My head snaps to Hendrickson. The furious orange of my eyes connect with his and I hold his gaze. Blazing back at him. He opens his mouth to say something, but soon closes it. His smile quirks into a smirk the corners of his eyes folding.

My eyes squint.

He goes and lifts a hand making a hand motioning to Meliodas. I lift my hand mid way just in case for precaution. He stares at me almost like he's solving a puzzle. Staring at as if I'm that one piece that looks like it should fight but it doesn't. His hand lowers slowly.

"You know I'm not the true enemy here, correct?" He gives me a puzzled look. I have a poker face written all over. But in my mind it's screaming confusion. Why did he point at Meliodas? What has he ever done to me for him to become an enemy of mine?

I look at Meliodas with my peripheral vision. His blonde hair wild and crazy with his chest moving up and down.

All I ask for, for him to be still alive.

Hendrickson clears his throat and sighs. "Of course you of all people wouldn't know." He whispers with such a sadness and almost regret.

My eyebrows crease still staring at Meliodas. What's he getting at it?

Hendrickson again lifts his hand and clenches it into a fist. A strong screeching bursts through my ears. Making me clutch my head in pain. I grit my teeth trying to numb the pain. Warm thick liquid drips through my fingers with the smell of iron.

I force open my eyes and I see Meliodas. He's now standing staring at me with dead eyes. I see everything go through these eyes.

Death

Blood

Gold caked in blood

Emerald eyes gone

Fabric torn

Black pools of nothing

Nothing

Darkness

I now know what Hendrickson meant

That is all
