Part 31

ACE (Jeff X Reader)- The Death Card

                                                      ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ (Gotta go fast >:3)

-WARNING: There might be some strong language ahead.-

"On the count of three?"

Nod.

"1.."

"2.."

"CHARGEEEE!!"

"Wait, I didn't even say three yet!" The clown shrieked, but it was too late, as the shackle pulled him along side with the girl, charging straight ahead.

The girl felt a surge of determination in her, as she rounded the corner, and narrowed to a stop, dragging the clown behind her.

"Jesus, you're fast." The clown panted.

But the girl didn't hear him. Her gaze was fixed upon the series of extreme obstacles they had to go in. "Do we have to go through all of that?" The girl whispered, her gaze still fixed.

"Ahh, for fuckssake." The clown muttered. "I'm gonna kill him for this."

The girl turned her head around. "Did he really say we have to go through this bare-handed? Don't we have like, any thing to prepare us? Like teleportation?"

The clown shook his head miserably.

The girl groaned. "I swear to God.."

"I hope I make it out alive.." The clown murmured under his breath.

The girl stared at him.

"What?"

"Are you seriously just thinking about getting yourself alive?" The girl spat.

The clown shrugged. "No shit. Let's just get this over with.."

The girl nodded.

So off they went, luckily for them, the first obstacle wasn't so hard or dangerous. It was just a mere ladder climbing underneath a bottomless pit.

"I'm scared of heights!" The clown shouted.

"Aren't you afraid of dying more?" The girl narrowed her eyes.

"Still!"

The girl mentally rolled her eyes. She pulled herself over the wall and stared down at the clown who was clutching the ladder for dear life. She pulled him up as well.

"Wow, you're heavy."

"Shut up. Keep moving."

The girl didn't know if it was true, but as they passed each obstacle, it felt like the chain of the shackle was getting longer, and it wasn't squeezing her wrist so much as before. The girl felt a tiny flame of hope as she kept moving along.

The girl had lost count of how many obstacles they had past, but it seemed to be getting harder.

The obstacle ahead was to jump onto moving blocks that seemed to jerk up and down each time.

"I'm going to throw up.." The clown muttered.

"We haven't crossed it yet." The girl said. "C'mon."

The clown sighed and stepped forward, dragging the girl along with him as they set foot into the bouncing platform. The first one was easy, but as soon as they started getting higher, they're statistics had to be exactly on-point.

Or they die.
Both.

The girl bounced in the air along with the green-faced clown. "We're almost there!" The girl shouted encouragingly.

The clown grunted.

The girl watched the moving platform ahead, bouncing up and down carefully. She turned back towards the clown who was also looking at her.

He nodded.

The girl took a deep breath.
"Now!"

They both flailed their legs in the open air and safely landed onto the next platform.

Barely.

"Thank god, this is the last one.." The girl muttered.

The clown grunted in agreement once again.

"Huh. This one seems the easiest out of all them, even though it's the last platform." The girl said aloud to herself.

The clown rolled his eyes. "That's a good thing."

"I'm not so sure.." The girl trailed off, her eyes still fixed onto the slow moving platform.

"At least we'll be out of this soon." The clown said.

"Alright."

The girl and the clown studied the slow bouncing platform for a moment or two before they both jumped into the air, kicked their legs, but soon their eyes widened as soon as the platform changed.

It hadn't been easy at all. Once it knew that both the girl and the clown had jumped, it automatically moved itself farther away, making the girl and the clown lose aim, and missed their target.

Luckily, the girl had grabbed the edge of the moving bouncing platform.
But she knew she couldn't hold for long, plus the clown's weight and her own.

"A-Aghh!"

"Use all your strength!" The clown shouted from below.

The girl listened to him, and tried to pull herself up. After a few more grunts, she finally managed to pull herself up. But as soon as she could even rest, the platform started to move again. But this time, in a more furious way. It bounced the girl into the air, her eyes widened, as she lost balance, and fell into the bottomless pit that seemed to go on forever.

^+^

"Urghh.." The girl groaned as she groggily woke up. Her blurred vision slowly adjusted, but soon her head rang with a splitting headache.

"A-Am I alive..?" The girl asked to herself.

"Like hell you are." The girl heard the clown's voice answer.

Her vision adjusted and she could see the clown sitting beside her, as she sat up as well.

"What happened?"

The clown let out a loud sigh. "Thank Jesus, I saved you in time."

"Wha? How?" The girl asked.

There was no possible way that she could've made it out alive.. She saw herself falling into the bottomless pit, the wind tearing wildly around her. All of that.. It seemed so real. How could it be fake?

"You were hallucinating." The clown admitted.

"No I wasn't."

The clown stared at her. "I saw it for myself. You were acting all crazy, and slapped my face 5 times."

The girl could see the red fingerprints on the clown's pale face.
"Oh." The girl mumbled. "Sorry."

"And thank you," The girl added quickly.

"Don't sweat it. Oh, and by the way, I think this is the last obstacle." The clown said.

The girl perked up. "Really? How do you know that?"

The clown shrugged. "It's just that gut feeling you get. You get what I mean?"

"No."

The clown sighed. "Whatever, let's just move on and beat the shit out of Jeff once we claim victory."

The girl nodded, completely agreeing with the plan.

The girl stared straight ahead, though her eyes slowly grew wide, so did her mouth. What she saw was an unbelievable razor-sharp chainsaw, swinging back and forth wildly.

"No way.."

The clown abruptly stood up. "We have to do this." He said, in an un-expecting deep and determined voice.

"How do you know we'll make it out alive?" The girl asked.

"Gut feeling again." The clown said, blankly.

"Don't you feel it too?" The clown asked.

The girl wasn't really sure. But she felt determined to get out of this game alive. "Yes." She said, in an also deep voice.

"You sound like Sherlock Homes."

"Shut up, no I do not. Let's just do this once and for all."

"And now you sound like the Three Musketeers." The clown said.

"I should kill you first before I kill Jeff." The girl glared at him.

The clown remained silent, and the both of them stared ahead at the wildly sharp tips of the blade, swinging wildly.

"Are you ready?" The clown asked quietly.

"Gut feeling. Let's do it now or else I won't have the courage to ever do so." The girl muttered back.

The clown nodded. "Count of 3?" He suggested.

All the girl could do was nod.

"1.."

"2.." The clown's voice was getting shaky.

"3..!"

They jogged in a zig-zagged way. It was the clown's turn first. He had to cross the dangerous path. If both had tried to do it at the same time, it would be risky.

And there were no chances in this game.
None.

The clown took a deep breath, preparing himself.

"You can do it." The girl said, encouragingly. "Gut feeling."

The clown nodded, shakily.

He studied the movements of the chainsaws for a few moments before taking another deep breath, and hopping over.

He had made it.

"YES! LORD JESUS, THANK YOU!" The clown yelled, dropping to his knees and kissing the floor dramatically.

He turned around to face the girl. "Now it's your turn."

"Gut feeling." He added, smiling back.

The girl managed to smile a bit, though she suddenly felt nervous, her fingertips were getting cold, and she began to break into a sweat.

"It's okay." The clown soothed her. "You'll make it out alive."

He paused before adding, "We'll make it out alive."

The girl glanced back up at him, smiling a bit wider than before. "Okay.." The girl sighed, encouraging herself. "You can do this. Just a simple hop, right? What more could it do?"

But after a minute, she had lost confidence and her thoughts were running wild crazy. "No, I can't risk this. What if I time it wrong and end up losing a limb?!"

Time was ticking down. The girl knew that the game had a limit.
And she was losing time.

Suddenly, the clown's voice rang, stopping the war in her thoughts. "I believe in you." He said softly.

And the girl didn't hesitate any longer.
She jumped.

The whole time the girl was staring at the clown, but she noticed his eyes getting wide, and she suddenly felt like she landed hard onto the ground, everything feeling numb. 'What's going on?' The girl thought. 'I-I can't move..'

The girl glanced at the clown, who was mouthing something, rushing towards her, but she couldn't hear anything, just the loud static noise ringing in her ears, the waves crashing down on her.

She began to feel woozy and each blink became more tiring. The waves were crashing down on her, slamming. And it hurt so much. But at the same time, she couldn't feel anything. She felt something shaking her and looked up to see the clown cradling her into his arms.

She felt so small.
And she was so tired.

All she could do was blink once more, and let the waves claim her body, winning in victory, as she slipped into the bottomless, cold, dark pit once again.

The girl, had lost one life.

-*-

HEHEHEHE >:3
If you don't remember, by meaning she had lost one life, remember when LJ told her that she had three lives? And if she had lost one, she would only have two left.
Hehehe, I have the power to control this story..
