                                                                 ~*~

Only the loud sobs could be heard that echoed into the air and drifted off into the howling of the wind. The tears and the blood that had trickled down into one's mouth, tasting bitter and salty. The lying figure that was buried in the cold snow, wailing out for help and despair. He scrambled over towards the still figure lying a few inches away from him, and managed to drag himself up and stare at the forever sleeping angel.

"Please wake up.." He whispered through sobs.

There was no answer to his desperate call, which made him wail out and punch at the snow. "Why am I not dead yet?!" He shrieked at the top of his lungs. He slowly collapsed in sobs, murmuring the same thing over and over again. "Why am I not dead yet.. Why am I not with her yet.. Please let me die. Please let me die.."

He shook the still figure beside him gently, hoping to regain her conciousness. "Don't go to sleep. Don't leave me alone." He pleaded.

The still figure still didn't move.

He eventually gave up and just stood there, mourning over the corpse. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry I couldn't be there in time.."

And as if by magic, a door appeared, and slowly opened, shining light into the guy's wide eyes. He shielded his never-blinking eyes with his arms and looked away. As the light died, he slowly removed his arms and he gazed upon the door that appeared out of nowhere.

Soon, there were familiar faces that began to appear. He recognized them immediately.

Smile.

EJ.

LJ.

All three of them bundled against the door, looked at Jeff, then looked at the sleeping girl and immediately knew what happened, yet they remained silent. Finally it was Smile who moved first, trudging against the snow, slowly followed by EJ and LJ as well, all of them moving together towards Jeff with heavy hearts.

Smile nudged Jeff's hand with his nose, and curled up beside him. Jeff stared at his dog-friend and patted his fur covered in snow softly.

LJ dropped to his knees staring at the girl with sad eyes, and EJ just stood there, looming over everyone else, the black goo dripping more than ever.

"I'm so sorry.." The monochrome whispered, his black hair covered by the white snow.

Jeff shook his head slowly, tears beginning to form all over again.

EJ spoke up. "We should go now." He whispered.

Smile then stood up and padded over towards the girl. He sat down near LJ's lap before walking towards the girl's face, and licked his tongue against her cold cheek as a sign of mourning before he bowed his head solemnly and went to stand near LJ.

LJ murmured, "Where shall we bury her?"

When there was no answer to that question, EJ spoke up. "Just leave her here."

Jeff turned wildly at EJ, his eyes blazing with anger never seen before. "What do you mean, leave her here?"

EJ shrugged hopelessly. "It's better this way." He whispered.

Jeff shook his head, sending tears flying everywhere. "You don't know anything!" He bursted out. "You don't know what it's like to lose someone you love.. You don't even know what love is!" He shouted at EJ over the howling wind.

As soon as Jeff had said that, he immediately regretted what he said. But EJ didn't seem bothered by that at all. In stead, he let out a calm shaky breath, the fog rising up into the atmosphere and then slowly disappeared.

"You're right." He murmured. "I don't know what love feels like, even if I do know what it feels like, I've forgotten what it feels like."

"EJ-" Jeff began, but EJ got to him first.

"There's no need to apologize," he cut off, by raising his hand. "But it's better this way to leave her in peace, you know.. In the snow where the cold can bury away her pain and her sadness. The howling noises of the wind to keep her company. A place where nothing blooms except her love for you."

"Some things are better off when you let them go." EJ finished.

There was silence after EJ finished speaking. The words hit Jeff like the world fell upon his shoulders. He didn't know what this feeling was, but it felt like his heart was slowly breaking, crumbling apart and drifting away, never to be seen again. His eyes felt teary again and he looked up, trying to be brave.

LJ noticed and said, "Crying is normal for people. Let it out. Crying doesn't mean that you're weak. It means that you have been strong for too long." while smiling weakly.

And Jeff did so. He crumbled to his knees, burying his face in his hands. He suddenly felt the warm prescence of Smile, EJ, and LJ, then pairs of arms that grabbed him and hugged him tightly. He cried into the arms of his friends, so much that he had no more tears left to spare.

While Jeff cried, he knew what was the right thing to do.
He was sure of it.

That night Jeff dreamed of something weird.

❈~❈~❈~

"Hey."

All Jeff saw was darkness. It felt like he was closing his eyes, considering that he couldn't even blink. It felt weird.

"Hey." The same voice repeated itself once more.

That voice, Jeff thought. It's so familiar, too good to be true..

"Y/N..?" He called out uncertainingly.

"Yeah."

Jeff immediately felt like tearing up again. "You're alive?"

The girl giggled, the laugh that Jeff fell for. "Silly, I'm always alive, in your heart."

Jeff shook his head. "But I want you to be by my side, to share the memories I have together. I want you to be by my side forever, not only in my heart.."

"Oh, Jeff." The girl sighed. "You do know you would be dead by now if it weren't for me.."

"What do you mean?"

The girl sighed again. "It's a long story."

"I've got all night."

For some reason, Jeff somehow saw the girl's bright smile shining through his closed eyes in the darkness.

"Okay, so you see, I was granted a wish by the Man. I don't know why, but he said I could use the wish whever I wanted and on whatever I wanted."

Jeff felt the light becoming intense. He saw the faintest outline of the girl, sitting down in front of him. He gasped in surprise.

The girl continued. "I knew we were both going to die so.."

Jeff cut her off. "Why didn't you wish for both of us to live?" He asked.

Jeff saw her sad eyes staring deep into his soul, before shaking her head. "I tried that, it didn't work." She replied grimly. "Too much of a request can be done. I can only save one of us."

Jeff shook his head. "You're so stupid sometimes.."

He felt something cup his face with warm hands and he was looking at the bright silhouette of the girl, smiling up at him.

She was crying.

"Hey," Jeff whispered, wiping the tears off the girl's face. Right then and there, had it never felt so real. "You know I still love you, right?"

The girl nodded her head, holding Jeff's hand as he held her wet cheek. "I love you too." She whispered.

Although Jeff was holding the girl's cheek, it felt like the girl was drifting away from him. He glanced up and saw that the silhouette of the girl was now fading.

"What? You're leaving?" He stood up in disbelief.

The girl, still kneeled down on the floor, didn't get up. "It's your self conciousness. You're waking up." She explained.

"What?" Jeff asked out loud, shaking his head. "This is some sort of joke, right?" He pleaded.

The girl sighed. "It's not a joke.."

"W-what? T-Then.. when will you come back?"

The girl didn't answer him. She averted her eyes away from him, staring at the floor. Jeff stared at the faint silhouette of the girl that was now slowly fading away.

He knelt down beside her and the girl rested her head against his chest. He drew in what could be his last moment with his lover. "So this could be the last.." Jeff murmured.

The girl slowly nodded her head. "Promise me you'll be okay, okay? I don't want you to be sad. Stay with the people who make you happy the most, okay?"

She hesitated before adding, "Even if it means you have to find another girl.."

Jeff was struck by her words. He held her hand firmly. "What makes you think I'll find a girl to replace you?"

"Jeff, I'm dead." She said.

"I failed my mission."

"I'm.. I'm not the savior."

"I'm sorry.."

"You're my savior. You're my life, my love, my only. And that's the one thing that won't change." Jeff said.

"I'll never stop losing my breath everytime you look back at me. And I'll never stop choosing you, okay?"

"I love you." He pulled her into a warm hug.

He felt wet tears pouring down, damping his hoodie. The tight grip was slowly loosening and the scent of his girl was slowly disappearing.

Eventually he was only left with darkness, the girl disappeared, her scent, now faint, still lingering in the air.

Then he heard the faint echo of a sweet voice whisper into his ears.
"I love you too."

"What flowers should I get?"

"What does she like?"

"How should I know?"

A pair of hands slowly trailed over a patch of the whitest pure roses.

"I'll pick this one."

"Man, that's a lot of flowers.." A voice murmured.

"Yeah."

"C'mon lets go. It's starting to rain."

"Okay."

Leaves crunched beneath their feet and one of the males bent down and placed a boquet of white roses on one of the graves.

"See? What'd I tell you, Liu. I'd get you a boquet of flowers." A voice said sadly.

He sighed and turned to the other grave beside his brothers.

Y/N.

"Hey, I just realized. Why didn't you get Y/N flowers?" A voice spoke up.

"I'm not comparing my love to her for a piece of object."

"Yeeesh, I didn't know you were the romantic typee."

"Shut up."

"Hey, it's starting to rain," a quiet voice spoke up.

"Huh, yeah. C'mon, let's go before we all get sick."

"Okay."

"Hey, wait, you have an umbrella?"

"Um, yeah, why?"

"Gimme."

"What? No. Why?"

"It's for them." The male gestured towards the two wet gravestones.

"Fine.." The male's friend mumbled and handed him the dark blue umbrella.

"Thanks."

"You owe me."

The male carefully unfolded the umbrella and placed it against the gravestones, sheltering it from the wet rain.

"Okay, let's go." The male said, standing up, pulling his white hood over his jet black hair.

His two friends had already started walking in front of him, trying to get out of the rain.

"You coming?"One of his friends called out to him.

"Yeah," he said, jogging up to them.

He turned around to see the two gravestones for the last time and turned back to his friends, smiling.

"C'mon. Let's go home."
