The poison effects were immediate. My body started to shut down. My vision blurs. I try to focus. I needed to get off this thing. I try to get up, but the poison was like a weight attached to my legs. 

"Cloud!" Jessie yelled running.

The creature and me drove back. I was still grabbing my sword. My body went limp. I felt like a dead fish. The creature soon slid off the side. Dragging me down into the sewage. 

"Cloud!" Tifa and Aerith yelled. 

The sewage water was as thick as mud. The creature was alive still. It kicked me off of it. I stare at it. It moved around me. It was agile in the water. It clearly had the advantage. I was practically a sitting duck. The poison wasn't making it any easier. It charged at me. I do not think I have the strength to dodge it. I cover myself with my arms. A claw came up from the shadows and impaled the creature. It was golden. It shot out of the water.

"What the!" Aerith screamed. 

"What the hell?!" Barret yelled.

"Cloud what are you doing in this murky water?" Arathia's voice echoed. 

Another golden hand came up from beneath me. It drove me up. I gasped in the air.

"Cloud!" Tifa yelled. 

She moved me to Tifa and the others. She slides me down. I stumble onto the sewage floor. I gulped in air. 

"Are you alright?!" Tifa asked.

I couldn't speak the poison was getting stronger. I looked at her.  My vision was getting blurrier. 

"Look where you are without me." Arathia smiled emerging out of the water. 

She walked over to where I was. She wrapped her arms around me. She bit her arm. Her blood was surprisingly not golden. It was black. Black like the abyss. Black like space. It entered the cut. My breath starts to slow down. My vision starts to become clearer. I stood up. Her arms were still wrapped around me.

"So, you're the Golden Demon." Barret asked.

"Hm. So observant. I am she." Arathia said.
