"So? How'd it go?" Jeff asked, narrowing his eyes at Smile.

"Yeah, it's fine," Smile said, quickly looking away before rubbing his neck.

Jeff didn't say anything more, just staring at Smile suspiciously with his un-moving cold eyes. Smile then perked his head up before smirking back at Jeff. "Hmm.. Are you worried about her?" He asked, his tone rising up.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Jeff retorted back. "She's in the hands of a psycho-killer clown.." He muttered, looking away.

"Whatever you say, master." Smile shrugged, before hopping over the couch and slowly sinking into the couch. "But, aren't you a psycho killer too?" He asked, eyes gleaming curiously.

"At least I'm not that psychotic like that clown.." Jeff muttered, his tone slowly giving out on him. Am I? He thought, staring at his hands.

"Haha," Smile laughed from behind him. "You do like that girl, don't you? I guess it makes sense. That girl is really interesting, isn't she?" Smile asked.

"Shut up.." Jeff muttered, shooting a glare at Smile as he stood up from the couch.

"Bishop, Diagonal-Left!"

"Queen, Diagonal-Right!"

The two opponents have been battling for almost an hour now. The girl had began to sweat nervously, though she was trying not to give her best away, still keeping her attention, though her patience was losing it.

LJ, on the other side of the massive chess board, was chilling with ease, leaning against his black chess piece King, not budging at all as he smirked at the girl from the opposite direction. So far into the game, the girl was losing. But she still had a few options left to win the game, or manage to lose a life out of the three that she had.

She stared despairingly as the clown's black Queen chess piece grew twice of it's original size before lifting up, and smashing the girl's white Bishop chess piece into little bits. She glanced back at the clown who was staring at her, his gaze not moving.

I must get to his King. The girl thought. And fast.

LJ seemed to notice the distress in the girl's eyes before calling out to her, "Want a break?"

The girl shook her head, denying his offer. "No, let's finish the game." She called back, her tone, icily.

The hourglass resumed back to it's sand flowing towards the bottom. It was almost empty, the girl thought, eyeing it. Even though the clown had capture her white Bishop chess piece, with using his black Queen chess piece, he didn't have any other strong forces left, except for the King, and a few remaining black chess pieces along side of it.

I still have my Queen left, the girl thought, her heart beating fast. She could see that if she moved her Queen forward, she could end the game by destroying the clown's King. It would be all over, she added with a relief sigh.

Gaining confidence and courage, she called out, "Queen, Forward!" with bravery in her voice.

She backed a few steps away from her white chess piece before it started making a rumbling noise, lifting itself from it's place and gliding softly forwards towards the clown's black King. Let all of this be over, the girl pleaded, staring at her chess piece which was a few squares away from victory.

But just as her white Queen chess piece was one square away from the clown's black King, she could see that the black chess piece moved towards the far left end of the chess board. The girl's eyes slowly went wide as she yelled across the chessboard, "Hey! That's cheating!"

She could see that the clown was shrugging without care, making the girl's eyes blaze in anger, clenching her fist into a ball tightly.

"Hey, this is the imagination, after all." LJ called out, reminding her.

"Then two of us can play this game," the girl hissed under her breath, storming back to her place. If this is the imagination, the girl thought. Couldn't I just imagine to destroy the chess piece, and the game would be all over?

She glanced back up at the black King chess piece that was in the far left end of the chessboard. Easy to say, she thought. Hard to do. She shifted her head to the left and saw her imaginary stuffed teddy bear sitting there, it's head down.

Then, I have to try. The girl thought, nodding. She closed her eyes, imagining every little detail. Her white Queen chess piece thrusting it's way towards the black King chess piece, before meeting it, changing it's size, and lifting it until it was directly above the small black King.

But suddenly, as she was about to vision the black King chess piece being smashed to bits by her white Queen, everything suddenly stopped. The girl tried visioning again, but something was blocking it. The girl opened her eyes, to see that she wasn't standing in the gigantic room where the game was held at.

Instead, she was floating in a black void. The girl looked around, surprised. She could breathe, yes. She wasn't in an underwater black theme. But she had to swim. It was as if she was in outer-space. She saw a little white dot out of all the blackness, and decided to swim towards it, despite her curioustiy.

She paddled forward, seeing that the white spot was getting larger and larger by each thrust of her hand, she began paddling forward until she bent down, and jumped, landing on the white platform. She was on ground again.

The girl turned around, to see the black voidness. "What is this place?" She asked out loud.

An unfamiliar voice boomed above her. "What brings you here, child?"

The girl whipped around, to see nobody talking, nobody there. "Whose there?" She called out.

Silence filled the room, making the girl nervous again. "I-I'm sorry," The girl called out, her tone more soft. "I'm just scared."

The voice boomed again. "Apologies accepted, child. As you can tell, I do not wish to share private information. Do you know why you are here?"

The girl recalled back to her vision of smashing the clown's King, ending the game. She glanced back up again into the black void. "I think so," she said. "I was trying to imagine winning the game I have been playing with my opponent." The girl explained.

"Ahh." The voice said, it's tone soothed as if it understood now. "Chess, perhaps?"

"Y-Yes." The girl stammered. "Could I go back?" She asked.

"Tsk, Tsk. Wishes come with prices." The voice said. "And prices come with sacrifies." Suddenly, the girl felt as if a gentle hand was soothing it's palm against the girl's cheek, making her flinch.

"My, My.." The voice cooed, the invisible hand had now disappeared. "Such a pretty face you have." It complimented.

"Thanks.." The girl muttered.

"Anyways," the voice continued. "You must pass this test, in order to get out, and win the complete game."

Suddenly, the girl heard a loud snap of fingers before she was suddenly dragged out of the white platform by nobody. Strong force was pushing her backwards towards out the black void. Startled, the girl started panicking, limbs out, she tried strangling the force, but ended up losing her strength and floated out into the black void.

The girl panted, only hearing her loud breathing, making her even scared. Suddenly, a vision popped up in her mind. She was staring out into an open dark room. But there was a light, shining directly above a person, his matted black hair was covering his face as the girl went around to look. He was all covered in blood, cuts, bruises, and was stuck to a chair, the ropes were digging into his pale skin.

Scared, the girl carefully lifted the person's head up, revealing the wide cuts on each side of the person's mouth, ending up in wide smiles, his eyelids were gone, now covered in large heavy bags beneath his eyes.

Horrified, the girl stepped back, covering her mouth, trying her best not to scream as tears poured out of her eyes, shaking her head violently. "Jeff.. No.." She whispered through her clamped mouth.

Suddenly, Jeff let out a desperate scream, cut short by a gag as if somebody had kicked his stomach. He bent down and started coughing large drops of blood onto the ground. He wheezed and dropped to the ground, chair following him. He coughed and wheezed, as if he were struggling to breathe.

Quickly, the girl dropped to her knees as well, and layed beside Jeff, holding his trembling body against hers as she wrapped him into a tight hug, tears streaming down her face. She rubbed his spiky hair that was dried from blood softly. "Jeff," She whispered softly. "What happened?" She choked on her words, tears flowing out uncontrollably.

Despite his weakness, Jeff tiredly glanced up at the girl before letting himself go of the girl's tight embrace. He then glared with all the strength he had left with him before pushing the girl lightly out of his way. A thin trickle of blood made it's way down Jeff's mouth.

The girl saw this, and moved, trying to wipe the blood out of Jeff's mouth, but as soon as she touched his skin, Jeff flinched, not looking at her. "Jeff," she pleaded. "Why are you doing this? Just let me help you.."

Jeff looked back at her, glaring. "You never helped," he whispered angrily. "All you did was bring harm and pain to me. Can't you see that?" He spat.

The girl flinched, and immediately, Jeff choked, and wheezed, collapsing to the ground, coughing up blood. "Jeff!" The girl cried, rushing to his side.

But Jeff still refused. He held out a weak hand to stop her from coming any further. "Just stop.." He pleaded. "Let me just rest in peace," he mumbled, his voice getting faint. "For once.."

He stopped breathing.

The girl couldn't believe what had happened, she tried reaching out towards Jeff's body, but she then stopped, curling her fingers into a ball. "No.." The girl whispered, looking away.

This couldn't be right. This isn't Jeff. This isn't Jeff.. This is all just a test, like the voice had said. It's just an illusion. It's not real, it's not real. Stop believing it. The girl mumbled, trying to calm herself down.

Numbly, she looked back down at Jeff's un-moving body before slowly reaching out to him. As soon as she set fingers upon his skin, the tiniest trace of his skin cracked open. Eyes wide, the girl traced her fingers lightly above the crack, before there was a loud cracking sound, followed by another crack, until finally, Jeff's body was slowly dissolving into little bits, before disintergrating into the air.

"What.." The girl mumbled confusedly, looking at her palms. Suddenly, she looked up to see the dark room she was now in, had begun to crack, just like Jeff's body, it slowly dissolved and disintergrated, allowing a space for the girl to walk forward.

The girl did so, she stood up and numbly made her way towards the small crack. She traced her fingers around the little hole just as she did with Jeff's face, and immediately, the wall started cracking, light was shining through. It was so bright that the girl had to shield her face with her hands, before suddenly, she heard a loud hissing noise, the light was getting brighter.

The girl finally realized what was happening. "Shit, it's an explosion!"

She couldn't do anything, but brace herself, curling herself into a tiny ball, squeezing her eyes shut, blocking any bright light. Suddenly the voice boomed over her. "Congratulations," it said. "You have passed my test, and shall now have my permission to win the game of chess with your opponent. May luck be with you," it added.

Just at the few remaining seconds as the whole void was about to explode and send her back to the game, the girl let out a tiny smile underneath her hidden face, before the void exploded, sending her flying and crashing into something hard. The light had now disappeared, and she found herself standing in the broken chessboard, as she opened her eyes.

She leaned against a half broken Bishop piece. She couldn't make out clearly what color it was, but she regained her vision soon as she saw another lying figure in the distance. The game chess pieces were almost all shattered, the large table platform, was a little cracked, but as she turned to her left, she could see the little stuffed teddy bear she had wished for, still sitting there, smiling at her, not moving at all. It had still remained in place, even after all this explosion.

She turned around to hear a moan and saw a blurry tall figure stand up. She could make out the figure and saw that it was the clown, leaning against a half broken chess piece too, rubbing his head. He weakly glanced up to see the girl staring at him. His mouth was open, surprised before he staggered towards the broken chess board, now looked as if it had been through a battlefield.

He made his way towards the girl and saw her weak body lying there. Carefully, the clown picked her body up, about to teleport her out of the game before he caught the eye of the little stuffed bear, sitting there in the far end left of the large massive table.

Sighing, he picked it up as well, smokes and ashes were slowly rising up towards his ankles and surrounded him and the girl before teleporting the both of them out. Mid-way towards the teleportation, he glanced at the little stuffed teddy bear that was smiling at him. He surprisingly smiled back before whispering, "Good game, Y/N. You win for now. Congratulations."
