ACE (Jeff X Reader) -The Death Card

Smile looked up at the girl, his eyes blinking sleepily as he rested his head on top of his fore-paws, watching the girl awake and sitting herself up on the couch. The girl turned her head to look at Smile, which he quickly looked away. 

He'd hoped the girl didn't notice him.

"Smile?" 

Fuck, Smile thought, forcing himself to turn back around towards the girl's sight. 

"Hmm?" 

"Did anything.." The girl hesitated, "happen last night? Something weird?" She added. 

Smile sunk his head deeper into his paws and mumbled out a "No.." while thinking and replaying the situation he had seen last night in his mind.

The girl nodded slowly, before glancing at the empty dim lit hallway. "Hey, is Jeff in his room?" She asked to Smile.

Smile perked his head up in interest. "Yeah, I guess." Before sinking his head down to his paws and closing his eyes.

The girl pursed her lips, looking at Smile. 

Such help, she thought, as she lifted herself up from the couch slowly and managed to stumble a few steps without waking Smile up and continuing in her normal routine steps, walking forward until she found a door to the right that was slightly open. 

The girl pressed her ear to the door. 

No sound.

She peeked her eye through the tiny crack, but couldn't see anything much. She decided to slowly reach the doorknob and turn it, but before she could, the door suddenly flew open, and the girl stumbled forward and collided into someone.

Face hot, and eyes closed. The girl slowly peeked one eye upwards and saw Jeff in his white T-Shirt, staring down at her, awkwardly holding her. His black hair was shiny, as if he had just washed it, shirt still damp-wet. 

Immediately, the girl stepped backwards, face blushing as she looked down. "S-Sorry," she muttered, before speed-walking out of the room and down towards the hallway. Once she reached the leg of the couch, she flopped down and buried her face underneath her pillow, kicking her legs on the sofa couch leg. 

After a few minutes of calming herself down, she lifted her head up to take an enormous breath in, before resting her chin upon the silky stitching of the pillow, before Jeff's voice crept up into her ear.

"Hey, you ready for today's game with LJ?" 

The girl cringed at the sound of his voice, not turning around. "I guess.." The girl hesitated, mumbling underneath the pillow. 

The girl didn't hear Jeff speak, so she assumed that he had gone somewhere else, but she suddenly felt a sharp pain that lasted for a second, making her jerk and turn around to see Jeff poking her on the back. 

The girl rubbed her back and sat up, annoyed. "What?" 

"I made breakfast." Jeff said in a monotone voice, as if he had just accomplished something without even doing it right.

Staring at Jeff for a long time, her eyes flickered towards the kitchen table to see two bowls on each opposite sides, and she could see a tiny bowl in the corner of her eye that was sitting on the floor, which she assumed was Smile's breakfast.

She glanced back up at Jeff. "What is it?" She asked him suspiciously.

Jeff held his hands up in defense, his face turning light pink, but thankfully was oblivious to the girl's notice since his hair was mostly covering up his face already. 

"It's cereal." He answered, looking down at the girl's hand that was resting on the couch. He felt the urge to reach out to it somehow, but as he glanced back up at the girl, he suddenly felt weak and lost the courage to do so. 

Jeff was up late last night. He was searching on his computer and asking his close friend, BEN for some tips on girls like Y/N. But BEN didn't really help that much, in fact, even making it worse. He ended up trusting the steps on the wiki on the website that was the first link he clicked on.

He repeated the steps on his head over and over, until morning. He didn't get to sleep last night, but it was worth it, he thought to himself. He stood up and still felt the stare of the girl's eyes trained on him as he pulled a chair out and sat criss-cross, directly in front of the girl before patting the table and looking towards her. 

The girl slowly got up from her spot, though her eyes didn't flinch away from Jeff as she sat next to him, and looked down at the bowl. The cereal was all mushed up from the milk, and it didn't look that appetizing, but the girl took whatever she could eat.

She picked up the spoon and spooned up the top of the cereal, since it wasn't completely downed in milk yet, and dipped the remaining into the milk just a little bit before spooning it into her mouth and chewing slowly.

Jeff was across from her, watching her intensely as she ate the cereal. "So?" He asked the girl. "How is it?"

The girl shrugged, spooning another bite. "It's okay, I mean, it's just cereal after all," she added.

Jeff nodded slowly, and looked at his own bowl, and scooped some onto his spoon and eating the first bite. He didn't know what triggered him, but he suddenly felt nauseous and the urge to throw up. He swallowed, and stood up, and began walking towards the couch to lay down.

The girl noticed, and watched Jeff rise up from his seat, looking at his bowl. "Why? What's wrong?" She asked curiously, watching as Jeff plopped down and hid his face with his arm. 

"You eat ahead, I didn't sleep last night.." Jeff trailed off, before being silent again.

The girl stared at him for a few seconds, worrying rising up, but she decided to do what Jeff had asked, and continued downing her bowl of cereal down. Once she finished, she stood up, making little to no noise to wake the sleeping Jeff up, and began walking her way towards the sink to wash the bowl. 

She saw Smile watching her every move in the corner of her eye and turned towards him. "Are you hungry? You're staring at me like I'm your prey." She said, trying to add a little side joke to lighten up the mood of the atmosphere.

Smile just shrugged, making the girl suddenly feel self-conscious and awkward, that Smile didn't even acknowledge the joke she made. Smile shape shifted into his usual human form and stood up, though he immediately regretted it as soon as he hit his head on the kitchen table.

He fell back down, and rubbed his head painfully before crawling out on all four limbs and climbed out, stretching his back. The girl watched as Smile stepped towards Jeff's seat and sat down, looking down at the bowl for a few seconds. 

The girl peered around Smile. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Don't you like cereal?" 

Smile turned around to face the girl. "I prefer dog food more." 

The girl stook her tongue out in disgust. "Seriously?" She asked.

Smile nodded. "Yes, seriously." 

"You're weird, you know that?" She muttered under her breath before turning towards the cupboards, opening them one by one in search of dog food. 

Smile heard her and stood up. The girl heard the creek among the chair sliding against the floor, but she pretended she didn't notice. That was until Smile grabbed her wrist, forcing her to turn towards him. 

"Indeed I am." He breathed.

The girl quivered, looking at Smile. 

Smile let go of her wrist and glanced up at the open cupboards. "It's the far bottom left," he added, before turning away and sitting back down. 

The girl felt her face hot before muttering curse words underneath her breath and opening the far bottom left cupboard just as Smile had instructed. Three to four cans of dog food were piled up there, so she got out one can and dumped the slimy substance into a bowl. 

She cringed at the smell as she tossed the left over can away and set the bowl down on the floor, Smile's gaze was watching it intensely. As soon as the bowl was set down, Smile immediately sprang into his normal dog-form and leapt down from the seat before prancing around the bowl, digging into it. 

The girl watched Smile eat the bowl before cringing herself, looking away towards Jeff's direction, who was still resting. She curiously tip-toed over to him, and saw that he hadn't moved. She thought he was asleep by now, so she crept closer to him, her hair dangling above his face. 

The girl pursed her lips, and lifted her head up. She was about to walk away until she felt something grip her hand really tightly, and a second later, she fell back down and landed on top of Jeff. Her face was directly against his chest and as she looked up, Jeff was looking at her, their faces barely an inch apart. 

Feeling her heart thump loudly, the girl immediately tried to step off Jeff, but Jeff's grip tightened on her wrist, pulling her back down. 

"L-Let go of me.." The girl stammered, her face hot red. 

Jeff shook his head. "Not yet," he whispered. "I want to try something first." 

At that exact same moment, he lifted his head up and softly pressed his lips against the girl's. The girl's eyes widened but she didn't resist. Warmth spread up to her lips as the instinct took over her, she sank into the deep warm pleasure and closed her eyes.

Soon, they both parted for breath at the same time, panting. 

"You liked that didn't you?" Jeff teased her, smirking, out of breath.

The girl panted, blushing. She was out of breath too. Both of them caught their breath, and soon awkwardly realised that they were still one on top of each other, making the girl's face slowly redden even more. 

Jeff's arms snaked around the girl's waist and gently lowered her down with ease, the girl's face flat on Jeff's chest. She smirked a bit as she could hear Jeff's heart thump loudly against his chest. "Are you gonna let go of me now?" The girl asked, after a few moments.

"Not yet," Jeff sighed. "I just wanna stay like this a bit longer.." 

The girl looked up at him. "Something wrong?" 

"Hmm?"

"Something wrong?" The girl repeated, blinking up at him. "You won't even let me go," 

Jeff adjusted his arms and wrapped the girl around him tighter. "I guess I just missed you after we parted our own ways," he said, shrugging. 

He released his arms around the girl and nodded his head down towards the hallway. "LJ's waiting. Good luck," he added.

The girl slowly got off him. "Just like that?" She asked.

"What?" 

"You could give me a little better goodbye?" The girl said, raising one of her eyebrows. 

Jeff got up as well and walked behind the girl. He rested his chin upon the girl's head, wrapping his arms around her. "Better?" He asked, through a mouthful of hair. 

The girl turned around to face Jeff. She stood on her tip-toes and planted Jeff a little smack on the lips on his nose. Embarassed, the girl walked off towards the hallway, prentending like nothing happened. 

She could hear Jeff shout from down the hallway. "Who do you take after?" in a teasing tone.

The girl kept walking, but tossed the words over her shoulder. "I take after you, dumbass!" before quickly entering the room before she could hear Jeff's protesting excuse.

She suddenly felt frail again as she entered the dark room. She couldn't see any sign of LJ anywhere. She muttered under her breath, wondering if Jeff actually spoke the truth of LJ being here. 

"Damn it," The girl murmured, cursing under her breath.

Suddenly very large hands covered up the girl's eyesight, and she suddenly felt the room turn very cold. She shivered as she felt a prescence behind her. 

"Y/N.. Ready for another game?" The clown's voice hissed in her ear. 

The girl nodded, trying to ignore her fear, gulping. She could hear the clown letting out a dark chuckle. "This will be quite a fun game won't it?" He asked.

The girl trembled. "W-What do you mean?" She asked.

The clown sighed and shook his head before lowering his voice so the girl could hear him quietly. "This will be a fun game, I guarentee it." He repeated. 

"How do you know that?" The girl mumbled, thinking of all the far worst possibilities the clown meant by 'fun'.

"Because," the clown stated, smoke rising up around him and the girl, swirling up towards their ankles. He smirked and continued his sentence. "I'm involved in it."
