He watched from the prince's audience, the mortals performing in a trance. Would be wrong to be jealous of their form of slavery? Not knowing that you're a slave
He took a sip of cold cranberry from his diamond-encrusted glass without turning away from the mortals. Only when the assembly was fully formed did he painfully turn away from the performers to hear the reason for this whole congregation, the sooner he knew, the sooner he'd return home
"As you know the time to crown the prince has arrived, tonight the faefolk will know who leads them, who is above them, and will know who to turn to in times of need. The prince of Faerieland, Prince Murry gains a new title tonight!"
It is sealed, with the crown on the prince's head he'll forever be tied to the crown whether he approved or not. In that harrowing moment, it was as though the blood wasn't reaching fast enough to his heart. Shuddering and forcing out breath after breath as his pupils became smaller like his existence in the room
"no crown will be placed on no prince's head!" a heathen voice barged into the room demanding to be noticed. Dripping blood like sweat, the wounded brute dragged a girl with him, no not just any girl
"Adeline" the sea prince cursed under his breath, no it can't be he thought. Though there was no mistaking Adeline's signature black spots and black freckles no other fae or fairy bears them other than the past king. She's come to agonize me, he thought. This time she won't have the last laugh. He will strike ten times more than she struck him, he will be her undoing, he will be her nightmare just as she once was his
"I see you no longer choose to hide Adeline ... no longer will I hide as well" He spoke to himself while still eyeing her with lust, lust for his revenge. His dark heart created by and every intention of seeing her misery.

The mother's POV
"I can offer you retribution if you help me find a little fairy" the hideous thing refused to face me"Offer me? You insult me mortal, give me one good reason not to kill you and dunk my hat into your blood" finally the Red cape was starting to ask the right question
"I can get you back into Faerieland" he turned his head so sharply I heard his bones turn with him. There was longing building up inside of him, I could see it in his eyes. He has been lured into my trades
"This fairy, what is it like?" I smiled "For years this fairy had paraded around as my daughter and I believed it but the day before its disguise slipped. It had black spots and black freckles, eagle wings, and white coily hair" "How will you get me into Faerieland?" he asked the wrong question " A mortal has her ways" I vaguely responded quite annoyed
"very well, I'll be of usefulness to you till the full moon rises in the mortal world in exchange for my permanent entrance to Faerieland. No twists or schemes nor will you be able to turn your back on your word even if you are mortal. For if you do, I'll spend my years hunting you down and making you pay. I will hunt this fairy on my own accord, your only power will be deciding the fate of the fairy once I capture it. "it's done" he snorted "Your word is worthless, mortals can lie" "My word is just as worthy as any fae folk" "fine then"
"Mommy is coming Sammy" I whispered hoping that the wind would carry my message to the ears of my real daughter
