Lily POV

"Stop, I'm tired!" I yelled. We have been roaming for hours to the point that I am regretting putting my faith in a stranger

"We're almost there!" I snapped at that response.

 "No, no more. I'm hungry, I'm exhausted and I reek!" I yelled at the both of them.

" Does your lover normally whine this much?" Asked the ram man.

 Lou replied "You don't you the half of it" Then they both laughed

"Fine then! Let me die. I'm done" I cried out from a distance. I was very serious when I said that. I turned my back on them and sat down and closed my eyes.

After a few minutes, it became quiet, and I started to panic internally. They could have perhaps left me behind, or could they?

"Get up" When I heard Lou's voice I won't lie that relief came over me when he came back for me . I turned around and opened my eyes. "Lou we have been walking nonstop, Look at me, I'm all bones at this point" He rolled his eyes and then pulled out a wooden container with water. I grabbed it and drank it greedily till the last drop. "Okay let's go" I shook my head to tell him no

He gave me pissed off glare "And here I  thought you were an athlete" he rubbed his forehead " I am but I don't do rely or racing, cross country, or anything that had to do with running long distances"

"I can't believe you right now, your being unfit has to be my problem?" he asked. 

"Complain as much as you want, I'm done walking"

He became quiet for a while "Fine get up" I stared at him. " I told you I'm not walking. " You not gonna walk" I raised my eyebrow but I complied. Lou turned around had pointed to his back indicating that I should get on. I did that happily

"I'm starting to wonder more and more why did I follow you"

"You thought I was interesting" I pinched his cheek

"Trust me that interest is long dead"

"Is it because you now have me?"

"I assume that it's your starved brain talking"

"What happened to mon amour?"

"It's just a cover it doesn't mean anything "

"Well, you still were interested in me and you stalked me soo..." He didn't reply and I lowered my head to find him red

"Aww, you blushing!"

"Because you weigh a ton"

"Aren't you an athlete?" He saw what I did there so he didn't reply

"So why were interested in me" I was feeling sleepy so I rested my head on his shoulder he was surprisingly comfortable lying on

"Because it's rare to find someone else who knows what I know" For some reason that touched me.

"We here" spoke the ram man and at that, Lou dropped me like I wasn't a person. "Ow!" I yelled at him.

"Graves is that you?" Spoke to an old lady who barged her door open.

Her hair was an unruly carmine-red that reached her waist. Though she had not a single wrinkle you could still tell that she had aged. Maybe it was because of her wide squared jawline or the droopy eyes of clover green.

"Meet Ziliah, my master" he bowed his head but she walked right past him "Hope you don't mind but she's blind" he went over to her and guided her to us. She first started to feel our faces and then I could see the insane joy on her face as though she had won the lottery

"Well done Graves you found them. I'll be sure to reward you". Graves guided her back into her home with us following behind.

"Now I'm sure that you are tired and hungry so please make yourselves at home " Graves came and brought us fruit to eat and I happly devoured it. After the small meal, Graves showed us to a big pond where could take a bath. Once we were finished he gave us a change of clothes that surprisingly fitted us like a glove.

"How are you feeling now?" Zillah asked. "Much better thank you" She smiled "Oh no need to thank me" she pinched my cheeks

"You wanted to make a deal with us " spoke out Lou. Ziliah was surprised "A mortal with a mind of its own?" She started strangely starting Lou. "That's her lover" spoke Graves. "Hmm odd choice for a partner but who am I to speak" She started to twirl around her home until she reached what I assume to be the living room. She made us sit on brown mushrooms

"Do you remember me, dear child?" I was caught off guard. "Of course you don't, you were only a child. I worked for your father as your caretaker"

"My father ?" She sent Graves to bring her tea. " Yes your father, courtmaster of the winter and autumn court  and master of the fae" Lou raised his eyebrow " You mean that Liliy is a royal?"

"Lily? What kind of name is that? Her name is Lorelei"

"That doesn't make any sense. You lying!"

"Neither fae nor fairy tells lies," she said while sipping her tea.

"But I'm the youngest of my mother's children" Ziliah gently placed down her tea and then touched me. I could feel my brain starting to itch and a warm force surrounding me. I could tell that she was doing something to me

"Your mother has no other child other than you. She met a man with 9 kids and they both agreed to use magic and make the children think that she is their mother and that they are all siblings. Must admit, smart woman" She let go of me and carried on drinking her tea

I felt my heart break and the world crushing down on me. I hid my face in Lou's chest and cried. He wrapped his arm around me and rubbed my back.

My name is not Lily, I don't have any siblings, I am a royal, and worst of all is that I had a father?!

Why would my mother lie about this? What was the reason behind her hiding this?

"You said that she met a man with 9 kids, Where did Sammy...wait no Adeline come from?" I spoke through my sobs. "There is only so much my gift will let me see, child"

We were silent for a while till I managed to stop crying. "Would you like to go and see your father, child ?"  Zillah asked.

Finding my father was not what I came for, I came to find my sister but could finding her be less important than finding out all the secrets my mother hid from and where I come from

"Please this is all too much for her to handle. Could you give her a chance to process all of this" Lou spoke on my behalf "Of course, take as much time as you need to. Graves show her to the guest room" Ziliah snapped her fingers and Graves helped me up and guided me out of the room

I was on my own until Lou came to join me after a while. He didn't say anything and sat next to me on my bed.

"Let it all out" he whispered and I did.
