ACE (Jeff X Reader) ~The Death Card
ಠﭛಠ
Jeff didn't know the girl had finished the task so quickly in an hour exactly. He had been waiting for the girl where he had imprisoned her. He had felt an empty dark feeling inside of him, nobody was with him. He missed the feeling of the girl. He missed her. Deciding to get rid of his thoughts, he went outside, merely glancing once more at the dark empty room the girl was once in before he had left.
He patted his polished sharp knife, feeling reasurred by it's sharpness which he fiddled with his fingers with carelessness, though aware not to cut his fingers. Suddenly he heard a rustle between the bushes around him and immediately he felt a pair of eyes watching him. Uncomfortable, he gripped the handle of his knife and glanced around the clearing.
He stood there silently, before hearing another rustle among the bushes, in front of him which seemed to rustle more and more as Jeff approached the rustling bush even more further until he slowly touched the soft leaves of the bush before rapidly pushing them out, revealing a dark huddled figure in the bushes.
He hovered his knife just above the dark figure's head before it slowly turned around to look at him. Sighing in relief, Jeff slowly placed his knife down and stared at the dark figure.
"EJ, what are you doing?"
The dark figure slowly stood up. He was as tall as Jeff, his black hoodie covering much of his face, but the moonlight shined on a tiny portion of his dark blue mask, showing the features of the black empty sockets which had black liquid slowly trickling down.
"What are you doing here?"Jeff questioned the male.
The hooded figure didn't respond except holding up his grey hand, which was trickling from blood and on top of his palm, he clutched a half eaten kidney.
Jeff made a gesture as if he was about to throw up. "Oh god. Can't you that somewhere else?"
The hooded figure let out a soft chuckle before lifting his mask with his grey fingers, just above his mouth where he smiled and opened his mouth, revealing rows of shiny white sharp teeth that still had tiny pieces of flesh hanging onto the corners of his teeth, blood showing as he ate the kidney, ripping it out and slowly devouring it before the hooded figure licked his lips as he finished his meal.
Jeff stared at the male until he finished. "So, what are you doing here?" Jeff repeated his question.
The hooded figure shrugged. "This isn't your territory." He simply stated. "Stop acting like an animal."
Jeff gripped his knife tighter and was about to protest but the hooded figure held out a finger to stop him from saying anything else. He continued his sentence. "I came here to see you. Want to go off killing just like the old days?" He offered, tilting his head.
Jeff grinned his big smile. "I thought you'd never ask." He played with his knife, catching it with one hand, then another, tossing it between his two hands. The hooded figure didn't seem to notice the tossing knife as he calmly said, "Family of six." He raised up a huge bloody sack that he had randomly got out of the bushes. "I want you to help me out. I'm running low."
"And what do I get in return?" Jeff asked, tilting his head as he tossed the knife faster and faster between his two hands, catching it each time with accuracy. The hooded male hesitated. "What do you want then?"
Jeff catched the knife in his right hand and stepped forwards towards the hooded male. "You." He whispered.
The hooded figure stood silent and still for a moment before Jeff let out a laugh. "Ha! You're so easy to scare!" He mocked.
"Pssh." The hooded figure shook his head. "Whatever, let's just go already." Without waiting for Jeff's response, he hoisted the sack above his back and climbig up the trees, as the trees swayed back and forth until it balanced the hooded figure.
"When did you learn to do that?" Jeff called up to the hooded male. "Just now," The male called back. "It's easier without letting the victim notice."
"Huh," Jeff murmured quietly to himself. He heard the trees rustle and he looked up to see the hooded male taking off without waiting for him. Jeff tucked his knife into his pocket of his white hoodie. He then pulled his hood down, not showing his face as he rapidly ran up to catch up with the hooded male who was jumping from tree to tree.
As soon as he quickly caught up with the hooded figure they both stopped, looking ahead of them. "It's just like the old days," the hodded figure called from above. "Yeah, sure is." Jeff agreed before taking off again, sprinting swiftly through the forest as the hooded male above jumped from tree to tree silently, each tree he landed slowly swayed back and forth just like the wind was blowing on it.
Soon, they came across the border of the forest, though there were enough trees for the hooded male to jump on. The city lights were beginning to light up as the night rose, it's inky black sky slowly sperading across the sky, eating up the bright atmosphere, as if it were chasing after the Day's tail.
"Left!" The hodded male shouted above from the treetrops. Jeff obeyed, veering sharply to the left, towards a small neighbor as the hooded figure followed behind more carefully. In just a few minutes, they both reached a tiny house, it's smoke rising from the chimney as all the lights were turned off as Jeff could see through the foggy window.
The hooded figure landed softly with a quiet thud, the ground slowly spilling out it's dust as he landed. Jeff turned around to the hooded figure and nodded at him. "Let's be quick," he said to the hodded male. "I have somewhere I have to go to after this." His mind immediately thought of the girl whose time was about to run out. His worries suddenl became flooding back to him, though he tried hard not to show it.
The hodded male stared at Jeff but said nothing, though he let out a soft smirk beneath his mask. "Alright," he nodded. "Let's get going." He hoisted his sack up his back and Jeff slowly took up his knife, tapping his finger against the blade, his smile slowly turning into a devilish smirk as he let out an innocent childish voice as he knocked on the door.
"Mommy?" He thought of the same moment he had killed his own parents and Liu as well. He felt his eyes beginning to sting, as if tears were about to happen. His mouth trembled as he continued. "I'm home."
