

"I'm gonna get gas for the boat." He says approaching the door

"Hey, you be careful. Okay?" Kie says softly

Pope ignores her and turns to JJ and Estrella, "Meet me at the dock at three. Don't be late."

He walks out as Estrella and JJ's faces form into into one of confusion. Kie follows after him as Pope gets on the bike.

Estrella can hear them going back and forth as Pope starts up the bike. Each time Kie tried to talk, he revved the engine. She sighs as she runs her hands down her face. She hears the bike fade off into turn distance as JJ steps outside.

She furrows her brows as she hears a helicopter passing over the restaurant.

While Pope was gone, the others were getting food and supplies ready for John B to leave. They'd done a couple of boxes as Kiara vented about Pope. Apparently, Pope had confessed his feelings and she shot him down. Estrella rolls her eyes every couple of seconds at Kiara's obliviousness.

"You sure he wasn't just being weird Pope?" JJ says as he packs a box

"It wasn't really the kind of thing that needed interpretation." Kie says handing JJ bread, "Is that enough food for them?"

"I mean, for a couple of weeks, and that's all they need, so..."

"Look, I think I actually hurt his feelings."

"Obviously." Estrella mutters as she storms out with a box in her hand. Kiara deflates as she watches her. As Estrella opens the trunk, she sees Kiara's mom pull up.

"Goddamn it." She mutters.

"I hate to admit it, but I miss the old Pope." Kie says as she and JJ walk out, "At least I knew what to expect from him."

"Where have you been?" Her mom says walking up. JJ steps beside Estrella to put another box in. The girl rounding the truck and getting in the backseat.

"Have you heard what's going on?" Her mom says as Kie and JJ get in the car

"Mom, I'll explain later."

"Have you seen the storm? This is not safe."

"I'm sorry, Mom. I have to go!"

"These cops are armed, Kiara. You'll get shot."

"I have to go!"

"I am not letting you do this!"

"Mom, John B needs me!"

"You need to stay here."

"I understand. I'll be careful. Sorry!" Kie says as she rolls her window up

"Kiara! Open this door!"

"I'm sorry."

"Stop it right now. Right now, Kiara! This is not safe! Stop!" Her mom yells. Kiara starts to drive off, "Stop! Kiara!"

Next stop was JJ's house.

Estrella could tell JJ was anxious to go back there, but he knew he needed to get the key for the boat. It's silent as Kie stops in front of the house and turns the car off.

"Home sweet home." He says as he stares at the house.

"Do you want me to come?" Kie says, "Cause I'll come."

"No. This will only take a second." He says before he gets out. He shuts the door behind him and goes up the steps.

Estrella rolls down the back window, "Be careful, JJ."

As JJ turns, Estrella gives him a small smile. He nods back at her before he goes in. She leans back against the seat keeping her eyes on the door.

"Are you guys okay now?" Kie says turning back to Estrella

"No, we're not, but I don't want his dad to hurt him." Estrella says not sparing her a glance

Kie sighs, "I'm really sorry, Estrella. I shouldn't  have just blindsided you like that. You didn't deserve it. I was just upset with Pope. I hope you can forgive me. JJ too. He cares a lot about you."

Kie notices how Estrella furrows her brows, "I know what I said before, but I realize it's not true. He does care about you. A lot."

Estrella raises her brows slightly before they drop again. A couple of minutes later, JJ storms out. His eyes were red as he came down the steps and got in the car.

"How'd it go?" Kie asks. He smiles sadly as he holds up the keys

Kie nods before turning the car on and driving off.

The three teens shut the door as they get out. They made it to the warehouse that held the Phantom. As they walk in, a huge boat comes into their view.

"There she be." JJ says, "Hey, girl. A 1983 Formula 402 SR1. The Phantom."

"Mm-hm." Kie shrugs

"The first boat to make the run to Bermuda in under 16 hours. Forty years old! Forty." JJ gushes, "And still the fastest thing that Kildare's ever seen."

"It's kind of a junker."

"Really? She's right there, Kie. She can hear you." JJ says. Estrella rolls her eyes with a ghost of a smile on her face, "Let's just put it this way. You would not be smokin' weed right now if she never existed, okay?"

"I just hope it runs."

"Oh, no, she'll run all right. She's faster than any cutters the boys in blue got." He says as he attaches the boat to the back of Kie's car. The girls hear a motorcycle approaching as the tires screech.

"Pope. Finally." Kie sighs. Instead, they're greeted by Rafe and Barry. The girls backing up as they walk in.

"Hey, there. What's goin' on?" Rafe says, "JJ? How you guys doin'?"

"Whoo-hoo!" Barry whistles as he comes in from the other side, "Well, well.."

He cocks his gun as he approaches JJ. He immediately holds his hands up, "See, don't think I forgot about me and you on the side of the road. I'm here because I want my motherfuckin' money."

JJ groans as Barry punches him in his stomach.

"JJ!" Kie yells as the girls try to help him, "JJ!"

Kie is pulled off by Rafe. Barry pushes Estrella back into a table full of tools. She drops down as she grabs at her side.

"That's what I'm here for!" Barry yells at JJ

"It's not you we want, Kie. Where's John B?" Rafe says

"I don't know!" She yells slapping him

"Stay down, boy." Barry says kicking JJ in his stomach, "Phew!"

"I really wish you didn't do that." Rafe says walking up to Kiara. Estrella gets up and steps in between them pushing Kie back as she backs up.

"We know what you did." Estrella says

"What? What did I do?"

"You murdered Peterkin."

Rafe's face hardens before he grabs Estrella by her throat, "Don't you ever say those fucking words again."

He squeezes harder as she gasps.

"Rafe!" Kie yells

"Understand?" Rafe says, "Do you understand? Where's John B?"

"I don't know." Estrella strains. Rafe grabs her harder.

"Where's John B?" He yells

"We don't know!" Kie yells

"Where's John B? Huh?"

He lets go as he's hit on the back. Estrella takes a deep breath as Pope comes into view when Rafe falls. Kie catches her as she falls back into her.

"Don't touch her!" He says as he hits Rafe again with a pipe. He swings again, but Rafe ducks and punches him. Pope drops the pipe. When Rafe swings again, Pope dodges it and punches him again and again.

"Rafe!" Barry yells as his attention is drawn to Pope.

JJ grabs at his ankle and trips him and he drops the gun, "Star! Kick it!"

The girl immediately kicks it under the boat. JJ jumps up and pulls Barry up to his feet. He slams him against the boat and knees him before pushing him to the ground.

"Pope." Kie says. JJ and Estrella's attention is drawn to Pope punching Rafe over and over, "Okay, Pope. Pope!"

"Hey, Pope!" JJ yells

"Pope, that's good! Stop!" Estrella yells as they run over

"He's had enough, dude."

Pope punches Rafe causing him to turn the other way. Pope takes a wire and wraps it around Rafe's neck.

"He's good." Kie says, but Pope keeps pulling

"Stop it, Pope." Estrella says

"Snap out of it, dude!"

"Pope!"

"Stop, dude!"

"Pope, that's too much!" Kie yells

"Dude, come on! Stop! Stop, dude!"

"Pope, stop!"

"Pope! Get off!"

"Let go! Come on!" JJ yells as he grabs at Popes shoulders. Estrella grabs his arm.

"Look at me!" Kie yells.

Pope lets up as Estrella pushes him away. JJ holds onto his shoulders to pull him further back before letting go. Rafe drops to the ground.

"Shit. Oh, shit." JJ breathes. Estrella looks to Pope who has a wild look in his eyes.

"It's okay." Kie says

Rafe coughs as he turns over. Blood covering his mouth as he breathes heavily.

"Okay, we gotta go. We gotta go." Kie says before she walks toward the car. JJ and Estrella hesitate as they watch Pope.

"Stay off the cut." He spits

"Pope." Estrella says. He steps over Rafe and follows her to the car.
