White.

It had started snowing by seven in the evening. Glimmering snowflakes fell on the earth, painting its surface with a luminescent pale blue with the backdrop of the dusk covered with the duvet of grey puffs of clouds.

I was back at home, in the shelter of thick blankets and comforters. The sound of running shower water could be heard in the silence of the falling night along with the soft hums that awfully sounded like 'Feel Special'. My lips curved into a hint of a smile as my thoughts went back to the day's events.

However I was soon interrupted by the opening of the bathroom door and in came none other than Choi Soobin, fully dressed in his pyjamas.

"You didn't sleep?" That was his first question.

"Can't. Not when you are right here." I let out dreamily, voice a bit hoarse with the overwhelming happiness filling up in my chest and definitely not cold. Soobin smiled while making his way to the edge of the bed made for one person alone. I never would've had even a lingering thought that I might find myself actually being with someone, even if it's just for a few days...

And I was overthinking once again. Soobin was only gonna stay for a couple of weeks. After that, he would go back to his usual routine in Ansan. It saddened me how we had such a short period of time one day was already wasted in just talks.

But one good thing was that now, mom and Soobin were more acquainted and to say mom liked him was an understatement. I won't be surprised if she was already making future plans. But still-

"Stop it." I snapped out, looking towards the owner of the voice who leaned close with his elbows digging in the mattress. His was just a little too close. I didn't mind.

"Stop what?"

"Overthinking, baby. It's so loud and clear."

"You can...hear my thoughts?" I questioned, genuinely curious. Soobin had the audacity to be amused. "Maybe. You are probably thinking how I will k-"

"Shut up, spoiled bunny!" I smacked a pillow to his face that muffled the peals of laughter. "Oh god, I am sorry." He managed out in between. But once he stopped, his gaze fell on my face. Our line of sights connected and suddenly I felt almost immune to the cold.

Soobin rested his head on my lap with glittering pupils that stared right back. His hand reached out to tuck a stray strand of hair, that was falling in my eye, and slid down to my cheek, caressing it with a feather-like touch. I did not dare waver, lost in the sharp yet ethereal features of Choi Soobin.

"You look more beautiful up close. The laptop screen didn't do any justice to it." His voice was soft.

"That sounds cheesy."

"You love me for it."

"I love you for everything."

Maybe it was in the spur of the moment or something that we both longed for. We both leant in towards each other as if pulled by an imaginary magnetic force but stopped mere inches away. His breath fanned my face with the scent of a fresh garden full of lilies. That mere scent reminded me of mid-March with blooming flowers and renewing leaves with a fresh gentle breeze.

"Can I?" I barely heard those words. I did not say anything, instead, I slowly took a hold of his arm in the assurance that he understood.

The gap dissipated.

All that was left was me, him and the small kiss we shared in forever. We were closer than ever, crossing all the milestones together.

"What are your thoughts on cuddling?" Soobin suddenly asked after a long mutual silence. I scrunched my nose.

"I don't cuddle with anyone."

"But I am not anyone, am I?"

I grinned. "You are an exception."

The rest of the night we slept with arms wrapped around each other, living in the moment.
