The five teens were sat outside enjoying each other's company. No one really saying much, but they all knew that they needed it. Kie was sat playing her ukulele and JJ putting wax on his surfboard. Pope looks over at him.

"That's a lot of wax on your board, man. You put too much wax on there, it's gonna be slippery."

JJ stood, "Are you telling me how to wax my board, Pope?"

"No, I was just saying that's a lot of wax." Pope shrugs

"You guys are not serious right now." Estrella groans

"You're telling me how to wax my board. Are you kidding me?"

"I'm just saying that's a colossal waste of wax." Pope shrugs before turning to Estrella, "You make boards, it's a lot of wax, right?"

"Guys, really?" Kie says

JJ's head snaps up as he hears a car honking, "Did you hear that?"

The others looking over as the honking gets louder. They jump as they see John B stop the twinkie.

"Hold on." JJ says

"Are you serious?" Kie says

"Hold on. Am I dreaming?"

"No!" Pope exclaims

"Guess who's out of the clink, boy!" John B smiles shutting the door

"No freaking way, man!"

"Oh my god." Estrella chuckles as she and Kie hug John B

"Bro!" Pope laughs as he joins the hug

"My boy's out of the ca !" JJ smiles as he wraps his arms around everyone

"Come on!"

"We missed you." Kie says. Charlotte looks down as she stands off to the side.

"I missed you guys too." John B says

"How'd you do it?" JJ asks as they pull away, "You bust out?"

"Uh, they dropped the charges."

"They dropped the charges." Pope repeats

"Really?" Estrella says

"Yeah." John B nods

"That's phenomenal!" Kie says

"You're telling me I did all that work for nothing?" JJ says

"Oh, the most elaborate escape plan of all time?" Pope says

"Foolproof." Kie says making quotation marks

"Yeah, it was, actually." JJ says

"It wasn't. At all." Estrella says as John B looks around them

"Wait, where's Sarah?" He interjects. He becomes nervous as his friend stay silent, "No, no, no. Where... where... where's Sarah?"

"She went to go meet Wheezie last night." Estrella says, "She didn't come back."

John B sighs as he looks away from her.

After greeting John B, and him finding out about Sarah, the teens were sitting around on the H.M.S. John B asking a million questions about Sarah that they didn't have the answer to.

"So, Sarah just dips and doesn't call?" John B says sitting up from the railing on the dock

"Yeah, man. She just left her bag. Didn't tell anybody." Pope shrugs

"Okay, dude, I... I... I really think Ward got to her." John B says, "I mean, the dude tried to have me killed in jail."

"What?" Estrella exclaims as they all turn to him

"Yeah." He nods, "He sent somebody to the prison who yoked me up and almost killed me."

"You serious?" Kie says

"Yes."

"Do we know who this dude was?" JJ asks

"No, I have no idea." John B says climbing onto the boat, "Dude, I just swear to God, one day I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch."

"It's okay." Kie says looking out on the water. Estrella frowns at her, but looks in the direction she was.

"No, Kie, it's not okay. We gotta find Sarah."

"No, literally, it's okay." Estrella points, "She's right there."

They watch as Sarah pulls up on a boat with none other than Topper. Estrella wincing as she notices John B's expression.

"John B!" Sarah yells

"What the hell is she doing with Topper?" Kie asks

"Was literally thinking the same thing." Estrella mutters

Pope and John B stand up as Topper's boat stops by theirs. Pope holding the boat in place so Sarah can get off.

"Hi." John B says

"Hey!" Sarah laughs immediately hugging him

"Oh my God. I'm so glad you're okay. Hi."

"I didn't know if I'd see you again." Sarah breathes as they pull away, "What happened?"

"Uh, they dropped all the charges."

"What?"

"Yeah, no, yeah, I'm a free man. Yeah."

Sarah laughs as she hugs him again, "That's amazing."

"I know. It's great, but..." John B pauses, "But listen, Sarah, they're coming after Rafe."

"Good. He's completely unhinged." She says, "He jumped me last night."

"What?" Kie exclaims

"That's why I didn't come back."

"Yeah, man. Rafe has lost his mind." Topper says, "Literally almost drowned his own sister. Thankfully, I got there... got there just in time."

Estrella rolls her eyes as Sarah nods, "Yeah, he did."

"Uh, well, I guess I owe you one, Topper, don't I?" John B says

Topper scoffs, "It's all good. I mean, somebody had to rescue your girlfriend, right?"

JJ looks down as John B chuckles, "Uh, that's funny because she's not actually my girlfriend, right?"

"Uh..." Topper chuckles, "Well, what is she then?"

"Tell him." John B nods

"I'm..." She trails off, "I'm with him."

John B's face drops as Estrella grimaces, "Yikes."

Topper laughs, "Gotcha. You're with him. Okay, yeah. I just, like, needed a little clarity there. You guys clear on that?"

"I think it's clear you gotta go now." JJ says scratching his eyebrow

"Think I'll head out. It's about that time."

"Topper. Thank you." Sarah says hugging him

"Yeah, of course. I'm just glad you're okay." He says eyeing John B

Estrella lets out a breath as she turns to Charlotte. The blonde's eyes widening before she looks down.

JJ and Estrella were sat on the patio. Charlotte decided to stay on the dock while everyone else dispersed elsewhere. He had tried to drink with John B, but apparently he and Sarah had gotten into an argument.

Estrella laid with her back on the armrest of the couch and her feet out in front of her. JJ sat on the other side of the couch with his arm laying on the back of it.

"Can I ask you something?" She says

JJ turns to her, "Shoot."

"Do you think that any of this is actually gonna end?" She says, "Like we'll go back to normal?"

"Eventually." JJ says, "It has to, right?"

"Yeah." She mutters as she looks down. JJ's eyebrows furrow as he watches her.

"You missing your mom?"

Estrella nods before looking up, "I just don't understand what happened. It's like she just flipped a switch. After midsummers, she just changed."

"Well, maybe something happened."

"Like, what? Like Ward or someone talked to her?" When JJ stays silent, Estrella looks at him, "You think Ward got to her?"

"I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that maybe she was told something that isn't the complete truth. And seeing as we're not the kids who always follow the rules, it's not hard to convince people we're lying."

"Yeah, but I'm her daughter." Estrella scoffs, "I've never lied to her. You would think she would believe me."

JJ shrugs, "Worst come to worst, you'll be stuck with us."

Estrella chuckles, "I'm already stuck with you guys."

"Exactly." He says, "Not so bad right?"

"I mean, I did get shot at, so."

"Yeah, that's pretty bad." He says. Estrella throws her head back in laughter. JJ smiles softly as he watches her. He looks down as his phone begins ringing. Estrella's laughter dies down as he answers.

"Hello?" He says. Estrella frowns as she watches JJ's face drops, "Are you serious?"

"What?" Estrella says as JJ sits up, "Jay?"

"Yeah, we're on our way." He says before he hangs up

"What happened?"

"Pope's dad." He says and they immediately jump up. As they step off of the porch, JJ runs toward Pope. Estrella follows behind as quickly as she could.

"Pope! Pope!" JJ pants as he approaches Pope and Kie, "Just got a call from Guffy. Something happened to your pops."

"What?" Pope says as he follows after JJ. Estrella and Kie running after them.

"John B! Sarah! Charlotte! Come on!" Kie yells
